Heating not working.

We have stayed at this hotel for the last 3 years as my granddaughter sang with the schools for young Voices.

When we were in our room there was no heating in the radiators. We tried turning the nobs but no joy.we went to the main desk and they sent a man but he then realized that it wasn't possible to turn the heat on.He offered us to change rooms we had put the extra oil filled heater on it started to warm the room the young man informed us that their heating fella would be coming to the hotel at 5.30 pm So we said we were going out for the evening but once the heating engineer had come the room would be warm when we got back at 10 pm.Nobody had been in and there were no messages to say otherwise .once in bed there was a lipstick stain on the duvet cover it looks like the laundry service had not got the stain out. Heating.

Another wonderful stay at The Arden! Always my first choice when in Birmingham!

As usual, my stay at The Arden was fantastic. Friendly staff, very comfortable bed, spacious room and large tv are just standard here! Large and clean bathroom. Additionally - the staff went above and beyond during this stay. I queried where I could get one of the pillows from the room for myself, as I suffer from sleep issues and found the pillow specifically to help me sleep better. They provided me with a free pillow for myself! They didn’t have to do this, but it’s things like that which show a desire to make sure their guests have the best stay possible.

Good value for money

The hotel is super closed to the NEC, literally 5-10 minutes walking and it was nice value for money. We particularly appreciate the fact that hotel residents have access to gym, pool and sauna. The room was standard, big enough for 2 people.

The facility is a bit outdated and would need a revamp. A little more attention to the details too, like the shower/bath tub was very slippery when exiting or it was the type of infinity shower and no shower cap was provided. Hairdryer very outdated. Not a big deal tho, we would rebook it if again in Birmingham.

Good place to stay for a short break

The breakfast had a good variation of foods available. The pool and spa were very relaxing. The food in the bar and restaurant were really good.

There was only USB ports by the bed which was a problem for me as I need to use a CPAP machine at night which needs plugging in next to the bed, however this was quickly resolved by reception who were able to lend me an extension lead. It`s not easy to find the hotel using the sat nav which is mentioned on the website but for people not local to the area and with the current roadworks it did cause problems.

Good hotel for a weekend away.

This is a great value hotel. We had nothing bad to say about it, only because they gave us nothing! The room was good and warm, comfortable and even though it was at the side of a busy road and near the Airport not noisy. We went in the bar and I found a good range of drinks and at reasonable prices. The bar food looked good, we didn’t eat there. We tried out the gym and spa, which was great. Came out feeling good, it’s near the international station and NEC and a shopping and leisure complex, cinema, bowling and food plus loads more. So yes really enjoyed our time there. Plus free parking.

Fabulous again! There is a group of us that stay together here every year as part of our visit to the Bike Show at the NEC. Louise on reception stood out this trip as did the lady looking after us for tea & coffee at breakfast. Sadly I can’t remember her name but she is from up around Wigan and worked at the Arden some years ago before leaving & then coming back again. Hope this is enough info to be able to know who it is & pass on our thanks. See you all next year.

Great location for events at NEC

Very clean and comfortable, as others have said decor is dated but didn’t affect my stay. Bed was comfortable. Close walking distance to NEC and resort world for restaurants. Spa area was great addition

Paid for breakfast on our last morning. It was quiet so food was cooked fresh, however it wasn’t the best, very greasy and cheap items on the cooked breakfast that I left most of it. Continental side of the breakfast was much better and stuck to that over the cooked breakfast. Wasn’t worth £14

Great location and value for money if you want the NEC or Airport.

spotlessly clean and very good value given location and cost of other hotels in the area. Was quite dated in styling, but didn't look shabby at all and is clearly very well looked after. Also they don't charge for car parking which so many hotels now do.

overall updating in style and decor would be a nice to have, but that's not to say it detracted from the stay. Showerhead also needed an update as was like 1980's school shower...

I love that the location of the hotel is close to the train station, airport and results world is only a 10min walk. central to most places. the staff were very helpful and friendly answering any questions we had. they provided map's to places we needed to go.the rooms were lovely and cosy the beds were very comfortable and I love that there was a bath and shower 🚿 and most of all the pool and gym are open early and close late
