Quietness and size of the room front room

Room was very cold. Only one toilet roll breakfast was minimal and of poor quality for £14.00 that we thought was included in the price when booking but was not. Booking was very mid-leading

Excellent hotel - value for money.

This family owned and run hotel is an absolute gem. By far the best hotel we have stayed in on the Isle of Man and we've stayed in quite a few! Staff were kind and friendly. Our room was clean and had everything you could need. Food - evening meal and breakfast - was freshly cooked, nicely presented, tasty and good value for money. Location was great. Next time we visit the Island we will definitely be staying here.

Good location for exploring Douglas

Nice view. Good sized room. They weren't shy with the complimentarys. Breakfast was 1st class with local fresh ingredients. Staff were friendly and helpful. Pretty good overall

A Cosy Long Stay in Douglas

Super friendly team, and a lovely family feel about the hotel. It's been welcoming guests in Douglas for over 120 years, and owned by the present owners for over 50 years who have expanded the hotel twice into adjoining properties. Bedding and beds are superb, and there's a choice of pillows. Extremely clean throughout, especially bathrooms. The hotel is nice and warm. There's a lift to all floors. Breakfast choices are excellent. Dinner options good - we ate in nearly every evening. The staff are incredibly kind and happy. We stayed for six days and would happily return.

It's a little further out of Douglas town centre than we expected, but this actually made parking easier and meant the area is very quiet both day and night. The decor is slightly dated, but this was not a downside for us - it could be for some.

It all went well, loved the hotel, it has a nice feel to it. My room was just the job and the bathroom had a great shower. The restaurant was excellent with a really good breakfast. All the staff were helpful and very friendly , I hope to return again soon.

Family and friends trip

What a gem of a hotel. Family run and nothing was too much trouble, the room we had was a decent size and I requested a shower over bath which I was given, I knew it would be busy because of the TT trials but considering it was full there was no drop in service. Breakfast was perfect, the bar was very reasonably priced and the view to the sea was lovely from the outside terrace. We will 100% stay again and it's not often I say that. We loved our stay and the Welbeck was a great choice

If there was a downside it was the room was very hot, but the reception sent up 2 fans which helped a little. The rooms facing towards the front of the hotel seem cooler. Next time we will request one

Parking on road bad camber for motorcycles parking on front best then a walk up hill with bags Room very hot even with window open ( on max with safety catch) If Marshalling food stops at 8.30pm Noisy from next room hear toilet flush and fill up even kettle

Wonderful stay Wonderful Isle of Man

Wonderful stay at Welbeck. Rooms are clean and comfy. Staff are lovely and do all they can to help you . Breakfast is fresh , local and well cooked . They are doing their best to reduce plastic waste which is good . View of the bay from the room was a bonus .

Unbeatable

Stylish and clean hotel with a view of Douglas Bay and 3 min walk to public transport. They have the nicest English breakfast I have ever tasted. Tasty kippers plus cold fruits and cereals are fabulous. We loved the bar and restaurant too. Extremely friendly and helpful staff including the owner's family. Big thank you to you all. We'll be back!

Good mattress Cleaning staff are excellent and do a good job

The smell in the room was horrendous. We had the fan on in the kitchen constantly but each time we arrived in the room we could still smell food. Not pleasant. Mould on tiles in bathroom Needs a face-lift for the price. When someone moved in the room above then we could hear them talking at 3am and walking around.

A great place to stay in a good location for exploring the island.

All the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent with a large choice and service was quick. Nice sized room and bathroom which was cleaned daily. Lovely sea view. Great to have a choice of pillows.

A convenient, clean and traditional hotel with helpful staff.

Our family room had all of the facilities that we needed. Spacious and clean. The lounge bar is very traditional and welcoming.

We personally didn't have an issue with it but people of limited mobility will as there are many quite steep stairs and multi levels in the hotel, however here is a small lift. There was no water in the rooms or water fountain, a small issue but easily rectified.
