We had room 567 which was brilliant with the separate lounge. Bed was really comfy. The evening meal we had was fantastic. Nachos, garlic bread, burgers and hanging kebabs. The Manager came over for a chat which was a really good personal touch. The Bar Manager was very friendly too

We really enjoyed our 2 night stay and the swimming pool was an amazing bonus for my girls! Easy to get to, great location, rooms and facilities were great. The coffee machine in the room is amazing!

Very good for the price point. Clean recently refurbed room, nice pool and gym, decent breakfast.

Temp control in the room was too wide, oscillated between too hot and too cool. Duvets are ridiculously heavy. Both of us sweated through the night with disturbed sleep. Just because some guests moan they are cold doesn't mean you have to subject everyone to a 15-18 TOG duvet without any options.

The fact they had specific areas for special events and just general chill time

Booking.com indicated free parking. It was not free. Carpets in corridor dirty. Plates in corridor was there when we arrived and still there by the time we left.

Great stay. Easy to find. Staff were helpful. Room was spacious and clean. A bit tired and scruffy maybe but understand they are having a refurb at the moment

Staff were excellent.

Could not park at hotel due to three day (over weekend) dance competition at the hotel. We are 70 years old and had to carry out luggage from the NPC car park nearby. The hotel was exceptionally noisy due to children running around the restaurant, bar, lobby areas in rap shoes. The bar was packed so we could not sit and relax with a drink after a long journey.

The hotel is tired. The hallway carpets stained and worn. The bathroom with broken fittings. The food ordering system akin to a motorway cafe and the quality similar. The car parking area massively under sized.

The location is good for the NEC . I did not have breakfast. The choice of lighting in the bathroom is a nice touch as I am very light sensitive and the colours were very soothing. The bar and lounge area is a good size and the bar staff were very helpful and friendly. The shuttle bus to and from the NEC is very good and the driver is very efficient and helpful.

I think the rate of the room was very high for a November booking and for that kind of money I would expect at least some bicuits or a small snack on the drinks tray. I have stayed at hotels with less stars and much lower rates than the holiday inns and there has always been small snacks or bicuits provided.

Lovely and clean, great facilities. The staff were an absolute credit! The restaurant staff in particular, they were exceptionally attentive and made sure we were given the discounts we were entitled to having children in our party. The food was also excellent, both breakfast and the evening meal!

The noise levels, this was no fault of the hotel staff though, it was other guests allowing their children to run around and scream until after midnight, I believe the staff did intervene on the second evening but were met with hostility. There was also a party held in one of the conference rooms on the second evening and the music was quite loud in the room, however we were needing an early night for an early morning start so this absolutely couldn’t be helped and it didn’t actually go on too late. On a side note also the websites information about where to get the shuttle from was different from the notice board in the hotel. It was not clear on the website that we needed to get on the monorail at the airport and meet the shuttle outside the NEC and having never been to Birmingham or traveled through the area we had no idea where everything was. It was horrendous weather and after calling the drivers number, who I could not hear clearly, we ended up having to pay for a taxi to bring us to the hotel. So it was a rather chaotic start

Breakfast was good and I enjoyed it

I had a terrible nights sleep. I mattress on the bed felt worn and very uncomfortable as did the pillows. The neighbours next door was making noise all night and I woke up in the morning feeling like I had the worst nights sleep ever. When I went down to the front desk I felt like I was snubbed off

Location, staff were friendly and welcoming. Excellent facilities and location. Excellent value for money. Breakfast was exceptional. Swimming pool added bonus. Shuttle bus was a great addition to take us to amd from NEC car parking at £12 for 24hrs was good value.

No water in the room only cups for tea. I was drinking water from the toilet and asked at the reception for water they asked me to come down to take by myself. What type of service is that.I didn't receive my refund which they take on arrival 5 pounds

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast and dinner were very nice with plenty of chose. The room was clean and tidy with everything you would need during your stay. The kids even got a voucher for a treat whilst booking in. Kids eat for free with an adult meal at the hotel which was nice, and saved a fair amount of money on the dinner.

The sofa bed for the kids was uncomfortable, but the kids managed to sleep ok. The dinner service was a bit slow. At night I was kept awake by a few kids running up and down the corridor until midnight. To be fair to the hotel staff I didnt mention this at the time and as I reached the point when I was going to say something (midnight), the kids stopped. Although I was aware of the £12 parking charge, I was surprised that the hotel charges to park in their own car park.

I liked it all. Bed great and comfy and air conditioning worked well. Breakfast was great and there was an extensive choice with something to suit everyone

The food was nice. But the place i feel it needs a lift very run down and unclean . I was discussed with the sofa bed that was made up with unclean sheets. I got them changed , and I still felt very unsatisfied with my room....

Mouldy food in the fridge, clearly been there weeks. Noisy, busy parking, over sold. Dirty, scruffy staff, appearance, not the people. Un organised, badly managed. Food left in hallways for hours. Just scruffy and horrible. Won't stay again.

Bright ,cheerful lovely atmosphere , excellent value for money , clean comfortable.
