We loved our stay. The room and hotel were such good value for money and in a great location. The staff were all really friendly. We enjoyed hiring the scooters from the hotel - which was really easy to do, to explore the island!

Could be a great hotel. Beach area requires some attention rumble and rubbish around. You are unable to walk along the beech due to this. Staff helpful in general, checkin/office guy not so friendly and not helpful. Reserved a motor bike, very poor quality looked like one of the staffs for premium rates, you’d be better to book from one of the local vendors not the hotel.

Got picked up at the pier by the hotel and thought “this is nice”. Did not tell me it was not included with the resort and actually cost 4x what the taxis were charging. Drinks were not good and were overpriced. Got a “mango colada” and they filled the glass up not even halfway (probably 8 oz) and charged 190 baht. The group of women that served me and my wife were honestly rude and I will not be back to this “resort” or Koh Yao Yai. We have been island hopping and Koh Yao Noi is just 100000x better.

We stayed in 2 of their rooms; the first night was in first line with a view of the beach, with a big porch, jacuzzi, and lots of space. It was the most luxurious room we stayed in for whole trip, and it wasn’t too expensive. We loved the look and decoration of the place, and it was very clean and comfortable. The next night we stayed at one of the smaller rooms on the second line from the beach. This room was perfectly fine, and cost half of the first room. For the “downside” this hotel is very family friendly, so if you are looking for a quiet place without big families and kids playing, this place might be a bit noisy, especially by the pool area. The location could also use a sandy beach, as you have to enter the ocean through stairs on a concrete wall. But a real beach is within few minutes driving. The personnel are nice but they speak very little English and seem a bit reserved at times. Overall the service was the bare minimum, no more or less.

Comfortable enough, however they were renovating all the time around us. The only time they stopped was when there was a power cut or at night. In the photos it looks like there is a beach but it is actually a wall with a big step into mud, not sand. Not a swimming beach. The pool is very nice, but most of the deck and outdoor durniture is in bad condition and dangerous in some areas. The staff were great.

Friendly and helpful staff. The room nice but very noisy during the nights because of the various insect noises. Rent a moped to get around, the streets are not made for walking unfortunately. The hotel restaurant is ok but you can find far more better not far from the hotel.

I really enjoyed Thiwson, peaceful bungalow village with powerful air-con. Awesome detail was also the bungalow shower which doesn’t have a roof so it feels like tou shower in the nature. Rooms were clean and the staff was so friendly! Wifi was okay but not the fastest. They also provide scooter rent so you can easily explore the island of Koh Yao yai. Here you can forget time when you spend your holiday here.

It is a quiet place to stay. Overall, it was a good stay but the resort should pay more attention to details such as cleaning and tyding up the chairs on the beach. We stayed in 3 different rooms duirng our stay and the beds were not the same. One of them was very soft that your body sank and it was not comfortable at all. The breakfast should be better and the food at the restaurant is a bit expensive. Not all customers go there for dinner.

The views and quiet lifestyle of Ko Yao Yai are surely something to see. (Although the world is full of quiet beaches and you can get the same experience for less) The accommodations and service,however, were unbelievable. As in, I can’t believe this is happening. For the sake of brevity I’ll leave a list of complaints: - not a resort; more a campground; open ceilings and poor insulation - Animals free to enter the room; bats, rats, lizards and insects were a regular issue - When I told the front desk my wife and I couldn’t stay in a room with bats they laughed replied “they are in every room. Not dangerous.” - After insisting and getting our new room, we found no bats but rats watching us from the restroom roof (again no ceilings) - Our last dinner was a burger and salad and it took 40 minutes to arrive soggy and cold. Meals are slightly overpriced - We were quoted 1400 baht for a boat out and taxi and were charged 1750. -all/ most fire extinguishers out of date / expired -witnessed an electrical explosion and short power outage overnight. -got shorted 10+ minutes on my massage. This location might be the spot for you. I did see people seemingly enjoying themselves. But just be aware; you get what you pay for and once you get here you’re pretty stranded.

Lovely open air shower. Pool next to our villa was very salty for some reason but main pool was lovely (you have to walk down a hill and across the main road to get to the main complex). If you want total seclusion and no alternative dining or bar options then this is fine but we got a little bored of the same. The bed was very hard! But - it was a very very beautiful hotel and room.

Really nice staff. Awesome pool, especially the infinity pool next to the beach. Houses in lovely traditional style with an outside shower attached. The hill houses are really nice and have their own pool. But you need to cross a street to get there. If you are traveling from overseas plan enough time for getting to the island (there are several ferry connections but not running all day long). Especially this makes it less crowded by tourists and feels like paradise. Breakfast was good (toast, pancakes, fresh fruits, Thai food). And you can choose how your eggs shall be prepared. The restaurant is also open for lunch and dinner. The western meals on the menu sometimes do not match our definition. But there are plenty of choices. You get two bottles of water every day. There is a small supermarket and an atm right next to the resort. There are also a few other restaurants nearby. The massage service is great and you can see the ocean from massage parlour which is is slightly away from the rest (more privacy).

Stopped here after five days on Phuket. Requested same beach front villa as our previous visit and we got it. Although this is a very quiet stay it’s a lot of fun. We have become friends with all the staff from the owner to the restaurant servers/bartenders and the onsight massage woman. We requested in room massage due to the heat as opposed to on the beach and we were accomadated. The food here although a little expensive is delicious. The chicken wings I had last year are not the same and I was disappointed. The spicy prawns were huge, cooked perfectly and as spicy as you can get. Large variety of mixed drinks available this time around. Breakfast has improved. Hot rich coffee from the urn, fruit, cereal, eggs cooked to order and pancakes. We had an early departure and we were provided with food to go along with a ride to the pier which isn’t free but fair. The owner was up early to see us off. The friendships we’ve made here will last a lifetime.
