I felt the public onsen was very small and the hotel is very close to the road and road noise which was surprising. I also expected a garden or grounds to wander around to spend the day at the Ryokan but there weren't any.

Location, facilities, amenities and the cleanliness were splendid! I absolutely loved it as well as the staff was incredibly friendly and polite!

The food was amazing, the breakfasts were good but the dinners were exceptional, the abalone will be the highlight of my trip to Japan. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and the private onsen was of a good size allowing for use by a couple. The public onsen was also great, with both an indoor section and an outdoor section, shower stalls and also an area to blow-dry hair, moisturize etc.

There would be nothing to complain about. I would highly recommend staying here

The room was large and the beds were reasonably comfortable. However, the property felt neglected and poorly maintained in many details. There were cobwebs around the windows in the private onsen area, and the windows had no mosquito screens, making it difficult to open them without insects flying inside. The stairs leading to the room were very dirty, and the exterior of the building also appeared poorly maintained. The food was not to our taste, although that may simply be because we are not familiar with or particularly fond of this style of cuisine. One of the biggest disappointments was the onsen. The water was chlorinated and artificially heated. If you are looking for a traditional onsen experience, I would recommend checking carefully whether the baths use natural spring water without artificial circulation or heavy treatment. The hotel emphasizes that the water comes from hot springs, but as a guest it is difficult to know exactly how much processing is involved. While the price was not particularly high for a large room with a private onsen, I would personally prefer to pay more for a higher standard. Based on the Booking.com rating, I expected a much better experience and was surprised by the overall level of cleanliness and maintenance. I honestly do not understand how the property achieved such high review scores.
