I would stay again if you had new mattresses.

Nothing to be picky about with this hotel. If you're paying £500 a night then you are justified in expecting something out of this world. I've stayed in literally 100s of hotels throughout the UK with work and the Chesterhouse is right on the money.

Not a great experience

Centrally located. Nice staff.

Extremely noisy both nights. A party somewhere that went on till 5am. Next night, loud talking/party until 2am. Pigeons nesting somewhere making noise. (3rd floor). Toilet required muliple flushes to work properly. Extremely annoying. small claustrophobic lift. Very narrow corridor.

Excellent location and couldn’t have picked a better room, the view was stunning. All the staff where brilliant especially the gentleman on reception and the head house keeper

We had the carvery evening meal which we wouldn’t do again. It was cooked perfectly but was the standard you would expect for coach parties but not worth what we paid as none coach party guests. Breakfast however was beautiful

A good base for our day trip activities over 5 days on the Isle of Man. Very comfortable stay in the bigger room. Might

Location fantastic on the Promenade. Breakfast was very good and the meal we had in the restaurant was excellent. We paid extra for a room facing onto the Promenade and a view out in to bay. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The room we were put in was very small and a bit claustrophobic. Asked for a change and we paid a bit extra for the better room. We were glad it was available.

It was central. Staff were really nice and outstanding hot breakfast buffet with a choice of continental. If you wanted a meal in the hotel mains I.e. fish and chips was only £14.50

This place was perfect for everything. The location is ideal, and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. We arrived early and were able to leave our bags until the rooms were ready—and they even managed to get our rooms prepared ahead of schedule. The bus stop is directly outside, which makes it incredibly convenient to travel in either direction. The rooms were exceptional, and all the thoughtful touches were much appreciated—especially the soap and shower gel in the bathroom, which was a lifesaver since we only brought hand luggage and couldn’t pack full-sized liquids. The 11am checkout is a great bonus, allowing time to enjoy breakfast and still relax while packing up. This hotel has truly thought of everything when it comes to its guests, and we’ll definitely stay here again if we return.

I very much enjoyed my stay and would consider returning to this hotel next time

The staff were friendly, helpful and professional. Room was spacious, with sea view which is top priority for me, and all the basics I could need were there. Breakfast was great to start the day with, even though I slept through the second morning.

I am particular about the beds I sleep on and the bed in my room felt a bit too rough to my tastes, but I understand that it is just me personally. It was a bit noisy outside at night, but it was during the weekend and it's not the hotel's fault. Oh, and also I hate sinks with two taps.

Spacious room. Windows that open and have a great view; especially the bay window.

We could hear the crosswalk beeping and traffic. For the quiet area, it’s rather noisy. Hard to sleep. Needed the windows open for fresh air and it too warm in the room. So we were torn between fresh cool air vs quieter.

Staff were excellent. Rooms were extremely clean. Excellent location. Breakfast was great. Rooms looked like they had all been recently renovated.

The older lady and gentleman who were working reception when we arrived were very helpful and friendly, perfect hosts. The staff in the breakfast room were also very pleasant and efficient, we received our coffee pots and teapots very quickly when we were seated each morning. The breakfast bar itself provided a generous choice of hot and cold foods, it also had a very efficient toaster. Our large bedroom room had a great view of the promenade. Good water pressure in the shower.

Cold Showers for 4 days.

Location good, comfortable bed.

A faulty shower mixer meant that I couldn't have a warm shower. Over a 4-night stay this is unacceptable. I informed staff of the issue from the get-go but nothing was done about it. I wasn't offered an alternative room, an alternative room to grab a shower in, any form of apology or compensation. The duty manager said they tested the shower during the day whilst I was out and it was hot. So hot, in fact, that the housekeeper had to pull their hand away quickly... this is a bare-faced lie. I have asked them to come and check the shower temperature whilst I am in the room but my invitation hasn't been accepted. They are banking on it being 'my word again theirs' if I make any form of claim.
