Hillhouse - Koh Yao Noi

The location is fabulous with an amazing view. An easy walk to the beach. A perfect treehouse.

The bungalow is cute, with a larger balcony and an awesome view- a great place for morning coffee and sunrise. Don't miss the sunrise! Good value for its price.

I did not like ....... that we had to leave from there. :(

Hillhouse exceeded our expectations. We had Glang 2 - and a gorgeous view and complete privacy. The greeting on arrival was warm and genuine. We rented a scooter from the property which was so convenient. The bungalows are like tree houses, so there are gaps between walls and roof etc but it all adds to the charm. The net for the bed was excellent, the the air con great (if a little noisy). We didn't have mosquito issues although we do always travel with and use plug in mosquito repellers. We stayed in the monsoon season but had good weather and although there were 3 National holidays over our 4 night stay we still found there were great local places to eat within walking distance (after enjoying the delicious breakfast of course). Particularly good is the neighbouring restaurant Tha Khao bay view. Beautiful view and delicious local food - plus a private forest walkway between it and Hillhouse bungalows. Oh - and there were Hornbills all around the bungalow. This in one of those rare places that I felt genuinely sad to leave

This isn't a negative - but be conscious that the beaches are not great for swimming - it's a tidal area which has it's own beauty of an ever changing view

The views are amazing. You will be able to see lots of birds and the flowers surrounding the property are fantastic. It’s a bit further from the main restaurant areas but easily accessible by bike. We liked the nearby Bayview and other restaurants. The breakfast in the morning was great despite lack of tea options. Staff were helpful with organising with pier drop off

Unfortunately the mattresses were a real let down. We stayed 2 nights in Lek and 1 night in Glenk. The first mattress was way too hard and the next one too soft. It could use a bit more lighting in the room and the shower drain caused the bathroom floor to stay wet. Compared to the pricing of other places we booked we feel like the value for money isn’t on par. If you’re a light sleeper bring earplugs as the birds are quite noisy at night.
