The food was the highlight, it was incredible and such good value.
The place felt a little tired? It could do with a refurb. And the public onsen was a bit underwhelming.

The onsen
The service during the kaiseki dinner and breakfast was rude to a level I did not expect. The staff seemed bothered by even the simplest questions about what I was being served. When I asked what kind of sashimi I was eating, the waitress actually sighed and said this is sashimi. When I clarified that I wanted to know the type, she sighed again, went to check the menu, and came back with the list. Thankfully the chef eventually stepped in and explained it kindly, but the waitresses were rough and absolutely not up to standard, especially considering their English was quite poor.
