Staff can’t do enough for you

Host was outstanding with us. Our ferry was delayed by over 3 hours and didn’t get in until 1am. She stayed up and welcomed us with no problems, and had breakfast ready first thing! Couldn’t do enough for us. You’ll be looked after here.

Dont ever stay here!

It was functional. On the whole the place was clean and tidy

No toilet paper the whole time there. The bathroom was not cleaned or serviced. The shower flooded and leak so it could not be used. The phone number on your sute to the owner does not work. There was no one to greet me on arrival. After messaging she called me. I got the ket ftom the jey lock. Then she put the phone diwn and I never heard ftom her again. No fresh milk for tea or coffee, just old UHT. The heating was not on. It was cold in the whole place. I want a refund as i had to strip wash and go elswhere to use a toilet. Worse place I have ever stayed!

Extremely disappointing

It was warm

No light bulb outside door so can't see to open door, and kettle not working. Owner didn't want to deal with it until the morning. Kettle never fixed. Only 2 sockets and not close to bed. Tiny tv (laptop size). Wifi password displayed but poor to zero connection. ¾ size bed in what I would call a single size room. No room to move around bed and Bathroom door couldn't close due to bed in the way. Waffer thin toilet paper which ran out after 2 days. No one checked my room for 3 days. So toilet paper, towel, coffee etc not replenished. Cobwebs!

Although well located, Sea Breeze offers a poor value for money stay with cramped facilities.

We chose Sea Breeze because of its location, which despite its lack of parking was good for our purposes. The housekeeper was friendly and helpful within the constraints of her role.

The whole building was cramped with steep stairs, poor sound insulation due to thin partition walls and a lack of good ventilation, especially in the en-suite shower. Our small double bed had an old and uncomfortable lumpy mattress. The choices for breakfast were extremely limited and the quality poor - far worse than other places that we have stayed in on the Island. Even for Douglas we felt that it was poor value for money, perhaps exacerbated by the housekeeper being held to a very tight budget.

Good location. Friendly staff. Clean (except under the bed, my bag came out with dust!). Bathroom spacious. Tea and coffee in room and offer to keep topped up. Room serviced daily. Comfy bed. Although small, the room was a perfect size for just me.

Room in attic and was warm as the fire door stopped a through flow of air. Fan in building across the back went all night and had to have the window open but soon acclimatised. Generally slept well. Walls are thin and could hear next door's TV. Shower kept running to a dribble before coming back. Two taps on sink, the hot tap ran exceedingly hot. No toiletries. Lights on stairs kept going out whilst going up and down and sometimes was in dark on the final flight. Breakfast was ok, but only had the cereal and toast. No cooked option. Did not try the cold plate. No assigned parking, gets busy with residents.

The mattress needs replacing in room 7 it is very hard and lumpy. The shower is very low pressure but hot after a while. Felt a bit unusual not self serving continental breakfast.

A hidden jewel jn the prom

Room was immaculate, was given fresh towels when needed. Nice and quite. Friendly cleaners. Was a nice break. Right by the sea front too.

Good location but bad breakfast and no staff in sight

Great location because it’s just behind the front row of buildings on the promenade in Douglas. So you’re close to buses, as well as the horse tram, the electric tram and the steam train. price wasn’t too bad

I only saw a member of staff once during my stay and that was in the hallway on my way out, she was nice though I would have appreciated more interaction throughout the stay. They email you a code for the keybox to let yourself in. On the website they describe themselves as having a good breakfast which is a bit of a joke. It’s continental which isn’t even the problem. The croissants were left in a bowl and weren’t fresh. The milk was the long life shelf stable kind not fresh. I didn’t bother having it the second morning and just ate up the town. I was on the top floor and water pressure in the shower was abysmal. At first it didn’t work so I called them and then I did get it working it was just still really weak and the temperature varied. When I rang them as well the person on the phone sounded as if she couldn’t wait to get me off the phone.

