A winter weekend - the weather was cold but the welcome very warm !

Overall a very good stay. I picked the Hydro because of the booking ratings. welcome was excellent and Robert could not have been more accommodating. The Hydro is not a new hotel, and has that ‘well worn’ image. I have no problem with that - Robert’s recommendation for food at the Mexican restaurant in the basement was again - spot on. I had breakfast which was excellent - and very much up to the mark. It was well cooked and piping hot. Great coffee and top service. I”d happily stay again

This Hotel met all our needs and the staff are extremely friendly and nothing is too much for them.

Breakfast was great could use better sausages. Excellent choice of full breakfast ,kippers fresh fruit cereal and yogourts fruit juice ,tea and coffea. Great service from very attentive friendly staff. Went out of there way for our dog. Great internal lift doesnt go to all floors but was great for us.They do have a Mexican eatary in the basement of the Hotel sadly didnt get chance to use it but locals do say how nice it is.

Cant say i didnt like anything just that the decor is tired could do with freshing up. Could do with more information about the parking prior to arrival and access to a parking disc that you must have and display wherever you park.

Lovely hotel.

The rooms were comfortable, the showers hot, the breakfast was great, and it was over the road from a beautiful beach. What more could you ask for?

The carpet on the first floor could possibly induce an epileptic fit, and would definitely overwhelm people on the spectrum

The room was cold I had to sleep in my clothes, the room wasn't that clean - next day bedding was just thrown on the floor outside my room on the following morning. staff at breakfast were very unfriendly and the breakfast wasn't very good

Very pleasant stay. We were in the IOM for a family wedding and The Hydro was very convenient. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Room was a little 'compact' but was clean and comfortable, bathroom excellent, great breakfast. All you could ask for, wouldn't hesitate to go here again! Many thanks.

Family stay in douglas

Perfect location, great family room fit 2 adults and 2 kids in perfectly. Views out of the windiest are fantastic overlooking the bay! Breakfast was help yourself buffet with served tea, coffee and home made porridge if the kids wanted it. Hotel manager informative of places to visit and staff were friendly!

The room had a slight funky smell to it, was clean and tidy but smelt a bit dated like a nursing home maybe. No other complaints.

Solo travelling with family

Perfect location, great room for myself. Breakfast was help yourself buffet with served tea, coffee. Hotel manager informative of places to visit and staff were friendly! Hotel bar has a great selection of beers and they were chatty when you were sat in the bar.

Not really anything to report. Yes, its an older fashioned hotel inside and a bit dated decor and furniture wise, however your stay is very comfortable at the Hydro Hotel. Does the job perfectly for a short trip for business or leisure.

Beautiful old building. Very warm and clean. Friendly, polite, helpful staff. Very comfortable beds.

I booked a sea view room. Apparently you can't book a sea view room through Booking.com, even though Booking.com say you can. Hotel a bit tired, but would cost an absolute fortune to redecorate. The breakfast is advertised as 'expectional', it isn't. It's ok, bordering on good.

Lovely welcome from receptionist. Lovely clean sea front room with wonderful views. Bus stop just over the road to the bus station where you can catch a bus all over the Island. One of the best buffet breakfast we have ever had.
