Nice hotel , good location, just be prepared to walk up / down the hill

Cosy hotel in quiet location.

Clean, comfortable hotel with friendly staff. Great value for money with excellent breakfast included. Several good restaurants nearby (on Broadway) if you don't want to go into town in the evening. Also nice to have a drink in the bar and a chat with the barman, Roman.

Lovely quiet location on Hutchinson Square but it's quite an uphill climb from the prom!

Exploring the Isle of Man

Fabulous place, wonderful owners nothing too much trouble, as were the other staff members Nice quiet location set on hillside above Douglas with great views over the bay. Breakfast was very good and a excellent choice available. I ate most nights in their restaurant, food was very good and very well presented, highly recommend this property

Perfect stay in the Isle of Man

A traditional Manx seaside hotel, had everything we needed plus a nice bar and restaurant. We had a great view over Douglas bay from our room, a large comfy bed and a nice walk in shower. Scott was extremely helpful sorting our booking and Rumen and Dani provided fabulous breakfast and dinner each day. Our dogs were made so welcome and accompanied us in the evenings when eating in the restaurant at which point they received lovely treats from Rumen! It was very easy to walk to Douglas promenade, Frank Matchams and Bonzai at the Sefton less than 10 mins walk away and both worth a visit. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and will hopefully return in the future.

A lovely, welcoming guest house that was ideal for my short break

Nicely located in a quiet street away from the promenade and all the traffic. I had a nice room with decent ensuite facilities and enjoyed a good cooked breakfast each morning.

Well what can I say about Arrandale house except it was a superb stay! That week I had stayed in 3 different hotels and none came close to Arrandale. Firstly I had caught a super early morning ferry and was going to be stranded with my luggage until afternoon, however Arrandale couldn’t have been more kind and helpful and had set up my room ready for me the night before and allowed me a super early check in! Something I’ve never had from other hotels before, and this made such a bit impact to my travel and stay I was overjoyed! Secondly, the bed was soooo comfy! And the room had a sea view, you couldn’t beat it! They had lovely clean facilities and had everything you needed for a comfy stay on the Isle of Man, and what was even better they allowed my dog to stay too! Due to an early parkrun I didn’t sample the full breakfast as I got back quite late, however the staff didn’t mind this at all and still offered me some toast, yogurt and fruit when I got back, and even gave my pooch some sausages too! Again something that’s unheard of in most hotes, and something that was very welcomed after a hard parkrun! Lastly the evening meal was simply delicious! Very reasonably priced and very tasty, I would highly recommend eating in rather than out if you have the opportunity! So to conclude, Arrandale house got a 5/5 for me. I would definitely stay here again if I visit the island again, mainly for their hospitality, comfort, dog friendliness and willingness to go above and beyond! So Thankyou!

Pleasant place to stay.

Friendly welcoming staff, good choice and quality of breakfast, bar in the evening with snacks available. Clean room, plenty of room and good tea and coffee supplied.

The shower in the bathroom kept slipping down the pole couldn't get it to stay up. For us the mattress was quite hard, but that is personal choice. The location from the sea front was up quite a big hill again not the hotels fault.

Amazing place for an Isle of Man vacation!

What an absolutely amazing place! I had the most relaxing stay at the guesthouse, where I felt very welcome. Very friendly staff, very clean rooms and they're serviced daily. The furniture may be a bit dated but it is perfectly serviceable. Spacious room and bathroom, good views. But most of all - the best breakfast I've ever gotten with my accommodation. Very fresh, filling and cooked to order each morning.

It's a bit of a walk uphill from the promenade - maybe 5-8 minutes depending on your pace.

A good hotel in a quiet location about 20 minutes walk from Douglas town centre. Comfortable.

The bedroom was clean, comfortable and had a fantastic view of Douglas bay from the window. The breakfast was great - a good selection of cereals, juices etc and an extensive menu of cooked breakfasts which was served quickly and were excellent.

Only that it was up a hill from the seafront - but of course that provided the fabulous view.

Great location, relaxed hotel.

Location was brilliant, 5 minute walk from the seafront, at about mid point of the seafront, where the horse tram starts to take you to the electric train. Hotel was relaxed. Great value for money. Easy to park outside.

Uphill accommodation

Arrandale house Not that friendly on arrival Warning no rooms on the ground floor!!! Seating in the room includes one chair and one stool. No tissues. The toilet stopped working and the guy on site… Who actually works in the bar suggested we phone the manager- we didn’t think it was up to us to find the manager so we asked him to because at no point in staying in accommodation if you have no toilet, especially if you’re 68 year-old woman. The manager came and we changed rooms and actually got a better room. E nough room two beds, decent bathroom and linen. And individual toiletries. They have dinner available, which could be a good thing

Property up Steephill from town Nowhere in the room to put your bags. Bags were brought up to the first floor for us, which was very nice. We had two lovely chairs and a little fridge in it and a place for both bags

A very enjoyable stay made all the better by Scott & his team.

This was a nice mid-range hotel with a good breakfast and very helpful staff. They made our cycles secure which was important to us and made us a take away breakfast for our early departure.

Excellent weekend here , would stay again

Loved the friendliness of the staff and nothing was too much trouble . Great breakfast and we had a wonderful stay with Scott and the team, shower gel and soap provided - a shower shelf in the shower would be useful

Nothing- though do bear in mind there are stairs involved to the rooms and also it is slightly uphill from the shoreline to the hotel, if you have any mobility issues

Great holiday

Views from room were fabulous overlooking Douglas Bay. Breakfast was very good all quality ingredients also had the option of Manx breakfast kippers which were delicious. Small bar which we used . Evening meal available too which we had one night . Steak + ale pie + chilli all home made very tasty.
