Great B&B at a decent price, easy access to everything in Douglas.

My room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The breakfasts were excellent and the hosts, Steve and Maria, were very friendly and helpful, Easy access to town centre (10-15 min stroll). Great bars and restaurants, I would recommend 'Jak's Smokehouse' on the seafront. Will definitely be back!

This bed and breakfast is amazing the host Steve and Maria are a lovely couple and nothing is to much trouble . Everywhere is spotlessly clean and the breakfast are lovely my favourite is Steve's scrambled eggs

Lovely place small rooms small shower. No clean towels!

The host steve was bang on..nothing was to much trouble!

I had a double room ,shower is very small ! Towels not changed ..no milk or tea after first day as no one really clean the room..when I confronted steve he said you should put towels on the floor ? Then I was told we have no staff to clean the rooms ! Hence no towls !

Lovely family run guest house, clean and comfortable, Steve and Maria are friendly and professional hosts.A full freshly cooked breakfast is included.Good location just off the promenade in a quiet street.

Great central location.lovely owners but could do with a deep clean

Staff lovely very friendly and welcoming and approachable. Breakfast included was nice. Location brilliant to centre and seafront.

Wasn’t sure whether it was manned 24/7 or not. No reception area. “Pink scum” around the shower fittings, meaning it needed a deep clean, and water marks around toilet, sink and shower door frame etc (as a cleaner myself, these are basic areas to clean after each guest). Made me feel a little unclean whilst there but couldn’t fault the owners. So don’t let it put you off.

Our stay was a pleasant one, our hosts were exceedingly helpful and friendly,

The breakfast was excellent with a good choice of extras to the main cooked breakfast.

The room was not cleaned properly, a new vacuum may be required and dusting not done. Tea and coffee ran out in the room, we had to ask our daughter for some who was in the next room.

This was my fourth stay over four years at Glenfaba. It was as good as I had experienced before. I will try to stay there again when I visit the Isle of Man next year. Steve and Maria are excellent hosts.

A lovely friendly guest house in Douglas, Isle of Man.

We liked the friendly but very efficient way that Maria & Steve run this guest house. Every little detail is thought of. We liked the location, which is near the promenade, but in a quiet side street. Altogether a good experience at a sensible price.

Our stay at the Glenfaba

My friend and I loved our stay, the hotel is very easy to find and in an ideal location. The breakfast was fabulous. The room was very welcoming, comfortable and clean Our hosts was very warm, welcoming, attentive and very generous. It was a joy and pleasure to stay at the Glenfaba... we will be back soon.

Superb location for the TT, good installation, friendly and helpful staff. They also speak spanish!!

The location

The kitchen is on the lower floor, so the smell of the food is everywhere in the hotel, including the room. If they fix that, it will be a very well improvement.

Nice but very pricey

My mum and her partner stayed for a week ,it was a lovely room with good views,but apparently it was very cold in the evenings. Breakfast was abit average and so for the price paid we feel a little disappointed. Staff were very friendly and the bed was comfy.

The hosts, Steve and Maria were excellent. Very helpful. Great location. Clean welcoming and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. And just enough to fuel your day.

Hard to find fault really. Not a problem for me but, there's no lift to top floor if you're less able-bodied, but I'm sure Steve or Maria would be happy to help. Maybe a bigger TV but hey!! 😊

I would definitely stay at Glenfaba again as it was so convenient and good value.

The location was great for everything and out hosts were very friendly and helpful. We had bikes with us and we were able to store them inside.

Room i was at the back of the hotel with people using the back entrance smoking and chatting into the small hours with bright lights and doors opening and closing Room was stuffy and could do with a fan to get the air round and softer pillows would be better

Lovely place Steve was helpful and waitress was friendly too.bad mattress, noisy street at night

Breakfast was lovely, staff serving very pleasant. Provided gluten free option. But I wasn't allowed it on the second day so can't comment on thst. . I couldn't get down to breakfast as was painful for my back using the stairs and i hadnt slept because of a bad mattress. Marie said I couldn't eat in the room. Steve helped us with our luggage and was very helpful.

Bed was the most uncomfortable one I've ever slept in. Old and hard even with a topper on. Steve did give us extra quilt to sleep on bit it dudnt help. I let Marie know next day but she wasn't empathetic or apologetic. We didnt sleep well for both nights we were there and I couldn't have breakfast on the second day due to painful back, so I couldn't get up in time and Marie said my husband couldn't bring anything upstairs for me to eat in the room, she didn't even offer some toast! We were not allowed to iron in the room , no iron or board provided. Marie said I had to go downstairs to use it but I have a disability and so does my husbsnd so it was painful going up and down 2 flights of stairs, especially as my back was very sore from the bad mattress.. But she went out to the shop and I couldn't find her all evening to open the room for me to do it anyway. She didn't let me know if she did come back. No fans provided and it was very warm. Street noise at night was very loud

I enjoyed my stay in Douglas on the Isle Of Man but the accommadation could have been better,

The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. Great breakfast with really good dining room service.

I had a single room which was a little cramped. The shower and toilet facilities were also cramped. For the money I paid I thought the room was substandard. I have stayed at much better accommodation in better situations at a less expensive price.
