It was ok but a lot could be improved.

Good location, spacious lounge/bar/reception area; plenty of parking spaces.

Room was quite basic and cold. We had breakfast included but when we went for breakfast there was hardly any tables available, most of the food had gone/was limited, no cutlery nor mugs; so we ended up just having a slice of toast and spreading the jam with the end of a spoon!

Bed uncomfortable and the food in restaurant was very poor one meal had to go back as it was so bad you couldn't get a knife through the chicken. Also at breakfast time constantly running out of food as it looked like only one member of staff on duty out in restaurant area

Bedroom was lovely, comfortable, cosy but no water to the shower.

Spotless clean. Well located for Resorts Arena. Staff were lovely, especially Naz on reception who welcomed us in the evening.

Problems with water to the shower. Breakfast was nice quality and well presented when it came out from the kitchen, but there were delays waiting for sausages then for bacon, then for pancake mix. This could be improved upon by the kitchen team.

We were only there over night, after the initial problems were fixed the stay was okay.

The location of the hotel to venue was really good. The staff were very informative and helped with any problems we had. Also we were allocated a room on the ground floor which was idea as we were travelling with a young child.

The room windows were left open so the room was absolutely freezing. The heating in the room didn’t work and was just blowing out cold air and then would turn off, even after the staff came to check. We were given alternative heating, whisked helped. There was limited food on the menu to order as they didn’t have a chef while we were there.

The hotel and location were fine, but very disappointed that we've not have our promise refund.

It was close to the NEC

We left some wrist bands and parking vouchers to pick up the following day. My son came to pick the up and they couldn't get them out of the faulty safe. Staff were quite unhelpful! So we had to pay again (£94) After complaining to the manager he said the least he could do was to reimburse us. The manager stopped responding to my emails. It's been almost 2 months and we not been refunded.

The Younger Gentleman serving at the Bar was very helpful and friendly . Also the Night Manager was Great

No phone in the room. Tiles in Bathroom looked dirty . Cold rooms difficult to adjust heating and noisy . No shuttle bus although advertised. Apparently business has asked several times for this misleading information tbe corrected Not close to the Aiport as lead to believe . Had to take Taxis . Food took forever to get to us . Bar was not adequately staffed or stocked

One of the rooms windows was not sealed properly so let in a continuous cold breeze. Lucky one of the party loves a cold room so they took that one. My room was mostly fine but there was pubes on the bathroom floor and long black hairs in the bed (definitely not my hair)

Very happy that due to a hidden disability they accommodated to my needs as soon as i put the request in. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Loved that the bar and snack area was open until around 2am as we had come back late from an event. Only thing that let the stay down was the breakfast. It was pretty basic and no other meat options that pork for the sausages. However i was informed that this is normal with 'Express' versions of Holiday Inn as i have stayed in normal ones and had a great breakfast

That we had to ask for another towel at 3am as there was only one towel in the room.

Great location, reasonable price

Location was great, facilities were clean

Where to start! Rooms were at best snug. Okay for two but far to small for three. We had three rooms. In one of the rooms the telephone didnt work, not usually a problem byt the heating/ac also didnt work. We were supplied with a heater that was dangerous. The plug to the heater go so hot that it burnt my son in laws fingers when he tried to unplug it! Had this unit caught fire (yes it was that hot!) as the phone didnt work raising the alrm would have been delayed. This issue was brought to the attention of reception staff immediately and we moved rooms. Booking in was good. Ordering drinks in the evening was at best slow with a number of people just giving up. The food we ordered was okay but on the first night it took over an hour to arrive! Not overly good value for money. The only diffence between the childs cheeseburger and the adults was the addition of two jash browns to the burger! Come on. I could go on but I think that gives you a feel for what our stay was like.

Everything was spot on, check in was easy and quick, room was nice and well equipped. We are in the restaurant and food was tasty and didn’t have to wait long, breakfast was hot, tasty and everything we needed.

Very convenient for staying over after a late flight into Birmingham airport. 3 minute drive from terminal

24 hour front desk and onsite parking were the main reasons we chose this Hotel. We arrived back into Birmingham airport after midnight and stayed here instead of driving home.

Comfortable, good food and value for money.

Breakfast was great as was the room and staff. The location was ideal for the purpose of our visit and the availability of food and choice of an evening was ideal and well priced. I have used Holiday Inn previously in England and Scotland and I always check for vacancies at Holiday Inn wherever I go in the UK because they are always comfortable and I get a good nights sleep.

This was the first Holiday Inn I have visited that I have had to pay for parking but if I had stayed at the one in Oldbury which I have used previously I would have had to pay more for a taxi or drive myself so car park payment is not a deal breaker for me.
