Mount View Hakone

Dinner was very fun to experience as a foreign traveller. The onsen was very relaxing and I would recommend the experience to anyone. I recommend staying for two days to have the full experience.

I felt rushed at check in and I did not like having to book the private onsen on the spot when I arrived for additional costs. I would have preferred to do this ahead of time. The view from my room was not very grand. I looked out at another hotel and the small creek wasn't very visible either. Not as picturesque as I was hoping.

Everything it was such a great place to take my mind off and relax

The onsen

The service during the kaiseki dinner and breakfast was rude to a level I did not expect. The staff seemed bothered by even the simplest questions about what I was being served. When I asked what kind of sashimi I was eating, the waitress actually sighed and said this is sashimi. When I clarified that I wanted to know the type, she sighed again, went to check the menu, and came back with the list. Thankfully the chef eventually stepped in and explained it kindly, but the waitresses were rough and absolutely not up to standard, especially considering their English was quite poor.
