Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel

We liked the great location, the very nice room, and the friendly staff. The breakfast was exceptional with a huge amount of choice to suit all diets and preferences, including hot and cold options, continental items, and cooked food. We were also allowed to check in early due to high demand, which was appreciated.

We didn’t like the car park charges. The room was already very expensive, and adding another £20 per night for parking felt unreasonable, especially when we could have moved the car to the NEC and parked for free.

The price was extremely expensive for what it was then having to pay a further £70 odd for parking and breakfast and the breakfast wasn't that great either. The ques at the bar on the Friday evening due to having lots of reform in the building wasn't great purely because both sides of the bar wasn't open and then the reform party kept pushing in it was just chaos and could have been more organised. On the Saturday evening I was also verbally abused by another guest in the hotel as she'd had too much to drink this left me very upset so we left first thing Saturday morning rather than using breakfast facilities and so on. We was above a smoking area so sleep wasn't 100% as it was loud but is what it is.

The work and inconvenience id paid more to stay to use the swimming pool but it was undergoing work so that was disappointing
