Exceeded my Expectations

Lovely welcoming and friendly host who couldn't do enough for you. Breakfast choice was excellent. Cooked breakfast came to order by the host in a pleasant dining room where you could talk to fellow guest. Had a double bed when I expected a single which was a bonus. Room had tea/coffee facilities. Could leave my baggage securely after check out until the time I needed to depart with a means of getting back in later that day.

The location is a bit of a climb to get to from the promenade, but I was partially aware of that on booking and that probably reflects in the price. Fortunately, I'm fit and healthy for my age so it wasn't an issue and the location was perfect for myself in terms of where my friends in another hotel were staying and the proximity to the centre of town.

Comfortable, friendly everything we needed

Eric was friendly, helpful and kind. The room was a good size, clean and came with everything we needed. The breakfast was lovely and the value for money was excellent. We will hopefully manage to get back to the isle of man and we will look no further than the Adelphi guest house for a place to stay.

4 nights on Broadway Douglas

Great hosts very welcoming lovely breakfasts with pots of coffee or tea. They even let us leave our bags there a little longer after checkout. Nice en suite rooms plenty of storage and a TV too. Would recommend.

Only a minor quibble is the hotel is up a steepish road which was a bit tiring for my older friend but its in a great location the villa marina is at the bottom of the road.

A comfortable clean room, friendly hosts who were very accommodating, and great options for breakfast. The guest house was everything we required for our short break away from home, and even my two children felt welcome.

The windows on my room need maintenance. They were hard to open or a bit loose. Wardrobe was a bit bendy. TV did not work.

Our room was number 6. It was clean and comfortable, although like many of the guest houses in Douglas, a little on the small side especially the bathroom. However we all slept well and had hot showers the next day, so all good. The breakfast was very nice and the hosts were lovely.

As mentioned above, the room was on the small side but this is the same as most guest houses on the street.

Well priced hotel with a spacious room and good breakfast, both cereals and juice help yourself and freshly cooked main, easy to check in and check out, friendly staff.

Location was excellent up a hill from the central promenade and close to the bus stops.Eric and Ruby cooked a fresh full breakfast and also provided Gluten Free options.

The shower head was hard to adjust.

quiet and a good nights sleep!

the best nights sleep i had in the isle of mann,the adelphi is in a quiet residential area,and i could barely hear the other guests.Room had wide opening windows (godsend) and was spotlessly clean,i have a pretty bad dust allergy and i had zero problems,the owners are lovely too.

breakfast is a little small,and the rooms are a bit dated decor wise,but would definitely stay here again rather than one of the hotels on the main strip.
