Room was lovely and clean. Had a wonderful dinner - staff were extremely accomodating of my allergies. Gave me a very inclusive experience. Onsen was nice - grateful to experience it twice with warmer water.
The shower / wash-down area in onsen was cold for our session. Staff fixed it and gave us a second timeslot. Issue with other guests in our onsen second timeslot - they were in the wrong room.

Absolutely excellent food and the short hair lady during dinner was exceptional, graceful and elegant. A saving grace for our stay. We appreciated the clothes, socks and slippers provided - it really added something to the overall experience. The hot spring was also amazing and the facilities there were great.
The futon was too thin and the pillows hard. (This is not our first time sleeping on a tatami floor with a futon btw) We went to this onsen to relax (which we did after the dinner and bath) and were looking forward to a good night sleep and reset but.. that didn’t happen. Also the bathroom had a urinal smell and the wallpaper in the room had stains. Finally, we booked Mountain View room but there was a construction site under our window.

Traditional room. Provided clothing. Beautiful food. The ultimate Onsens experience. Beautiful staff.
Being up the mountain it’s further to get to from the station but that makes the views better.
