Pleasant place in Douglas

Good contact with the staff. They were very flexible in terms of leaving the luggage prior to check-in and after the check-out. The room wasn't big, but sufficient for one person. After the breakfast I didn't feel like eating for quite some time. Overall good stay.

Exceptional island rooms

The island guesthouse is exceptional and clean. I enjoyed my staff there and the lady is lovely. If I have to go back, I can't hesitate to re-book the same accommodation.

As a solo traveler,I felt very safe there

The location is perfect as within walking distance to all down town events and shops.There was a good choice of foods for breakfast.Celine,the proprieter is very friendly and welcoming and provides is a good choice of foods for breakfast.Its a nice quiet house with lots of information available on places of interest for tourists at reception.The room was very comfortable and at kept at a comfortable temperature

Breakfast was nice, the room was comfy and clean, the people working there were really kind and helpful. Like staying with friends…but without having to help wash up 😊

Brilliant Stay

Great stay for the bike racing. Comfort and the breakfast 10/10 Celine was helpful with my questions. I hope to return next year (If I can get a room!!!)

Would gladly stay here again

Celine the host is fantastic. Very helpful, friendly & always available if you have any queries. Excellent location in a quiet area,not even 1 minute off the main promenade. Nice cooked breakfast in the morning. Bus & horse tramway stops are right at end of road,not even 1 minute walk.

Nothing to dislike,only a headboard for the bed would be nice. The Island and the Fairfield are actually 2 seperate buildings directly across from each other, so double check which one you're staying in before arrival to avoid confusion.

NICE BUDGET STAY

Enjoyed my stay here and also on the IOM, nicely situated centre promenade,i stayed in the single room no5 comfortable bed, and clean, with a small TV and bathroom ,small shower that worked fine , nice breakfast and friendly host ,all lived up to my expectations as a seasoned traveller,

It was a very small room and bathroom but like i say it was expected,and also think i that its time for some new better quality pillows,

Nice place , great hostess!

Celine was the most attentive and considerate host I’ve ever had…and I’ve travelled a lot! She stayed up late to welcome me and my bicycle. My bike was kept safe and accessible and I was given keys to leave early. Breakfast was great. The room was quite small but had spaces to keep my things tidy. Celine was also helpful with advise on exploring the island.

I should have booked another night. 😁

Lovely B&B in central location.

Room was perfect for a 1 night stop over in Douglas. Great location. Breakfast was excellent. Great choice of cereals, juices, coffee/tea and a full English. The owner Celine was charming and gave me some good bars as I was meeting friends for a 50th. Just didn't see any Manx cats...😊

Warm hospitality beyond expectations

The rooms meet the expectations of a 3-star standard, but the hospitality and attentiveness of the owners are truly 5-star. The breakfast was excellent.

The accommodation is cozy, but please note that access to upper floors is via narrow stairs with no elevator, which might be challenging for guests with limited mobility. The bed is on the softer side — a matter of personal preference.

This was a low cost choice and it suited our needs perfectly.

This place is 2 minutes downhill to the Promenade and beach, about a 15 minute stroll into the centre of Douglas for the many great pubs and restaurants. Very quiet location with limited parking on the street outside but there were spaces on the seafront. All parking we used on the Isle of Man was free but you do need a parking disc in the car, we got one free on the ferry over. The whole place felt very safe and friendly in the evenings. Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly with suggestions of places to visit. Breakfast: Good choice of cereals, fruit or a fry up. Plenty of juice or milk, tea and coffee. The full English breakfast was cooked just how I like it.

The ensuite bathroom was tiny.

Wonderful stay at the Isle of Man at a well run hotel

The Island is a very welcoming and comfortable hotel run by Celine, Antony and Reanne. Communications from Celine were very good. The rooms are spacious and very clean with very nice showers too! Breakfast is wonderful, with a range of cereals to a full cooked breakfast and even kippers. The breakfasts were a perfect and welcome start to a busy day at the Isle of Man.

Look no further

Went there to visit classic car event. The accommodation was in a good location and I could not fault anything. All I needed was there with friendly service and a good breakfast. Since breakfast begins at 7.30. I still got it before the morning flight back. I stayed in Room 2 at ' The Island ' and slept like a log. Unlike most places here this was only about fifty pounds per night. Why pay more? From Roger in Cumbria

Highly recommend for a little get away.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and the bed was comfortable. The highlight, I forgot my plug for my phone and luckily there was a USB cable nearby the plug socket.

I wasn’t a fan of the view but, nothing could have been done about that.

Wonderful hostess

Celine is wonderful. She could not have been more helpful, kind and efficient. The room was spotless.

Being an older house, the wall outlets are few and far between, which meant I could not plug in my laptop at the desk. There was a leaky drainpipe that dripped all night outside my window.