Sea Breeze is in an excellent location being just off the sea front.. Continental breakfast was more than enough for me.. Double en suite room was comfy.

Parking on the street is at a premium and may well be a problem if your driving...wasn't such a problem for myself as I went on my motorcycle..

Not the best place I have stayed

Central location off promenade. Easy access to Derby Castle and town. Very clean.

No tea/coffee maker as stated on booking.com - a kettle was provided which stopped working three days into my stay. Messaged number given, left request on booking.com message board - no reply. I spoke to the guy who appeared in the breakfast room each morning about it but no replacement kettle appeared! Light in lobby outside my room (1) not working- difficult to see keyhole Plug for sink had no rubber seal ring so drained as trying to use it. Minute TV - poor picture. Poor Wi-Fi signal Hot water for shower not always hot enough. For ‘toiletries’ read ‘tiny round soap bar’ Breakfast is just a 8:00 - 9:00 time slot. Provided items were cereals, yoghurt, orange juice, croissants, bread and fruit with tea/coffee. The same bread was in the bin all week and I found two slices with mould spots. The ham in the fridge was expiry-dated April 25th and was still there on my last day of May 4th. I did not attempt to eat it or the cheese ! Outside my room located at the back a fan/cooler ran up at 06:15 daily and went on/off constantly- luckily I had many early departures. The bed was very low (luckily not an issue for me) and I had about 300mm to get around the end of the bed and the wall.

Great stay. Good breakfast - cereals, bread, cheese, nice ham, yogurt, coffee tea etc. Nice clean rooms, decorated to a v good standard.

Cheap and cheerful but space for improvement.

The guest house was spotlessly clean and the bed comfortable. The location is close the middle of the promenade.

The breakfast offering was limited and the rooms and shower was very small. Items in the fridge were out of date and were still in there when we checked out a week later!

Pleasant, peaceful and practical.

The dining room was in a dark alcove, but once I 'saw the light', the fruit, cereal, toast and tea options were all very appetising.

I never saw any other guest and only spoke to Christine at the start and end of my stay; so I would have welcomed a little more sociability, even though the main purpose of my visit was to take part in the Manx Amateur Play Festival at the Gaiety theatre.

Lovely B'n'B, definitely recommended!

Nice little B'n'B close to Douglas beach. The bed was comfy and everything was lovely and clean. There was hand-sanitizer in dispensers which was a major plus as it's sadly missing in most public buildings these days. It was very much a self-serve affair. There was a key in a lock box with which I let myself in. Instructions were sent via a booking.com message as to where everything was. Breakfast was also self-serve - continental with a decent selection of things to eat and drink. The one member of staff I met (she came to service my room) was friendly and helpful. I'd definitely recommend Sea Breeze and would love to stay here again.

Parking is a problem. A couple of times I managed to park in the street, but most of the time I had to park a couple of streets away. You'll need to get a parking disc (free from the ferry terminal) to park pretty much anywhere in Douglas. My towel had a hole in the middle, although this was immediately replaced when I brought it to the attention of room service.

Great location close to all you need trams buses beautiful to walk on the promenard 10 mins from ferry port.fantastic breakfast available i didnt eat but plenty of variety had tea and juice and a lovely chat with Lindsey she takes care of the guest very friendly Will defo stay again

Great property and location, wonderful host.

Delia is a fabulous host - friendly, welcoming, interested in guests wellbeing and flexible with any specific needs. Great communication, she messaged me to ask about breakfast preferences several days before I arrived and was totally fine with my request to check in early and check out late to fit with my flight times. She left the breakfast room open for me at dinnertime because as a solo traveller I might not want to eat alone in restaurants every night. This was her idea, much appreciated, and also helped with my budget for the trip. The facilities were superclean, warm, well furnished and the position of this property is fantastic for the seafront promenade, Manx Museum, and bus stops for going anywhere on the island. Absolutely great value for money and I would definitely return.
