Centrally located nice apartment

Central location, nice apartment.

The air vent on the bedroom window was missing, making the noise from the street very loud in the night. the remote for the TV was not operating properly despite me putting new batteries in it.

Location, comfy and (surprisingly!) quiet.

There was a poo festering in the toilet. The room smelt like takeaway. I didn’t trust it was clean, but it generally seemed ok apart from the above. It was functional, not cozy, no character.

Ok for what we required

Basic accommodation for a one night stay was ok. Plenty of selfcatering equipment but we didn’t use anything other than the kettle. Chosen for location and price so very good. Comfortable bed. Ease of check in.

The glass panel next to the door is unnecessary and let in light from the hallway all night and disrupted sleep, so reason we would not book again. Also soundproofing not great. Late night noise from next door.

Value for money in central location. Very warm accommodation, comfortable bed with everything you require for self catering apartment.

The apartment was lovely, big enough, lovely big shower, fab kitchen facilities, big comfy bed, great for heat and cold, heated bathroom floor, high toilet(funny but good for me with a bad back) , really easy to check in.

The tv remote wasn't great, not sure if it was the batteries or the remote, and then 1 light switch wasn't working which might be the lamp in the living room as that wasn't working either.

Honestly good bang for buck with fee caveats

The location is very prime id say super accessible and safe

There was zero heating in my room we were surviving with a dingy portable oil radiator meaning both of us are super sick after that one day we lived in that place. The toilet wasn’t super clean too

The light bulb was hanging from the sealing, there was only one toilet roll and bin bag for a 6 day stay. The shower was dirty so I had to clean it before we used it.

Gorgeous location and comfy beds

Perfect location with views of winter wonderland and the museum. Local cafe and restaurants nearby. Ample pay and display parking. Beds were very comfy. Easy and secure access to the building and very kind and helpful staff. Would stay again.

Microwave hard to operate and no manual provided. Shower has mould and it's very hard to change the temperature. Cleanliness in corners of apartment could've been better.

Being charged an additional fee of 37 pounds for checking in 2 hours early, when the property was clearly ready when we arrived. Standing in the rain with our luggage after a 30 hour journey, we had little choice - but it felt extortionate when all they did was handover the key card. Would not recommend this property agency.

Highly Recommend for Solo Traveler in Cardiff

Really cozy for solo traveler. Had everything I needed for 3 nights. Super walkable to anything in Cardiff Central; only a 15minute walk to train station and stadium. Bed comfortable and quiet. Thank you for the circulating fan.

It's a lot of different codes to get inside, but small beans. No shelf inside shower. Bathroom lighting poor.

Great location. Parking around the corner.

The location was spot on! £11 24 hour parking 2 min walk. Dinner at the pen and wig I think was great. Just by the carpark. 10 min walk from the arena we was seeing live music at. Key code entry was good as we arrived late due to weather.

Bathroom was filthy! No hand soap provided. The shower trap was full of hair. The shower screen hadn’t been cleaned and as for the shower head it had more black mould hanging off it then you could see the shower. Blind by the bed wasn’t big enough to stop the light shining in. The person before had put Sellotape on it so wasn’t just my problem We was meant to stay two nights but drove home at 11 pm after the concert as the light coming through was too annoying and wanted a clean shower before work the next day in Devon

All rooms spacious for a 1 bed apartment with a nice bathroom, well decorated living and kitchen area and bed was comfy.

Small kitchen. Not a lot of space for cooking and missing a few bits like a frying pan but other than that good value for money.

Family stay

It was clean, and the interior looked good. It was very central.

It was designed more to look good than to be practical. There wasn't a single hook on a door. There were no coathangers. We had to hang wet coats and wet towels over the dining room chairs. The towel rail in the bathroom didn't heat up. The sink in the bathroom was shallow, but water came from the tap quickly. If you weren't careful, you got covered in water. In the one bedroom, if you got up in the night to go to the toilet, you walked into the dressing table. Me and husband were looked out of the flat because our key cards didn't work. When we rang the office, they dealt with it quickly. However, we were then afraid for the rest of the day if the same thing would happen again.

This is an ideal location for exploring Cardiff. The apartments are clean, comfortable and well designed.

Great location and the studio flat had lots of storage with everything you might need for your stay. We felt safe and secure in the area and it was close to the centre.

The bathroom is a little tired and could do with the flooring replacing. The people smoking in the balcony kept propping the door open and smoke was often outside our room. I would request a room away from the balcony next time I visit.

Fabulous location, wonderful apartment.

Brilliant apartment and location. There was a problem with our key but Daffydd was there in about two minutes to sort it and he was excellent.

No parking nearby and £15.95 a day at Dumfries Place. Better double glazing on windows, the noise of students shouting and bawling on their way home from town almost all night was annoying.

The amenities were all great! Not cheaping out with anything.

The room was a bit warm and the floors were dirty. The fan really helped. I gave the floor a little wipe, so it wasn't a big deal, but I would have liked it to be clean on arrival.

Small self-contained studio in central Cardiff

Good value considering the central location & amenities. Within stones throw of National Museum and short walk to Cardiff Castle. Two small train stations nearby made it easy to go on day trips to nearby towns. Studio was clean and had plenty of storage space. Self check-in/out was very straightforward. Nice seating area outside the room to hang out and get fresh air.

Minor: TV did not swivel, so it was difficult to watch from the bed. Major: Very poor air circulation. Bathroom exhaust fan didn’t work (yes, we’ve switched it on). Opening the window was not the best option either as it was in front of a busy street (explains why the blinds were so dirty). Room exhaust fan was very loud. I hope they’ll consider replacing the fancy Dyson tower fan with a much cheaper standing fan that we all know actually works. Otherwise, I wouldn’t recommend staying in the smaller studio during the summer.

The room was 28 degrees, it needs air conditioning. Even though fans were on constantly the room dropped by 1 degree. The fan are no use as you are pushing around warm air. My husband had to sleep on the floor as it was too hot. I couldn’t sleep. No window to open. We left at midnight on the second night as again too hot, no way of sleeping. Was a big disappointment as we wasted our money and wasn’t the relaxing trip we hoped for. Have come home shattered. Ashame.

amazing, definitely coming again

it was quite cozy, all of the other visitors were quiet as we never heard a thing, even though we were only here for two nights we will definitely be coming back

we only had 2 small complaints: 1. it was very hot in the room and the fan wasn’t strong enough 2. the TV positioning, my partner and i can’t fall asleep unless we’re watching a programme however the TV was facing the end of the bed by a desk which we would have to look down and both of us be on our left side

Unbearably Hot Room

This place is repurposed student accommodation. Clear check-in instructions, decently equipped kitchenette, lots of storage shelves and such for luggage, close to the city center. Overall, perfectly fine as a budget option for a short stay in Cardiff.

Unfortunately, the temperature in the room completely spoiled our experience. We were not in Cardiff during a heat wave - just normal summer weather for the duration of our stay. And the room did not go below 28c/82f the entire time we were there, with spikes up to 30c/86f during the day or when we cooked. The window to the outside does not open at all. Two fans were in the unit, so this is definitely a problem that management is aware of. But all the fans succeed in doing is to move hot, humid air around the room. So it was this ONE thing - unbearable heat - that really ruined our stay. I understand some buildings simply don’t have a way of regulating indoor temperature well, but these temperatures at all hours of day and night should really be disclosed in the listing description. Also, and this is relatively minor in comparison, but every unit has a tall window (which doesn’t open) right next to the door which gives a direct view of the bed to anyone in the hall. The curtains do a very mediocre job obscuring the window.
