Wonderfully, relaxing place to stay.

Tangle Tower is in a great location with lovely views across the Beauly Firth. It has lots of historical references which is nice.. It has everything that you need. Also, handy for Inverness with a bus stop right next to it. Lovely walk to Merkinch Nature Reserve.

We loved everything! The house was amazing, the views were amazing. The host was so helpful when we left something behind - arranging for this to be sent to Australia. Would highly recommend Tangle Tower. It also snowed which was such a novelty for us.

Amazing

What an amazing place. We spent 2 weeks driving through Scotland and Tangle Tower was the accomodation that stood out to us the most. We loved the location, the views, and the house was so cosy. If I was ever back in Inverness I'd 100% want to stay there again.

For a family with young children, it can be a little awkward as parents are on ground floor and other bedrooms are higher. But this was only a minor inconvenience

Outstanding, couldn’t be more satisfied.

The extra touches such as the eggs and milk were thoughtful and the lemon drizzle cake was a wonderful treat. And the cleanliness of the house was excellent.

The WiFi wasn’t as strong as ideal and didn’t reach the upper bedroom without being a fair bit slower than in the living room and kitchen, but a minor issue.

From the moment we entered the kids and ourselves fell in love with Tangle Tower. The history, the little touches to remind you of a life gone by, the home made cake and milk left in the fridge fire us all helped but the location, and views were what really made it special. E we even saw seals on the 1st night whilst sat out on the terrace eating.

Best holiday place I and my sister have ever stayed. Nothing was too much trouble for the owner - her customer service is exceptional. Spotlessly clean, very comfortable beds and furniture, quiet location with amazing views. Lovely decor, and all up to date.

Nothing to do with the cottage itself. However, Inverness bus transport is horrendous at the moment. Although buses to and from the town centre stopped outside the cottage, they are often cancelled without notice. We just called the local taxi service who were excellent, well priced and very friendly

perfect stay near city center and right on the water

tangle Tower is a very interesting place right on the water. it’s just far enough from the city center to feel like you are out in the country but only 5 minutes away. It is a large property with lawn and a detached garage and lots of off street parking. there were four of us with plenty of room to spread out, even a tower living room with a huge picture window. the one bathroom serviced the whole house but it was enormous! we very much enjoyed our stay!

Excellent

Located right on the shore of the Beauly Firth, Tangle Tower is perfect for a quiet break but within easy walking distance of Inverness City centre. We saw otters and seals from the patio and porpoises and common dolphins were also in the area. The house is beautifully decorated, and the lemon cake that was waiting for us when we arrived deserves a special mention.

Wonderful stay, couldn’t of had any better, place was lovely.

We loved everything about Tangle Tower. The view was amazing, the lovely welcome pack on arrival was a nice touch. The way it’s decorated, attention to detail, very welcoming, very cosy, very private. The host Cherry was very helpful and informative on everything, nothing was to much trouble for her, she gets straight back to you if you contact her. We have had a wonderful stay and loved every minute of it. Thank you for making our holiday a memorable one. Would definitely return back to Scotland and Tangle Tower.

Lovely quirky house

Only 30 minutes walk from the shops. Quiet location on the shore. House is lovely and the beds very comfy. Superb upstairs viewing room which my teenage son had as a bedroom, using the sofa bed. Everything was there and the host was easily contactable and very friendly. Would recommend if you like something a bit different. Brilliant for us, far better than staying in a hotel 👍🏻

Fabulous property in a great location we will be back.

The property has the best views of any property I can remember. The beds and linens were excellent and the location was lovely and quiet. The property had options for sleeping and sightseeing it was a very short trip into the centre of Inverness. The local wildlife makes it a must if you enjoy birdwatching and otter spotting.

Leaving. If I was pushed the bath tap had the noisiest air lock ever so we gave up on the bath. The shower made up for this. I let the property owner know about this.
