First and foremost the staff make the experience. Every single one of them incredibly friendly from start to finish, fun to be around and always carrying a smile. The stay is very cool, unique and especially on such a quiet island, a nice slice of peace. Would highly recommend Awana for that spot on Koh Yao Noi where you want ease, assistance and to be just slightly removed from all the typical resorts.
You will need a bike to get to the best beaches which the accommodation can provide you for a decent rate. The shuttle from the pier was also incredibly beneficial - and adds to the experience feeling like you have an exclusive escort.
Not anything that would be considered ruining the experience, however would have loved to be able to close the bathroom door from the outside. Currently it can only be closed when locked from the inside causing it to constantly swing open.
Would also be beneficial if the room had one of those plug-in mosquito repellents.

Very quiet location that is a little bit off from the road.
Luxurious rooms and amazing staff, would absolutely visit again.
The famous hornbill showed itself every day at the hotell. Seems like they were nesting there
Close to the jungle which meant insects and animals might visit you.

I spend the most incredible 2 days during my trip in Thailand. This island is a paradise and this hotel is a gem. I recommend to everyone to stay here if they want to be in a calm and beautiful place. We eat well and the facilities are perfect. The staff is very attentive and kind. They rent scooter by the day at a very attractive price what is perfect to visit the island. They can do your laundry if you ask them.

The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The whole resort area is very clean and very well taken care of. The nature is stunningly beautiful and the private pool rooms are really cozy. The view from the little private pools is amazing. Its a super quiet and small resort with a lot of nature and relaxing athmosphere. The breakfast selection was okay, but could have been a bit more. But everything was fresh and tasty.
Unfortunately the mattresses are way to hard and the pillows were also not good. I did not sleep well at all and had a lot of back pain. For the pool rooms, which are a bit more on the expensive side, we would have expected super comfortable beds. We would love to come back one day, but not unless they are going to upgrade the mattresses. Another point that needs to be mentioned is, that the lights of our pool have been not working. We told the staff and they said that they know it is not working, but it hasn't been fixed yet. That was also quite dissapointing. It would have been nice to have a swimg after sunset with some pool lighting.
