Great Japanese experience with the traditional breakfast and dinner and dressing up
Staff were all exceptional
A bit tired - meaning it needed bit of TLC and no lounge to sit on in our unit

both of our rooms had outdoor onsen looking out into a green secluded garden. the traditional japanese meals - dinner and breakfast - were amazing!
if I had to pick one thing it would be the pillows, however, it was a traditional japanese room with traditional bedding so I wouldn't have expected it be the same as in a western hotel

Very close to bus stop if you get the Hakone free pass. The rooms were so lovely and private onsen were amazing! Also breakfast and 24/7 free drinks bar were the best. Highly recommend!
Traditional beds were a bit uncomfortable and pillows were very flat.

Room was worn down, marks all over the walls etc.
breakfast was not nice, we opted out for our second morning.
Location was 50 mins bus from Odawara and buses were packed, also another 20 mins then to get to the main Hakone sights, overall ok if you don’t plan on going out much but not convenient otherwise.
