    We made the perfect choice for our Holiday and birthday celebration. Would recommend the room with private bath. The large bath (onsen) was very clean and complete with hair dryers, hygiene kit, etc. I wish to send Hotel Morinokaze my gratitude and appreciation for making our stay memorable and one of a kind experience. We love the hotel.

    This was by far our favorite hoet of the trip ( our only splurge this triybut worth it) The staff was very friendly, we used the shuttle service from Gora and back which was great There is a bus stop right outside the hotel and it was very convenient to start/ finish the Hakone loop The grass fields are a short walk from the hotel and were beautiful with the morning sun The food was a wonderful experience and for my picky eater (8) they made adjustments

    This is one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. In terms of cleanliness, there is absolutely nothing to criticize – everything is spotless. The view is stunning, and the garden with Japanese maples, beautifully lit in the evening, looks truly special. The onsen area has a wonderfully relaxing and luxurious atmosphere, with everything you could possibly need. Every detail is designed to provide maximum comfort. Breakfast and dinner are at a true 5-star restaurant level – I enjoyed dishes I hadn’t come across during my two weeks in Tokyo and Kyoto. The staff are friendly, though their English is quite limited, and most use voice translation apps to communicate. The menus are only in Japanese. Another small inconvenience is that they don’t provide adapters for European plugs. That said, these are very minor issues compared to the overall experience. Staying at this ryokan was without a doubt the best choice I could have made.

    Only 3 tables are occupied during dinner on weekday, the staff arranged us to sat next to another table with guests, the guests on the next table talked very loud for over 1 hour during the dinner. Average food for dinner and breakfast, a bit below standard. There is a 7-seat car parked outside the hotel, but the staff told me that I need to book the shuttle bus one day in advance on the first day and 2 day. Won’t stay there again.
