SYLA HOTEL 箱根強羅 West - SYLA HOTEL HAKONE GORA West

滞在に必要なものがそろっていて快適に過ごせました。大人数での宿泊やこどもが一緒に向いています。ただ、階段の登り降りをする必要があるので、お年寄りにはあまりおすすめしません。

お風呂の自動で貯める機能が壊れており、お湯が漏れてしまったこと。

You could not ask for a better location. The hotel is located a mere steps away from Gora Station, which is a major station connecting to the Hakone Tozan Railway and the Hakone Tozan Cable Car & Ropeway. Gora itself is a great location for those who wish to explore Hakone. There are plenty of onsens, cafes, and restaurants around, and it is a well-connected jump-off location to other places within the Hakone area. The hotel itself is split into 4 units of villas. We stayed at one of the West ones and it had great facilities and amenities. The villa had ample bedding (both regular beds and futons) which were all comfortable. The kitchen was complete with all the necessary appliances, utensils and cutlery, enough for our family of six to use. The villa was spotless and clean and it was very cozy. Our family particularly liked the warm lighting and the earth tones of the villa, it made our stay very homey and comfortable.

The apartment was close to the station and consist of 2 bedrooms, that’s rare for Japan

I’ve paid the half- board (breakfast and dinner included) but I was very surprised and disappointed that I need to cook myself (from the products left in the fridge) and then to clean everything after the dinner. Nobody warned me before arrival. The price was extremely high (the highest price of 7 hotels where we stayed in Japan in our 10 days visit) for such “service” when I need to cook and clean myself! Never met such sort of hotels before. Also the airco didn’t work properly and it was too hot and then too cold inside.
