Beautiful location, friendly staff, but heartbreaking construction

Beautiful location

They were doing very environmentally damaging dirt work while we were there. It was very disturbing to the peace and quiet and to the environment. They were digging up one hill right behind our room and filling in a lagoon that they added a bunch of trash too, right in front of our room. They stopped until the day we were leaving.

The location is absolutely idyllic, with a stunning view facing the water. The bungalows are spacious, very clean, and the atmosphere is extremely peaceful. It truly felt like a little paradise, perfect for relaxing and disconnecting.

During our three-night stay, it was almost impossible to find any staff available. Whether it was to book excursions, rent a scooter, check in, check out, or even during breakfast, there was simply no one around. This was quite disappointing and made things less convenient.

Very comfortable ocean front bungalows. Very clean and nice porch with amazing views. Great to have pool at lowtide.

The pond in front of the bungalow looked dirty and smelled really bad. It was a pitty. Breakfast buffet very generic and should offer more fruit - and solve having so much single use plastic for butter, jam etc.

We enjoyed our stay and appreciated that we could just cross the road to swim, the garden cafe was great too.

The location was near the beach across the small road). The beach was great to swim in although not crystal clear and also at high tide, no sand left to put your towel. Walkable distance to shops and cafes. A motorbike the best to explore the island. Check in at 3 pm felt a bit late.

Only thing was that the ponds were not really full and did not have lotus lily like on the photo. Felt a bit more like stagnant water but it was not a major dislike really.

False advertising, watch out

It has nice beach next to it.

They are fooling tourists thinking that you bungalow while actually they place you in garage facilities. They have only a few bungalows on the front.

Great

Everything overall was great. Beautiful resort, gentle staff, good location and quiet area. Lots of options to rent anything you need for your stay, which makes it great. They just opened their spa as well so it’s nice. Pool is great as well.

Our bungalow had a mosquito protection door which was broken and quite tacky. A bunch of amenities would be appreciated as well since it’s a resort (toothbrushes, slippers…)

Great place to stay in Ko Yao Noi for a fantastic time

A lovely place that we so could have stayed in for longer than 5 nights! Pool was great, as was the pool table, and great location. Breakfast was good enough!

We enjoyed our time here, we didn’t go to beach here as there’s better beaches in walking distance

Children friendly, has a park and a trampoline, spacious room, can order food and drink to the room, short walking distance to restaurants, breakfast food was good

Food quality was average, food took a long time to come to the room, breakfast not till 8pm - would be better at 7/730 like most other hotel, shower pressure was quite poor, a lot of building work while we were there and pool tiles very slippy my husband fell holding our baby 😭

It was laid back with the beach just across the road. Location was great and close to restaurants. Nice pool, friendly staff. Could get drinks. Breakfast was included. Loved the dogs. Nice sunrises.

Be nice if the breakfast was covered with lids or a cloth as it’s out for several hours and the pesky birds were helping themselves. We just went for breakfast at 8 as soon as it was put out so this wasn’t a problem for us.

I like a good swim in the sea, so Holiday Resort is perfect; can just walk over the road to the sea and head north or south (this visit I booked around high tide for an early morning swim, low tide is generally rocky around Ko Yao Noi). The staff are particularly helpful and friendly, for example, i arrived and left with my electric scooter on the car ferry, and the manager offered a later checkout time, (maybe not feasible in high season?). The two chalets i have stayed in were perfect for me; just the right size with a sizeable covered veranda. Both had a choice of air con or fan. The fittings, furniture and equipment are well thought out, and the change-over crew do a thorough job of checking and cleaning. The setting is perfect, with Hornbills up in the tall trees, and wading birds looking for fish and frogs in the pond. I enjoyed the included breakfast after my swims, and the swimming pool is a good size and well maintained.

During the low season months, we must expect some refurbishment, alterations and construction; It's a good and necessary thing as it shows the management is committed to providing a first-rate service. Work did not seem to start early or end late, and the workers are good natured and make an effort to minimise disruption. As with any hotel or resort, we can always make a request in advance for a room away from any works. That's what i did, as my first visit in March was a bit too close to the restaurant rebuild. This visit, no problem.

Definitely worth the stay!

This property was gorgeous and right on the beach front! A nice chill area and pool, as well as a pool table and options for drinks. Central to everything and the staff are nice. We ended up staying an extra two days we loved it that much!

Gym is a bit small and the breakfast is quite limited, but that’s only a minor thing.

I booked a chalet, not a bungalow. This section of the property is under construction with no other guests. My assigned room had a pile of construction materials in front. The staff showed me to a nearby room which looked new but hadn’t been cleaned for guest use so there were dead bugs smeared on the walls and animal (gecko?) feces on one of the beds. I suggest going with a bungalow since these seemed quite charming and guest ready. Also, high chlorine level in the otherwise refreshing pool. That said, staff were really, really nice. I’d return just because of them.

It was in a very good location and the staff were friendly.

The hut itself was very worn down with multiple patches of mould and damp. There were windows at the top of the hut with no curtains so the whole room was lit up by the lights on the path outside at night so it was difficult to sleep. You don’t get a choice on your breakfast it just gets brought to you- unfortunately it was not to my taste.

Reflects the price

For the price, it was what it was. The room was not as I saw in the pictures and very far from the facilities Wifi didn’t work and difficult to communicate with staff Reviews about the breakfast are accurate (not the best) But it was cheap

Very basic stay, not worth the money

The rooms definitely need renovation! Whatever could have been broken was, probably except for the fridge. The bed had a big whole on one side not to mention the shower, where the water was coming all different directions except for the desired one. The breakfast is very basic, but it’s there.

Loving Koh Yao Noi!

We absolutely loved the view from our room! It also was spacious and comfortable - felt like our own little home. The pool is a nice addition to the property as well, because you can look right at the sea too. Shops and restaurants are just a street away and I am pretty sure the staff would help you with anything you inquire.

Breakfast was a little disappointing. You could only choose between scrambled eggs, fried eggs or omelette with toast - no menu.

Lovely views and in a good location.

The view from the balcony is amazing (ignoring the electric cables!) and the colours of the karsts change hourly/daily so easy to sit there for hours. The room is a good size, although perhaps a bit too much furniture but all functional with a fridge and tea/coffee facilities. The pool is a good size and also has lovely views. Staff are friendly and the room is cleaned when you want it and water and toilet paper provided every day. The breakfasts were very good so they must have up the game following previous reviews. You can rent bikes which you will need to see the island but some restaurants/bars walkable.

really impressed by this place. great value for money, great rooms and views. there’s a pool and a gym and breakfast - eggs, watermelon, toast with jam, orange juice and coffee. Cleaning staff made the room so nicely everyday - stock up fridge with water and coffee which was nice. Aircon in rooms is great

Great accomodation and friendly staff

Clean comfortable rooms. Friendly staff. 10 min walk to other restaurants. I ate dinner at the restaurant on site which was ok. Just note they only take cash which caught me out on my last night. I rented a scooter for the day and that was fantastic. Breakfast was also good.

The rooms are very light at night because they have little windows across the top of each wall. Not an issue once you’re asleep but could cause issues if you are used to total darkness.

The view, the vibe, Pi Pat the manager goes out of her way for all guests. She is a hidden treasue. Truly enjoyed my time here. Room was great, Seaview, all rooms come with a huge porch to lounge day or night. Highly recommemd
