A little piece of paradise!

What a wonderful hidden gem! The view from the bungalows is amazing! I loved getting up to watch the sunrise over the bay from the balcony or resting in the hammock in the afternoon! We stayed in both the air conditioned and the unit with fan and both were wonderful! The staff were wonderful always friendly and ready to help! We loved the food in the restaurant and what a treat to get to eat surrounded by hornbills in the nearby trees. The whole resort feels like a little piece of paradise.

The stairs to get up there are a little bit of a workout but, for the view, we'll worth the climb!

Can We Give Eleven Stars?

Our rustic hillside bungalow was spacious, comfortable, clean and quiet, with hot shower, AC, fan, mosquito net over the bed, refrigerator, kettle, excellent WiFi and a balcony (with hammock) facing the sea. The stunning sea view was better than picture-perfect, especially at sunrise. We were nestled peacefully among nature and loved watching the geckos, squirrels, butterflies and all the hornbills flying back and forth. We felt private and secluded while still being close to amenities. The host family (Mr. Ling, Minh, Ma, Sevitri) and the entire staff were exceptionally welcoming, kind and helpful and treated us like old friends. They arranged a boat excursion for us, rented us a scooter on-site, provided laundry service and organized a taxi. The in-house restaurant was fantastic. We loved the curries (penang, green and massaman), papaya salads, stir-fried morning glory, grilled fish with garlic & pepper, spring rolls and yummy mango shakes. The staff gave us complimentary water at the start of each dinner and free slices of watermelon as a dessert. The housekeeping plan was to clean our bungalow every 3 or 4 days, but the cleaning ladies still stopped by every day to check if we needed anything. We never ran out of shampoo, soap, clean towels, plentiful (complimentary) bottled water and toilet paper. We will never forget this amazing place and its wonderful staff. 100% recommended.

Absolute little gem - with amazing views

Rustic bungalow with amazing views of the bay. Bed comfy. Did not need aircon as fans worked perfectly Gorgeous food in restaurant and very good value. Staff so friendly and helpful- went out of their way to make sure everything ok. Rented scooters without problem. Could charge so much more for the experience.

Amazing view

Our stay was absolutely wonderful. We had a stunning view from the window and the terrace, which made our visit even more special. Everything was clean, well-organized, and clearly well taken care of. The hosts and staff were extremely helpful, kind, and very polite. We truly enjoyed our time here!!!

It’s a perfect place for your getaway! If you want to run away from hustle and bustle, you should come here! We spent three nights there and the experience was amazing! Tasty breakfast, tasty dinner, stunning views, hornbills and squirrels coming for lunch and dinner on the banana trees - that all made our stay!

A Magnificent Stay That We Won't Forget Anytime Soon

This was one of the best, if not the best place we stayed at during our Thailand visit. The bungalows were practical and had everything we needed. The view however... was worth millions. We cried when we left here. The location is also very quiet, which made us connect with the nature around us. Hornbills were gathering outside of our veranda every evening. We felt very privileged not only to see but also hear the wildlife in such splendor. Overall, we were sad we didn't stay longer, and hope to return soon.

Just a few things to note for awareness (not negatives for us as we loved our stay): there are a lot of mosquitoes so do bring spray. Ko Yao Noi was the place with most mosquitoes out of all we visited and it's worth noting that this was during the dry season also. The bungalows without aircon were entirely built of wood as opposed to the ones with, inevitably having some cracks and holes. Ours was not properly sealed which allowed bugs and small wildlife to enter at night, but we had a mosquito net so this wasn't a problem for us.

It was a relaxing stay with great food! Would apprieciate better facilities and better communication

Loved the food and hospitality, very polite and kind! The food was authentic and delicious. The view from our villa was beatiful, truly breath taking. It was quiet and peaceful, and it was really nice to chill at the balcony. They were friendly and I would go back!

The communication could be better, we took a 1 day island-hopping package with them which was 2300 Bhat. The tour was okay, the boat was quite old and not maintained very well, but the driver and his grandson was a delight! After the end of the tour, the boat dropped us off at the jetty and was informed that transport is otw, we waited 30 minutes for transport and nothing (which was included in the package). There was no communication or updates on when we are getting back to the villa, even when I reached out to them. At the end we had to pay for a taxi to bring us back, which cost us an extra 300 bhat. it was rainy and cold, so this really made a dent in our experience.

The restaurant was excellent - I had most of my meals there during my stay. Fantastic mango lassi.... The view from my bungalow was magnificent! And the hammock just made it a perfect spot during the rainy hours. Very friendly staff!

Breathtaking view from the tree-tops.

Wow, the view was absolutely breathtaking! The host was so friendly and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed. It was like being surrounded by nature’s sweet symphony. We enjoyed watching the hornbills in the tree outside and the geckos sometimes inside. The iced coffee at the restaurant was delicious.

The beds were a little hard. It is quite a steep hill to get from the beach to the room, but it is worth it to wake up to that view. It was difficult to get the sliding door to the balcony to close completely.

