A very comfortable, quiet, modern bungalow

We had a very enjoyable stay. The room was a great size and very modern, the photos don't do the room or the location justice. We were in room 5 at the end and it was very quiet. It's one of the comfiest beds we've had on our trip. The seating area out front was pleasant. The staff were friendly and helpful, we booked a scooter through them and they offered to book us a taxi but we didn't mind the walk back to the pier. There's some good places to eat less than 10 minutes walk either side of the bungalows. Theres a shop a minute away and a 7 Eleven in the town.

2 days in a dream

The owner is the most amazing and caring person I met in Thailand, he’s young, cool and very helpful. Other than that, great place for travelers who want to feel the authenticity of living in the village. We loved it

Decent stay in natural surroundings

The surroundings in nature were nice. The guy drove me to the pier for a very good price.

The WiFi only worked sporadically in the hut I was in and the only other option was to go to the reception area which was a shame. Within walking distance to the “center”. A hammock for relaxing would have been nice. Very limited English spoken by the staff.

Superb

It's a very relaxing place, my family and I felt very welcome here. it suits well like someone looks for nature retreating from a busy life and my personal opinion, i don't like a big hotel anymore. You can walk about 5-10 minutes to the beach. If you enjoy walking on white sand, you can walk to Laem Had Beach. :)

Nice rooms

We stayed in a deluxe double room which was very clean and a good size. One staff member speaks English and was helpful with renting a scooter.

The TV didn’t work - wasn’t a huge issue for us though. Blinds don’t block out the light so it is very bright early in the morning.

A relaxing place in the middle of the forest

It was one of the cutest and quietest places I've been in Thailand. As a backpacker, I just loved the little hut I was in. Surprisingly, it was not hot inside, and you are right in the middle of the nature.

Good budget private accommodation. They clean your room every day, make up your bed, new bottles of water. (for extra costs) possible to rent a scooter or use the gym. Even though there English isn't very good, the family really wants to help you.

I loved everything about Bankunyaiy

I loved everything about Bankunyaiy, it's peaceful & relaxed. The chalet I had was super comfortable, clean and tasteful. There are also some cheaper fan rooms, the photos don't do them justice really, they looked comfortable enough too. It's a small family run homestay, its lovely location is set among trees so the accomodations stay shaded. It's just a few minutes walk to the village with its shop and small night market and there are also a few restaurants the other way. The absolute icing on the cake is the warm friendliness of these wonderful people. They made me feel very welcome and took care of all my needs without any fuss. Fantastic, thank you.

Everything was good. The room with AC was spacious and clean. bathroom was alright with enough pressure and hot water.

The lady entered in our room at night when we weren't there. She didn't even apologize. It wasn't because she was going to clean because it was late evening. I wouldn't choose this hotel again because of that.

IT was so amazing that we stay longer. At first : rent bike there or Also you can rent the atv !Its the cheapest and really easy . IT took us ONLY 10min. We Made Also deal renting bike only for a half day ☺️ We forgott for a holder on a bike and we left to Noi . When we came to the pier some guy stoped us and told us that our holder Is comming to us (10min ) . Amazing servis , so kind and friendly that i can't find right words 😍 The bungalov looks on the picture as a tent but Its not tent at All ! IT have everything what you need And much more: electric cettle , soft towells , shower gel, air conditiner, water, coffee ! Everyday lady came And clean our place And give us fresh water. Also in the reception Is a fridge. Amazing Nature, amazing everything , thank you 🙏🙏🙏

cute huts, similar style to camping

really cute huts to sleep in, free waters, gym on site for 100 baht pp with good equipment inside and was given sweat towel and free water. lovely staff. location was relatively near 7 eleven and small restaurants.

the shared toilet and showers were cubicles with no roof, meaning an evening shower was asking for mosquito bites. toilet roll wasn’t replaced, no flush so had to use buckets of water, and no soap. Huts had fans but rather warm especially during the day when the sun is direct. one of the cheapest options for accommodation but still pricey compared to other islands.

Great place to stay on the Island

We loved this place, it's just a minute ride from the 7-eleven, but is a but hidden from the road and you get a nice view of the grove of gum trees, peaceful and quiet. In the room we had everything we needed, the bed was fairly comfortable, and there was a small wardrobe to hang clothes.

Communication was a bit difficult due to language barrier and there weren't curtains on most of the windows so the room was very bright early in the morning.

Great stay and lovely friendly staff

Great stay for 2 nights in a deluxe room. Well worth the money. Clean room and bathroom and lovely balcony area. Located near to the pier and small town and 10 minutes walk from 7/11 and a few restaurants. We rented a scooter from the hotel. The island is easy to explore by scooter. Staff very friendly and helpful!

I was very satisfactic. Definitely quiete place, only sound of jungle, amazing sleeping. I stayed in something like a tent, but it was wonderfull. Every where nets agains for insekt. Accomadation is similar like capmping, but I love it. It was my one of the best acomodation in Thailand. Free bottle of water and coffie every day

I was looking for a quiet place to relax and enjoy the beauty of the natural environment, so this was perfect. I was offered a lift to the beaches by the proprietors and enjoyed walking to the village restaurants to eat. The plastic debris along the coast served as sad reminder as to how we are messing up our beautiful planet, and that as tourists we need to encourage and help locals conserve their beautiful island. If you are looking for “Thai Crazy” Bankunyaiy is probably not for you,

Lovely accommodation and very helpful owners. The young guy there took us up to the beach in his little moped truck for 50baht for 3 of us ! Area not commercialised, so if you want to get back to the real Thailand Yao yai is The place Get mopeds and travel around. Great 7/11

I stayed in a lovely small hut which was a definition of simplicity. This resort is a great place for nature lovers who are looking for peace, sounds of birds, and greenery . The atmosphere is a bit like on a camping site, but more peaceful.

Please be aware that the water in the shower is cold. It wasn't a big deal for me but it could be a no-go to someone else.
