Such a special place. Rooms even our air conditioned one are pretty basic but the family who run Bay View and the welcome they give you is unforgettable. Views over bay - especially if you wake for sunrise are incredible. Restaurant food is consistently delicious. Bonus are the hornbills and squirrels that can been spotted from bungalow terraces. Such a memorable stay, thank you!
We loved it, but may not be the same for everyone? Uneven ground around bungalow paths - not suitable for anyone unsteady on their feet or who can’t climb steep steps from road. You need to be happy to stay in a wooden cabin. Not fault of property but we wished we had packed swimming shoes as parts of bay littered with sharp coral and cant be purchased on the island.

The view is breathtaking.
It’s a super cute little traditional bungalow. Only fan but because it’s airy, it’s possible to sleep well at night. Very clean and cozy.
The owners are very friendly people, probably the nicest I’ve met since I’ve been in Thailand. Always with a big smile, always helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

What a wonderful hidden gem! The view from the bungalows is amazing! I loved getting up to watch the sunrise over the bay from the balcony or resting in the hammock in the afternoon! We stayed in both the air conditioned and the unit with fan and both were wonderful! The staff were wonderful always friendly and ready to help! We loved the food in the restaurant and what a treat to get to eat surrounded by hornbills in the nearby trees. The whole resort feels like a little piece of paradise.
The stairs to get up there are a little bit of a workout but, for the view, we'll worth the climb!

Our rustic hillside bungalow was spacious, comfortable, clean and quiet, with hot shower, AC, fan, mosquito net over the bed, refrigerator, kettle, excellent WiFi and a balcony (with hammock) facing the sea. The stunning sea view was better than picture-perfect, especially at sunrise. We were nestled peacefully among nature and loved watching the geckos, squirrels, butterflies and all the hornbills flying back and forth. We felt private and secluded while still being close to amenities.
The host family (Mr. Ling, Minh, Ma, Sevitri) and the entire staff were exceptionally welcoming, kind and helpful and treated us like old friends. They arranged a boat excursion for us, rented us a scooter on-site, provided laundry service and organized a taxi.
The in-house restaurant was fantastic. We loved the curries (penang, green and massaman), papaya salads, stir-fried morning glory, grilled fish with garlic & pepper, spring rolls and yummy mango shakes. The staff gave us complimentary water at the start of each dinner and free slices of watermelon as a dessert.
The housekeeping plan was to clean our bungalow every 3 or 4 days, but the cleaning ladies still stopped by every day to check if we needed anything. We never ran out of shampoo, soap, clean towels, plentiful (complimentary) bottled water and toilet paper.
We will never forget this amazing place and its wonderful staff. 100% recommended.
We stayed 33 nights - not long enough - and were so sad to leave.
