Disgusting and disappointing

The sofa bed mattress has a HORRENDOUS smell of stale urine, which in the end we could not use it was so bad. Also, the cot mattress was unusable - it was wooden slats instead of a mattress for some reason?? Which again, ultimately, my nephew could not sleep on and cried all night because of this - it is rock solid and not suitable for babies/toddlers. As well as the massive amount of black mould in the bathroom, there was again a smell of stale urine. The glasses in the kitchen cupboard were still wet/dirty from earlier in the day. Overall, for what we paid, we were bitterly disappointed. For the price we paid, it did not meet standards or expectations whatsoever.

Location was excellent

Badly needed redecoration bed / bedroom very small and stiffly hot. Couldn’t leave velum windows open due to noise and potential rain. expected pub noises being in the town but kept awake all night by sea gulls and busy road noises

The kitchen area was very nice

Bedding wasn't ironed, flat needs a good deep clean, mould around the window in living room. Communal area into flat had a smell of damp, was dark and badly needed painted. Wasn't able to connect to wifi

Good communication with owner, very attentive, property is Very central to centre of town in walking distance of everything we were there for. Very comfy bed, could be doing with a cheese grater loves our stay would definitely be back

Great location in the city centre, close to shops etc.

There was a bad smell I couldn’t get rid off even after leaving the windows open. Pillows were fairly worn down and not as comfortable. Parking was an inconvenience but this is out of the owners control as it’s city centre based

Fine budget flat, quiet and comfortable, with a few minor issues.

Flat was quiet despite being next to a pub. Separate bedroom was nice and dark.

Lock on the apartment door should be updated for modern international use ie. 19th century key. Thermostat instructions are needed: almost always an issue, not just here.

The location was great .

The entrance to the apartment was dark and dingy and smelling of damp and the whole.apartment needed cleaned and painted the bedroom was.poorly lit and behind the sliding doors was needing some TLC bed ŵas not comfortable towels were not adequate the shower wouldn't drain properly and whoever did the joinery in the toilet needs there eyes tested the hall was badly lit the living area had bulbs missing from the lights ,the microwave had paint removed from the inside which is a hazard we didn't use any of the cooking facilities as would need to clean everything prior to use overall the apartment was needing cleaned and painted and subsequently surprised booking.comm recommends this apartment would never use it again.

HORROR BED!!! Stay away from this Place!

Location was pretty good but everything was spoiled by horrendous bad bed!

We stayed in apartment nr 2 and the bed was the worst we have ever come across in more than 30 years! When you wanted to lay down you sank to the bottom. It was so bad that I got an injury in my shoulder. I had to go to the hospital to get a check up and this cost us half a day. The owner received a message but could not be bothered to reply!

the bathroom was too small, the shower , toilet & sink were to close together hence limited space, quite a claustrophobic feel! ok if you’re a smaller person and pretty lean I’d say manageable !! overall the house could have been cleaned more thoroughly, personally I didn’t feel it was to a high enough standard!! Also there was no hot water due to a pressure issue with the boiler, however the host , did come and rectify this very promptly!! so satisfied with their response in that respect !!

Perfect location, comfy bed, helpful host, easy check-in and check-out, clean with plenty of storage.

Could've had more cutlery, plates, bowls, cups and glasses. A hoover would've been helpful and perhaps a couple of extra armchairs.

The apartment was very central to bars so great for us

The bed was shocking very noisy even with just turning over and mattress has defiantly seen better days. .bedding very old also Drain fr shower needs looking at as nearly overflowed due to not draining. Towels were old and hard. Stairs going into apartment could be doing with a clean also. Bedroom view was a wall so no natural light to come in.

Very noisy people upstairs - but I think soundproofing is more the issue. Could have done with some cleaning supplies as some bits and pieces could have done with a deeper clean.

Terrific value for money, very comfortable

Fantastic location for the bus and train station. close to many restaurants, pubs and shops. very easy self check in instructions.. The apartment has everything you need for your stay. It was lovely and warm for our coldest weather spell in January to date. The sofa bed is the most comfortable sofa bed I have ever slept on. the kitchen is lovely and we felt very safe in the property.

The pillows - unfortunately not enough for 3 people as only 4 pillows in total. the pillows are also flat and needing replaced. I would also have preferred mattress protectors and pillow protectors for hygiene on prior to the sheets and pillow slips. The bathroom needs a better more thorough clean also and bath sheets needed instead or as well as the small towels provided. these are small things that could easily be fixed and I would definitely stay again. thank you for providing lovely accommodation for such a short stay.
