Highly recommend staying here. The guy offers a motorbike rental service aswell for 250 baht for 24hrs. He picked me up

I didn’t realise that there was a lot of ants that conjured up if you left rubbish. There was a few crumbs of cake left and it had ants crawling all over it on my bedside table. My own fault really

Amazing place to stay, beautiful hosts- kindest people on the planet. Always available- even for a scooter lesson!! Close to the pier and not far from the stunning Laem Had Beach, quite and peaceful area tho.

Beautiful,very comfortable accomodation in a lovely well kept garden!The bungalows are complete,spotless clean with very good beds,good aircon and wifi.Very friendly couple run the place,they can also arrange boat tickets and airport transfers for you for a good price,fantastic service!Restaurant and 7/11 on walking distance. Motorbikes for rent,bring you everywhere on the island. Will definately come again,very recommended!!:)

Perfect little bungalow

Very clean and lovely sized room, we really enjoyed staying here the hosts were very friendly and helpful. Rented motorbike from them and could have also booked onward travel.

Bed was a little hard but we find this in most places, still a great room :)

An extremely nice place to stay. We really liked the Modern Inn.

From the start the owners were very helpful and friendly. The property is made up of 7 separate bungalows each with seating on their own veranda. The rooms are of a good size, well maintained and very clean. A good size shower room and hot shower. To the front of the bungalows there is a well maintained garden and lawn with several lovely little bamboo huts that you can have your breakfast in. There are also washing machines and a dryer at the reception on the other side of the road. They also have scooters for hire and are well looked after.

Gardens really pretty and well kept. Gorgeous rooms with lots of natural light. Owner was so helpful and gave us a lift in his car to a few places and picked us up from the pier, so friendly and helpful. Fresh water every day and the sheets were so nice silky and comfortable.

There were ants but not much you can do about that just don’t leave food out.

It was close to the 7/11 and the owner was kind and lovely. Simple and has everything you need. The porch is perfect for lazing around.

The room is bright very clean.Staff very nice.They picked us up from the wharf and dropped us off agan.Motorbikes 250Bhat.

No restaurants nearby apart from one local restaurant on the corner.You need a motorbike to get around.We much preferred KohYao Noi.You cant get alcohol anywhere including 7/11.The restaurant next door was closed due to it being low season.It never stopped raining.To be expected seeing it is the rainy season.The beach very far away.Bed very hard.No safe in the room

It was in a great location, close to a shop and ATM. The grounds are well kept and the owners are lovely. They picked us up and dropped us back at the pier and helped us get a boat to Koh Yao Noi.

Exceptional

The Host was the nicest. He offered to pick us up and bring us back to the pier. We could also book private boat tours and kayak tours at a cheaper price than anywhere else on the island. They have a scooter rental and he even teached me how to drive the scooter. On top of that he accompanied my first drive to the beach, just to be safe. You can also do your laundry there. The bungalow is so nice and really clean with a beautiful view to the green garden. It was really nice sitting outside enjoying the nature.

The bathroom was a bit loud while using.

Perfect stay, cannot fault a thing!

As soon was we arrived we felt like part of their family! They picked us up from the pier and checked us into our little bungalow. The place was clean, comfortable and the surroundings were tranquil. During our stay we rented a motorbike from the hotel and also did some laundry, both a smooth process and really recommend.

clean private bungalow 5 min drive from Chong lard Pier, ao Nang port to and from Phuket, Ko Yao Noi and Krabi

We stayed 3 nights here. The hosts were lovely and picked us up from Chong Lard port by car., as it’s too far to walk. The small bungalow was very clean and functional with working AC, hot water rainshower in average size wet room. There is a table and comfortable chair in the room which functions as a desk, and the Wi-Fi works decently. Outside there is a private balcony overlooking the simple lawn garden with 3 bamboo sheltered huts with table and bench to sit in the shade. We were provided 2 small drinking bottles a day, and there is a kettle in the room with mugs, glasses and milky instant coffee sachets. There is also a good size fridge freezer in the room, and Tele, small wardrobe with a good amount of hangers (it came with 3 but we asked for more which they g happily provided). There is daily housekeeping g provided on request. We could hire decent motorbikes or scooters Across the road from their reception area. On site is also a convenient coin laundry wash facility for 30 or 40 baht (buy your own washing powder, which they sell for 10 baht per load). Dryer was available at a separate price but we preferred to air dry, and our clothes dried naturally. The location is near a night market for dinner (closed Thursday), a 7-eleven selling morning coffee with a krungsri atm, and a couple halal restaurants for lunch.

They helped us book our boat transfer to Krabi, which came with free transfer to the port. However we also thought, perhaps mistakenly , that there was also free pickup on the other side to our next hotel which was not the case. the island is mostly Muslim, so very few places sell or serve alcohol. Our hotel did not allow alcohol. We would have preferred this being stated on the hotel description prior to booking, but it was not a big issue to have a dry few nights. The only way to visit beaches is by motorbike. The best cleanest water beach for swimming are on the furthest southwest coast of the island, at least a 30 min ride away.

- nice location - not far from the pier and beach, restaurants nearby (100% recommend Laanmaye - fantastic food and we got given free tea & coffee at the end), a couple moped rentals (would advise as it’s handy to see more of the island) - very friendly staff - owner picked us up from the pier for no charge which was very kind - large, comfortable room with nice balcony

Super friendly host and good value for money

Mr Mart was super helpful and friendly - personally collecting us from the pier on our arrival and dropping us off. He also helped us with organising trips to Hong Island and kayaking - recommending the best times to go. Plus we were nervous about driving a scooter so he quickly sorted out a car rental for us. The bungalow is very clean and has all the amenities plus the garden is very well kept. There is also housekeeping available if your staying a few nights. Good location as the 7 eleven and other shops and restaurants are nearby. However would say you need a vehicle to get round the island and to the beaches. Would definitely stay here again!

The best place to stay on Koh Yao Yai

We had here the greatest stay in Thailand! The host and his family are just gorgeous guest keepers! The appartment was cozy and clean. We also booked a great private boot trip to Phan Nga Nationalpark. And they have a fantastic Restaurant just next to the Appartement with great meals and Breakfast!!!

Everything was great. We just had a couple of aunts in the bathroom, but this is just nature :)

Quiet place with walking distance to some nice restaurants. The staff of this hotel was amazing! They arranged an unforgettable private tour for us and took a really good care of us overall. In the end of our stay we even got a lift to our next hotel. Many many thanks!

The owners were so kind, friendly and generous. You can rent a moped for very little from them to travel around the island. They were very accommodating and helped us to find transport to another location. The room was very clean with good facilities (fridge with water, hairdryer) - you can wash your clothes onsite for 30 Baht.