A fantastic budget stay

The views from the bungalows are magnificent. The rooms are spacious and even had a little fridge. It was within walking distance to the little town and we did a few paddling and boat trips from the jetty close by. The family is so friendly and it felt like home. We will definitely recommend this place for budget travelers. It was a wonderful experience

One of a kind stay!

This was one of a kind - definitely worth a stay! The views were unbelievable and the staff was excellent and so friendly! They have a wide variety of food. I highly recommend staying for a night!

You have to be aware it is in the middle of trees so there will be bugs, lizards etc. The staff were very helpful if we wanted to get rid of any bugs! I think our bungalow wasn’t as modern as the other ones around us but I think we had the best view so that made up for it!

Hornbills from my hammock

What a superb location, the cabins are rustic, I got one without air-conditioning, by choice, the fans are great and kept me cool. The cabins are basic, gaps in the boards and walls, but they are fully water tight. They do let in little gecko type lizards who are happy to live alongside you. From the hammock, I regularly saw Hornbills, squirrels, and butterflies. The family who run this place are so lovely and friendly, always wishing you well. I had most meals in the restaurant, I did try other restaurants in the area, but they're not nearly as tasty and have good value as the restaurant on site. Good coffee, too! If you are looking for peace and quiet or a great place to base your island adventures from this is the one!!! It's not luxury but comfortable with all the basics done well. I felt safe and cared for without impinging my space. The cats are so sweet, too.

The humidity got allot some times, l but nothing that a cool shower and fan couldn't fix. The bay empties during low tide, so going for a swim was a bit of a trek, but so close enough at high tide.

Lovely Rustic Thai experience

The most incredible view! A lovely family run home stay. The hosts were incredibly helpful and kind, the food was very nice, home cooked and reasonably priced. We were looking for a slightly rustic Thai experience for our island getaway and this is exactly what we got. The beach is ok for a paddle, but If you get a taxi slightly further south there are 2 good beaches for swimming. We did a private 5 island boat trip (Hong island) booked through the bungalows and very good value-2300bhat plus national park fees . It was far nicer than the 4 island one we did from Krabi- mainly because we left early (8am) and there were far fewer tourists. We used taxis to get around rather than moped as we have children (and it was too hot to cycle). You do need to get around the island a bit to fully enjoy.

Idyllic restful peaceful

I adored this place. I could have easily extended my stay if I'd had more time in the country. I will definitely add it into my itinerary when I return. It was really comfortable, safe and secure. The family that run it are incredibly welcoming and kind. The restaurant has the best views in the area along with beautiful views from the balcony of each hut. A beautiful and relaxing stay in an incredible location

I had a wonderful stay here at Tha Khao Bay. It is very beautiful and I felt incredibly safe and relaxed here. You are nestled in the jungle and then there is a beach in front you can swim in when the tide is high and other beaches on the island. Everything I needed was organised for me and Mr Linh and his family were all so friendly and kind. The island is so peaceful and there is plenty to explore and do. I loved my stay here and it was incredibly good value. Such an amazing place! They also had a proper coffee machine :) I was a little warm at night in the fan room as it was hot season but I did expect this and it was reflected in the good value and meant it was so peaceful in the resort.

A wonderful place to calm down

I know Bayview since many years and always came for the lovely food, the spectacular view and the wonderful people. This time I was lucky to stay a week in a spacious, very comfy bungalow with fantastic view. The bed was large and good, the sofa was great for some siesta and reading. There were enough cupboards and shelves for storing things and I also loved the huge bathroom with the window just above the sink. The terrace offered everything you needed including a hammock. I absolutely recommend to stay in these wooden/bamboo bungalows instead of concrete buildings as it cools down in the night, you always get a brise through all gaps and splits (no air con is needed!) and walking on wood feels so much better. Sure, my hut was not the newest with some holes in the ceiling but never mind and no need to be scared - that way I had the nice experience the host a breeding Tokeh (big gecko) hidden in a trunk. Last but not least, the owner family is simply incredibly nice and caring and cook extremely yummy food. :)

Great stay at Tha Khao Bay View - wonderful setting.

Tha Khao Bay View has a lovely terrace and restaurant overlooking the bay. The property is well-kept, and the bungalows are well-spaced and not right next to one another. We stayed in the more basic bungalow the first two nights and were very comfortable. The third night, we stayed in a larger, more expensive bungalow and were even more comfortable. The staff were very kind and helpful. Scooter rental available on site, and staff gave advice on visiting and getting around the island. Food was very good, tasty and reasonably priced. We highly recommend Tha Khao Bay View to travelers visiting Koh Yao Noi.

Very peaceful and private with a wonderful view over the bay. The bungalows are very close to Island Yoga resort where I took part in some drop in classes and sunrise Tai Chi on the beach. Perfect for my holiday!

I was prepared for insect invasions, but actually it wasn’t as bad as I had read in other comments. I also love the sound of the jungle at night! However I did have an invasion of bitey ants during my stay which weren’t so pleasant. The cleaning team quickly helped out though and got rid of them!
