Beautiful island, quiet bungalow

The property had beautiful views of the ocean and is tucked into a nice quiet part of the island. The owners, who lived on site, were incredibly helpful in setting up tours and getting us transportation as well as being lovely people! One of the nights the owners were on their porch making sweet treats and even shared some with us, they are incredibly kind, we felt like we were home. We were lucky enough to experience a rain storm while we were staying and watching it from the porch was magic. Highly recommend this stay!

Super nice owners. Very nice and clean houses with all the needed facilities. Very quite, relaxed and peaceful. For the price it is super good.

Good

Our host was lovely but didn't speak much English. We had a comfortable bed with a hot shower and the bungalow had a great view over the beach. There was a communal fridge for drinks and we hired bicycles from the hotel next door at a cost of 250 bhat per day. Two very good local restaurants, and the fish restaurant allowed you to bring in alcohol for free. This area is very unspoilt and was definitely the best sunset from our week stay on the island. There aren't any bars local to Ban Tidlay but you can get a drink the nearby resorts (they are expensive though). Best to buy beer and wine in the market and enjoy relaxing on the beach watching the sun go down with the locals! Great value for money, but you will need a scooter or bicycle to get the best out of your stay there.

Left to another place after 1 night

Location is not great but still good. You stay very close to the sea (just 20 meters). You can easily have a breakfast on the beach. The place is peaceful and quite.

Staff was enormously unfriendly. Staff doesn't speak English. So, the communication is really poor and it often leads to misunderstanding. 1) The room has a strong cleaning agent smell. If you have an allergy you may face some issues. Anyway it's not what you want to breathe when you lay so close to the sea. 2) When I was going to sleep I found out something in the bed. Then I turned the light on and saw a lot of flying ants... 3) I asked staff for a moto bike rent. She doesn't speak English. I tried google translate and she said OK. Finally she delivered 2 bicycles which I was not going to use and didn't request... And she charged me for this delivery. I took moto bike in this villa. But don't recommend. The price is the same like everywhere, but moto bike is old and small one. Later rented new Honda PCX for the same price in the other hotel. 4) Staff was enormously unfriendly. I never saw before such unfriendly person in my life. She never even smiled. When we asked her for something she couldn't understand us. Then I tried to use google translate. Then she called her boss and we discussed bed sheets and blankets...Few minutes later she suddenly came in the room and showed me a message on her phone. Google translate told me that "boss is my brother!". Still can't understand what did she mean. I booked 2 nights but left next day to another hotel where the staff is friendly and hospitable. I didn't want to spoil whole my vacation. One unlucky day is still not a whole vacation.

A little piece of paradise!

It’s difficult to explain why this place is so special, the fabulous family who run it, the beautiful location, the most wonderful view ever, the fabulous sunsets, the happy smiling locals, all just make for a memorable break away from life. The air con was brilliant, shower nice and hot, excellent wifi, comfortable bed, very reasonable price, lovely local food gifts from the host and lovely clean beach house. Like stepping back to a much better place in time! if you want ultra modern then this is not the place for you however!

Nothing I felt relaxed like I haven’t for a long time. The beach directly in front of the property can’t be swam in but wow to the view!

Great for a quiet relaxing stay

Great location away from everything! You can get a scooter at the dock or rent one at the property so it's easy to arrive. Quiet beach with beautiful sunsets. Bed, rooms, WiFi and everything great (I recommend the deluxe rooms - they're also their own unit so no noise). Owners super kind and generous bringing snacks.

Check-in responsiveness could be a bit quicker but it's a relaxed place

Everything! This is a little paradise! The owners are extremely kind and generous. We were greeted with a bouquet of roses upon arrival as it was our honeymoon! They brought us fresh fruits almost everyday! Super accommodating. Always smiling. We absolutely loved our time at Baan Tidlay! We look forward to coming back here again! Out of all the islands we have done, this is by far, our favourite!

Perfekte Unterkunft für einen angenehmen Aufenthalt auf dieser tollen Insel.

Super nette und hilfsbereite Gastgeber! Der Bungalow liegt in erster Reihe am Wasser, der kleine Balkon hat entsprechend schönen Ausblick. Die Gegend ist sehr ruhig und ideal zum Entspannen oder als Startpunkt, um die Insel zu erkunden. Mit dem Roller alles easy zu erreichen. Das Zimmer war sehr groß, einfach eingerichtet und mit einem bequemen Bett. Einschlafen mit leisem Meeresrauschen war super! Jederzeit gerne wieder, ich kann es wirklich empfehlen.

Super séjour dans une île paradisiaque

La situation exceptionnelle quasiment au bout de l île à l ouest L accueil de la dame, sa gentillesse et ses attentions elle nous a apporté des serviettes supplémentaires un soir après être rentrés en scooter sous une pluie battante.... .

Peut être l absence de petit déjeuner disponible... Même si nous avions frigo boulloire tasse et cuillères thé et café à notre disposition

De rust en de super lieve eigenaren. Toen mijn man ziek was, sprong ze meteen op de scooter om een lokaal middeltje te halen. Ze heeft ons ook naar de Pier gebracht. Zo vriendelijk en behulpzaam en ook heel alert. Ze zien alles en weten het meteen als je iets nodig hebt. Het was een ruime kamer met een prima bed en douche en een mooi uitzicht. Meer heb je niet nodig. Als je van rust houdt is dit een aanrader!
