Park Lane Aparthotel by Urban Space

"First impression", they say, matters a lot. I must acknowledge the speedy response and considerable resolution I received via email from Mia, the reservation executive. Not just that she responded in a timely manner, but she offered me the choice of an early check-in, without any additional payment. Secondly for me again, was the location, cleanliness and stress-free self check-in process....it was indeed as described in the email prior to my arrival. Finally, was the level of quietness...I completely enjoyed it as my wife and I needed the sort of space to relax. In the two nights I found myself waking up after 9am...this had never happened before. Overall, I had a good time and would certainly recommend this apartment to friends and family.

The bright light. I would recommend you isolate the bedroom light or separate it from the main light. Or you can create an adjustable feature to the lighting as it was too bright for me. Whenever my wife needed to make a drink or use the kitchen space, the light went straight into my eyes as it was far too bright.

Good location. Located between Cardiff University & city centre. Clean, safe & quiet.

The location great

We were assigned an accessible room, which we had not booked and were not informed about in advance. Had we known, we would not have chosen this room type. Unfortunately, the bathroom was not practical for our needs. As it was a wet room, there was nowhere suitable to place toiletries or personal items, so we had to keep them in the kitchen area. The sink was extremely low and very small, making it difficult to wash or brush our teeth, which again meant using the kitchen sink instead. There was also no hairdryer provided and no suitable area with a mirror to do hair or makeup. Due to the room's accessible design, the bed was very low. At over 6ft tall, I found this uncomfortable, and the mattress was clearly in need of replacement as every spring could be felt, resulting in a poor night's sleep. Finally, when we contacted the property to raise our concerns, the response was simply that there was nothing they could do as they were fully booked. While we understand availability may have been limited, we felt the issue was handled poorly and with little regard for our concerns. Overall, the room did not meet our expectations, and the lack of communication and customer service was disappointing.
