The staff were the Best, Kylie, Claire and Sandra were all exceptional, very accommodating to all our requests. Breakfast was great, huge and varied. Location was good. Value for money was very good. Evening meals in the restaurant were good value, service great.

Parking near hotel sometimes a little difficult, but we always managed to find a space reasonably near by. Otherwise no complaints at all.

Clean and tidy with good food and excellent staff.

Central Douglas was ideal for me on this occasion. The food was excellent and the breakfast set me up for the day. Staff were excellent and really helpful.

A most enjoyable short break, I would happily return to the Ascot.

A warm welcome, such friendly and helpful staff. Choices at breakfast were exceptional, a great start to the day, excellent evening meals, well worth eating at the hotel restaurant. Room service was daily and 1st class.

Parking could be an issue, although personally lucky in finding a space near the hotel each evening. Not really the hotels fault but something to bear in mind.

Nice location

The location was good and the rooms were clean. The breakfast was fine.

The bath room was not good the shower did not mix cold and hot water. The check out time was 10.30am. They told us to check out before 10if possible

Well located but in need of some updates.

Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Good location just off the promenade. Decent breakfast.

Old building with very narrow corridors and stairwells which felt a little claustrophobic. One of the windows in our room didn't open and on a summer's night it felt uncomfortably warm.

Marvellous

A lovely hotel with the friendliest staff I have ever met, who could not do enough to ensure that your stay was great. The food and service was excellent in the restaurant. I will definately being staying here next time I visit the IOM.

Excellent stay and will be back

Great hotel, breakfast was excellent, lots of choice and all products of good high quality. Also very important to me is their coffee machine was excellent, it was a fresh bean to cup machine which is a must for me these days and the hotel excelled with their coffee. Staff were excellent and very friendly, always there to help and assist in anyway. I was there for TT and the location of the hotel is excellent for walking to the pits as only a short walk up the hill so this was really handy, I will most definitely be visiting again in the future.

Not a fault of the hotel but the seagulls are a pain as very loud at 04:00 so my sleep was disrupted most mornings. I noticed in Douglas that these rats of the sky seem to take up residence on a lot peoples rooftops so maybe earplugs would’ve helped.

OK but smelly

The location the staff were lovely. Value for money.

There was a bad smell in the bathroom that wouldn't go away we had to keep the door closed so the smell wouldn't be so bad in the bedroom. And you couldn't open a window in the bathroom.

Location, near the Promenade and a bus stop, and Nobles Park. Free tea and coffee in the bar and easy seating area
