McCabe Thailand Adventure

This place is heavenly 😍 we had a deluxe double facing the beach. Room was great and very comfortable. The island is quiet and reminds me of what Thailand was like 30 years ago 😳

My husband and son wanted to experience a more open stay do booked the older huts by the pond. You need to not ge too fussed about possible creature visits and the sounds of the insects.

Did not live upto my expectations

The actual location is nice and peaceful but oh boy was I disappointed with the rest

I didn't like anything else. It was firstly non air con ( which I admit was my fault for not checking) but God in the heat of December it was awful. I couldn't sleep for the 2 nights I was there. Good thing I only booked for two nights. All other places were full otherwise I wanted to cancel and go somewhere else. Also they did false advertising by showing the beach photo, you cannot even swim at this beach. Like where was that mentioned in the booking? YOU CANT SWIM AT THE BEACH RIGHT ON THE BOTEL STEPS. How disappointing. Another thing is everything is sooooooo far away from this place. The closest beach you can actually enjoy at is atleast and hour away. Even by bike like what is the use of that. Not everyone rides bike and if you don't be ready to pay around 1200 for taxi pp. I should have booked on the other side of the island. This place was a real disappointment

We knew it was going to be basic when we booked it and it was. But it was very clean and comfortable and we loved experiencing a new kind of accommodation. The location was good and the free breakfast was great. The staff were very friendly and the little balcony outside the room was cute and it was such a quiet and peaceful location

There were no paths in between the bungalows so it was very muddy and the wifi was a bit slow.

Good value for money. Friendly staff, good location. In the morning you can take long walks on the beach (I walked to Laem Haad beach). Huge lizards living in the bush next to the bungalows. :)

The beach is not that inviting for swimming (of course this is a matter of taste).

brilliant!!

The property was a cute stay for a few nights. the couple who run it were lovely and accommodating. rooms were cleaned. breakfast was included and was good value for money and there was a wide variety of food to choose from. overall it was great😀

the only downside to the property was the location, there isn’t much to do around unless you get a scooter. also the beach isn’t swimmable as the tide is out most of the day.

Very modern bungalow directly on the beach, lovely views. Very peaceful! Very helpful and friendly staff. The location is quiet however few restaurants in walking distance. You can rent scooters from the accommodation.

Get the deluxe cabin you won’t regret it.

The deluxe cabins are amazing. Seriously they are so nice and so spacious. We couldn’t believe it for the price. The owners are also so nice and accommodating. It is a great location for exploring the island and being near some things. You can also rent a bike directly from them. Great sea shell hunting. Very relaxing.

It’s really hot and this isn’t the best beach for getting in the water. However you can and if you rent a motor bike you can easily get to the west shore beaches. Also if you plan to do excursions/rent boats you are really close to the pier.

just super! just what we needed!

we stayed in the deluxe room, which was AMAZING! super clean, the bathroom and shower facilities were fab! the view and the balcony was amazing. we had the whole resort to ourselves. no one was around. the kayaks were great fun to use and all free. cheap moped hire too, which i recommend doing as you can’t get around the island without one. the staff were super sweet, family run business. Breakfast was SUPER! just all round great! so much nicer than the pics

Cute little bamboo hut. Be prepared for some critters and bugs to end up in your hut- it's an embracing nature type of experience. The net protected us at night Note the bathroom was not enclosed but it was still private. An interesting experience but don't recommend unless you're wanting to embrace nature. Fan only- but we were cool enough to sleep. Staff and breakfast both great.

Relaxing Stay at the Beach!

We absolutely loved staying at Koh Yao Beach Front! Our clean and comfortable bamboo bungalow was right in front of the beach which made catching the sunrise very easy. The staff were so lovely and always willing to help. The breakfast buffet was delicious with many options including: eggs (cooked to order), sausages, ham, a Thai noodle dish, vegetables, fruit (watermelon, pineapple), pancakes, cereal with milk, toast (with butter, jam, honey), water, juice, tea and coffee. Beach Front also provides kayaks for free which was great! We absolutely recommend staying here, we definitely will next time we visit Koh Yao Yai!

Everything was perfect! big and comfortable bungalow front to sea. Cosy seashore with many places to sit and relax. Kayaking for free. Good breakfast. Very friendly hosts ready to help with all questions. We liked the place a lot!

The only minus is low tide of sea starting from 4pm. But this is not about the property.

Go for it!!!

As the name suggests the view is great overlooking the bay. You can spend the time in many common spots (hammocks, lounge chairs, tables on the beach front). Breakfast is plentiful, you can choose between continental and Thai options, great real coffee from the machine maker. Free kayaks. The owners very helpful and accommodating (organised transfer to another hotel). If you choose bungalows then be prepared for an authentic experience when your place is open for any kind of fauna😂mainly geckos (it is good the beds have good mosquito nets). Ear plugs are necessary to have an undisturbed sleep.

Expensive scooters - 300 bahts, we rented many around the island and it was 200-250

Pleasant

The bungalows are pretty cute with an authentic feel. Hosts are very kind The keep the bungalows clean Breakfast is nice, but be there in time otherwise it will be cold.

The bungalow are aren't completely closed off from the outside so I had a rat climb in at night because I had food in the bungalow. After that I hung my food up like I would while camping. No more problems after that. Also not a big fan of the outdoors bathroom, just makes it a bit uncomfortable going to the toilet at night.

Best stay in thailand

This was the best stay we Had in Thailand. The owners are so lovely and friendly. I Had an accident with my Leg before so i couldnt Walk. We ask If the knew someone who can Drive us around the Island. The owners did it by themselve for a really good price. We went to places we wouldnt Go If we did it by us. Thank you that we Had the Chance to be your guest. The Bungalows are so nice and cute. Like living in Nature. We are glad we Had this expierience!

There is no beach inspite of the name. Low tide most of the day so no swimming. Bamboo huts very basic. Fun for a day or two but no longer.

Absolutely Lovely place!!!

Amazing place! The staff is super kind! Loved the fact that we could rent scooters with them (which is definitely something you need to go around the island). They done everything beautiful, it is very well kept, the gardens are gorgeous. Loved it, and wished we stayed a bit longer.
