The private onsen in the house was amazing and truly a unique experience. The house itself is a beautiful, stylish traditional Japanese home—very atmospheric and memorable.

Unfortunately, the service was the worst we’ve experienced in Japan. Only one set of towels was provided for a two-night stay, with no extra towels for the onsen. The kitchen was equipped but missing even basic essentials like salt and pepper; when we politely asked the host, they refused with the excuse that they don’t provide food. Wi-Fi did not work and mobile coverage in the area was very poor. The futons were thin and uncomfortable, and the pillows/blankets had strange black spots that looked like mold—definitely not acceptable for this price range. Communication with the host was slow and unpleasant, and although they agreed to a small refund (1,000 JPY), I had to manage it myself and still don’t know if I’ll actually receive it.

It's kind a little remote for people without their own cars.
