An enjoyable stay as usual.

We have stayed at this hotel a few times. Nigel as always was really friendly and is brilliant at recommending nearby eateries. The hotel is very close to the NEC. The breakfast is always good.

Although the hotel is very near the airport, it is nice and quiet. The en-suite shower is extremely small and a little claustrophobic. We have stayed in other rooms and they are a bit roomier.

This is really a perfect alternative to the corporates, literally across the road. Its a cracking location, run by Nigel and his fabulous team. Its spotless, comfortable, breakfast is superb and great value for money.

Great value hotel within easy access of the NEC and airport

We stayed at the Tri-Star hotel, whilst attending a trade show at the NEC. The location was perfect (only a 5 min drive to the NEC) We had parking booked for the NEC, but understand there is a shuttle bus you can take from the hotel as well. Nigel the owner was extremely helpful, suggesting places for dinner and ways to make our stay more effective. Breakfast was cooked fresh to order and was delicious The hotel is very close to the airport (you can see the planes on the runway from the bedroom window), however you could hardly hear any noise as the window was very well sound proofed. Would recommend this hotel as a great base for airport, NEC or even visiting Birmingham city centre - we would stay again!

Breakfast was great, really good service by all the staff. Ideally located by the airport and just off the main road.

A great little find!

A comfortable night's stay in this small family-run hotel with tea/coffee facilities, and onsite bar and restaurant. Owner Nigel welcomed us and booked our early morning taxi to airport. Price includes breakfast but we had to leave b4 service began. Nigel offered cold options but we declined. He later served us a delicious evening meal cooked by lovely Jane of zingy, fresh prawn cocktail with lots of large prawns, and surloin steak; husband had tomato soup and an omelette. Mains came with the best chips we've ever had, and Nigel sources his meat from a local butcher. We had rm no.6 just off dining rm but very quiet and private. You couldn't wish to meet nicer, friendlier people, and we will definitely stay again when using BHX.

We thought hotel was walking distance to/from airport but it's a 10-min bus or taxi ride away. Taxi from was £16 (we did a Jet2 Twilight check-in), and taxi to was £12.50. As others hv said, shower area is small and electric so not much hot water!

The location was good for visiting Solihull and the NEC. Tv was good in the room with very good sound and picture. Nigel the host very friendly and informative. He makes the place good!

Shower a bit small. I prefer a bath. Could have nicer colour walls in the room. Was a bit like the inside of a fridge.. Cold water tap was a bit awkward...

There is nothing we didn't like. Planes went over, and we were close to the airport, but we didn't hear them. Extra double glazing. Fascinating to watch.

Fantastic location for drivers looking for a hotel near the NEC without paying for $$$$ parking!

Nigel was very welcoming and gave us a lot of helpful inside tips on navigating the way to the NEC for our conference. We saved a lot of money on parking because the Tri-star is right next to the bus-stop which takes 2 stops to get to the NEC for the conference. The bus also takes VISA which makes it super-easy to go to the convention centre and back to Tri-Star. They provide a full English breakfast, toast or eggs done in different ways as part of our stay and the beds were very comfortable. They had a nice pool table (which we didn't use unfortunately) and there were plenty of places to sit to lounge around and dining areas for guest. They also had a nice little bar but we were a bit too caught up to use it!

It is next to the airport cargo area and although the place was very well insulated there was a bit of beeping noise from moving heavy vehicles. The other issue is that the wifi is a bit slow so it took time to download stuff and it was a bit hard for zoom/Teams meetings because of bandwidth. Having said that, these were not showstoppers for us. Still a really great stay!

A nice welcome from Nigel. Good service. We had an evening meal and it was very nice, well cooked and there was a good choice of options. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. We stayed prior to catching a plane to Italy. Great location for the airport, which is really close.

A very quiet, restful night in a hotel that felt more like a home.

The location was good with close access to the airport. The staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly. The meals were very good and home-made. The breakfast was hearty with a lot of variety. The room was very clean and had everything I needed.

The bathroom was a little cramped. Other than that, I have no complaints whatsoever.

The staff were absolutely amazing, make sure you feel right at home 😄 There is a bus stop right next to the hotel so its easy to get around using public transportation

maybe the mattress in the single bed needs an upgrade or a flip
