Friendly host and comfortable accommodation

Our host Rut was so kind and caring towards his guests. He will go above and beyond to make sure his guests are happy. He took the time to teach us how to use a scooter as it was our first time. He was always welcoming and friendly. The place was a perfect location if you rent a scooter.

Amazing stay amongst the coconut palms

An amazing value for the price. The huts are simple yet you have all you need - a bed with a fan for the night (AC options available too) and a private bathroom (it's rustic and without hot water but in hot temperatures no hot water was needed). The best feature of the huts - a terrace with hammocks where you can work or chill. You can get free coffee or tea from the common area, there is even an option to use the kitchen if you want to cook your own meals. Sometimes we were offered fruit and pastry in the morning for breakfast, which was very nice. The host are friendly, especially Root, who is always on the premises and happy to help with any requests. It was convenient that it was possible to rent a scooter right form the resort for a good price. The location deserves a special mention - it is away from the crowds yet close (walking distance) to the best beaches and eateries on the island. Plus the resort itself is full of palms Bawhich places you right in the middle of the nature - we saw hornbills every day visiting the resort as well as monitor lizards that were chased by the dog :) A great stay and a big thanks to the hosts!

- Well not really a negative but just FYI, beside the cute animals there are also spiders, snakes and frogs around the huts due to the proximity to the forrest / abundance of palms and fruits. We didn't see any dangerous types (and only saw a snake and a big spider outside of the hut once during a 1.5 week stay) but some may be spooked by it. - Would be nice to have a bedside lamp :)

We got our money stolen

We got out money stolen. Pay attention to the comments section. We got our money stoled on Baan Suan Coconut, and it looks like it’s not the first time this happens. Take a look further on the comments. When we’re out on a trip, somebody entered our bungalow and stole +7.000 baths (that we could count). When I went to ask them, they become super nervous and said were going to look in the two cameras around our bungalow. Nothing was done. They pretend nothing had happened. Also, they were offering us absurd prices for transfers.

The owners steal your money while you are away

Please read my review

Please take the time to carefully read the reviews on booking and agoda. You will notice that we are multiple guests to have had their money stolen by the owners of the property. I was the only guest during my entire stay (supposed to be 4 nights, left after 3) The owners act very friendly as a ploy - offering free coconuts, fruits, meals, even a scooter ride around the island. However, this is a trick as they go into your room and steal your cash when you are not there. It was only during the third evening that I noticed 100$AUD was missing from my passport holder (I had left it in the room on day 1, and had it with me on day 2 and 3 incase I needed it for the scooter rental). I counted and recounted my cash, and knew exactly how much I had in each currency. After leaving the room for 5 minutes, as I wanted to retrace my steps to see if I had accidentally dropped the cash (I had given my friend Vietnamese dong from the same passport holder), I came back to my room and the remainder of my AUD cash was gone, as well as 100baht (I had 220 in my wallet before leaving, and came back to 120 baht). Root, the owner, had seen me leave without any belongings/purse and had asked what I was up to. I had told him I thought I lost something and was going ahead looking for it. While I was leaving the room to ask the owners if they saw someone enter my room while I was gone, the wife who was in the hammock in the outside dining section, quickly hid herself, fully covering herself with it, where all you see is a lump (a body hidden by the material). When she thought I was no longer there, she opened the hammock and looked shocked to see I was there. When I questioned her about someone entering my room and taking my money, all of a sudden she no longer spoke or understood adequate English and responded random things such as “the dogs make noise and the leaves also in the wind”. When the owner Root came out and I asked him the same, he simply scratched his head and said “No…”.

A good option for a one-night stay, but we recommend keeping your belongings with you at all times.

A charming bungalow run by a lovely local family who live on the property. They made us feel right at home, cooking delicious meals for us every evening. Fresh water was always available, they provided insect repellent, and often even surprised us with fresh coconuts straight from their own trees.

Unfortunately, the bungalow is not fully enclosed, and the bathroom has no roof, which led to a lot of insects entering the room. More concerning, we suspect someone may have entered our room via the open bathroom while we were away on a boat trip. Upon returning, we discovered a significant amount of cash missing from both our money wallets—just enough to go unnoticed at first glance. Both wallets were stored securely inside our travel bags. While the hospitality was genuinely appreciated, we strongly recommend improvements to the security and room structure for future guests.

Clam, thieving owners

The place is pretty and free coconuts.

They stole us 4000 baths. 3000 by entering in our room. When we came back after our day trip, our stuff were moved and there was this big lack of money. It is impossible to protect your money as windows do not close and there is no safe deposit box. Then they stole us 1000 by ripping us off. We gave them the money for our return ticket to Krabi but they never give us the tickets. When we call them they deny like if we have never paid. The owner then fled with the money to the north of Thailand. Hard to explain the situation but they don't only took money from us but also from the taxi driver they never paid. This is a shame, clam at tourist if you want but no at thai people ! well In short, to flee.

The staff were amazing. Also one of the nicest places we’ve stayed in Thailand, the porch area with a hammock was especially good. Really good location, lovely beaches nearby. We got free fruit delivered to our hut which was super lovely. I would 100% stay here again.

The place is quite, clean, cozy and super relaxed, with just 6 bungalows, so not to many people around. Root, his mom and all the other staff were extremely nice and helpful. I got sick for 3 days, hardly couldn't move and they took care of me as I am a family member. Root even went to the pharmacy for me to get me some meds. Excellent place on the budget side, friendliest staff und really chill atmosphere.

LOVED my stay here. The accommodation was comfortable and chilled and wish I’d stayed longer. It attracted great people, the owners were incredibly friendly, accommodating and nothing was a problem. Their dog Laura was a total delight and I can be nervous round dogs. I went to the yoga place 5mins walk away for drop in yoga classes and free tai chi and meditation for sunrise. I absolutely hope to be back some day. The island was so special. The room was clean but simple but had everything I needed. Thankyou for making my stay so memorable

Great choice

The bungalows are very nice. There is a cute puppy and the family is very helpful. They serve thai breakfast and can help you with everything- renting a scooter, booking a tour. I have to point out that the bungalows have a private toilette which is kind of outside. A quiet place near the best massage and 5 min walk from a beautiful beach but not for swimming. Oh and you can have free coconuts!!

Beautiful and peaceful place

This place is wonderful! A quiet and peaceful gem, and it's just a 5-10 mn walk to the nice sandy beach. The bed is super comfy, the hammock on the terrace was very nice, everything was very clean. The host was so nice and helpful, he made sure we had a great time at his place, he welcomed us each morning with a good sticky-rice breakfast, and he gave us a lift to the pier when we left!

La mejor relación calidad precio de la isla

Las cabañas tiene todo lo que necesitas para una isla como Yao Noi. Te reciben con coco y plantamos, el encargado, Root es tan buena persona que hasta se ofreció a dejarme su tienda de campaña unos días si no encontraba alojamiento para el tiempo que me faltaba en la isla (su hotel estaba completo y tuve que buscar otro para el resto de la estancia. Lo encontré, pero si no lo hubiese encontrado, él me dejó claro que en la calle no iba a quedarme) mis dieces!!!!
