Carpets in need of upgrade

The room was clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again. The airport shuttle was a big positive. I didn’t have breakfast as I had an early flight.

Lovely staff members

The first room I was given 103 had stains on the bedsheets white stains, don’t even want to know where that is from. The second room I was given 226 the toilet flush was broken and the blue light in the bathroom kept flickering. Was very disappointed. The breakfast was great anlso on till 11am, and also loved the fact you have blind out curtains. The bed was comfortable enough

The room stunk of sewage

Went to the nec .11 mins away. clean rooms friendly staff .had a good dinner with a few drinks. Breakfast was good with alot to choose from and it was fresh 😋. I would stay at this hotel again if i visited Birmingham.

Staff very helpful Restaurant good

Not the best experience. The receptionist challenged me regarding the money I paid for my booking using my gold Expedia points, to which a colleague interfered on her own language that I couldn’t understand, and her attitude changed automatically. My premium room had a windows to a wall! Dinner requested and two hours later nothing. Other than being overcharged ( as a gesture of good will I was given two beers that were lefty in the fridge ), got ill overnight with suspected food poisonous. So, not the best experience I ever had therefore my poor review.

OK, so I booked the wrong location. This hotel was fine. The shuttle service for the airport was poor. We had mobility issues, were dropped off at airrail station, lift out of service, had to get 4 bags up an escalator. Then off to a long walk to check-in. Won't do this again

Its a 7-8 min ride in a taxi to the airport, pretty standard Holiday Inn experience, reliably consistent, not amazing but not awful either.

Amazing stay. We had the best time, and the pool was a perfect edition to our stay. The atnosphere was lovely and staff are so friendly. The best hotel.

We loved the use of the indoor pool which was warm and clean. Sauna and hot tub were great as well. Breakfast had a good selection and the room was tidy with a comfy bed. Perfect place that’s affordable and close to the airport and birmingham.

Exceeded all expectations. We were welcome to a free glass of wine and snacks (not sure what the occasion was - but was very welcome). Check in was busy and we were greeted with an apology. Family suite was spacious and the in room facilities good (tea, coffee, Nespresso and chocolate for the child). Buffet breakfast (with alternative/additional items freshly made) had a good variety. Swimming pool and leisure facilities included in the price.

There was no fridge in the room. Too small bathroom, bed was not comfortable and the pillow was hard. I wouldn’t stay there again.

This was a shocking hotel when we arrived we went to one room and it had no electricity or Air conditioning we then got moved to another room and the same problem no A/c Went to the third room that was ok apart from no telephone and in the bin in the bathroom there was a sanitary towel.... At 12 we ordered room service and waited till 1.30 AM and went down stairs to counselled it as was tired i have photos of how disgusting this hotel is .

There was nothing I didn't like about my stay. The hotel has been extended since I held a conference there about 30 years ago. It has a very recent new wing. It's very open and laid back, and the bedrooms are pretty much perfect. Scrupulously clean. The kitchen was always busy serving a great range of quality food at decent prices and breakfast was awesome. On top of that the staff, from reception, to the bar star, the driver of the shuttle bus to the airport, the cleaners, the chefs and dining room staff, were superb. Nothing was too much to ask. I'm not a very demanding customer. I suppose I have a standard - but 'm not pushy at all. I respect the staff. The staff here are highly motivated, highly efficient and actually seemed to enjoy their work. A massive credit to the hotel.

Good if your flying out but a bit noisy, . Typical of airport hotels

Walked in late and left early.

Frustrating stay - the hotel itself was very nice and the room was well equipped, modern and clean. However, it’s marketed as an ‘airport hotel’ - aka a place people book to stay when they have an early flight. We booked as we needed to be up at 2am, however, there was a very, very loud party on until after midnight. I don’t complain and I dont exaggerate, it felt like being on the Ayia Napa strip. There wasn’t any communication from the hotel about the party, if there was we would have moved to an alternative location as we got about 1.5 hours of sleep before a long day of travel.

The rooms are good, shower is nice everything is clean. The only issue was the dinner service. It was busy so i understand delays. We waited 40 minutes for food and the quality compared to price didn’t add up. I dont think they had enough staff running food so a lot of it was sat under the hot lamps
