Idyllic hotel with friendly staff, beautiful view and a good breakfast

- Very friendly staff. The boss patiently explained the advantages of the accommodation and which restaurants were highlights nearby. - The location. The accommodation was right on the water. Quiet and idyllic. - The breakfast was delicious and the room was spacious and comfortable.

- The hotel is a few kilometers away from Galway Downtown.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If I Could Give 6 Stars, I Would! Absolutely Exceptional Stay Our stay at Sea Breeze Lodge in Galway was beyond incredible — truly one of the best places we’ve ever stayed! From the moment we arrived, Fred and Michelle were the most warm, welcoming, and genuine hosts you could ever hope to meet. Fred even drove us to a local pub on our first night — such a thoughtful gesture that set the tone for the rest of our stay. The room was absolute perfection: a heavenly king-sized bed, skylights, a luxurious bathroom with a tub (a rare treat in guest houses), and every thoughtful detail imaginable — from a mini fridge stocked with milk and cream, to fresh fruit, snacks, coffee, and tea, all complimentary. The in-room sound system that connects to your phone was the cherry on top, letting us unwind to our own music in comfort. Everything was immaculately clean, beautifully designed, and filled with warmth — from the cozy ambiance to the soft piano music playing through the main floor. Breakfast was out of this world — my gluten-free blueberry pancakes were absolutely divine! Fred even treated us to his own live piano playing one morning, which made the experience extra special. They also offer a laundry service, which was so convenient during our travels. Fred and Michelle are not just amazing hosts — they are the heart and soul of the Sea Breeze Lodge, and we truly left feeling like we’d made lifelong friends. If there were a rating higher than five stars, this place would deserve it. An unforgettable stay in every way — we can’t wait to come back!

Fred the proprietor puts so much TLC into the accommodations - fresh flowers and fresh fruit every day. Breakfasts were wonderful! Loved eating in their lovely sunroom. Needed our laundry done and they handled that 100% for us. Got our clothes back the same day.

Wonderful stay in Galway

Wonderful place to stay, in the Salthill area of Galway. A very attractive neighbourhood with a lovely (if not long) walk into the centre of Galway. Our room was very comfortable and included a basket of fruit, cheese and biscuits, nuts, drink and water. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice in regard to fruit, yoghurt, pastries and there was a menu for a cooked breakfast. Michelle and Fred were delightful hosts and if you ask him nicely, Fred will play his piano for you!!!!

We liked the location. Much quieter than busy Galway. Fred is a very attentive host. This includes a comfortable room, delicious breakfast, lovely amenities in your room AND if you're lucky you may catch him playing the piano.

This is a wonderful b&b with wonderful hosts.

Loved the personal touches; for example, the pastries are made in house and breakfast is cooked by a French chef to order. The bed was the best- if I could only take it on the plane. Best of all was the staff. They are wonderfully responsive and went out of their way to solve a problem I had created for myself. Highly recommend.

Definitely book this gem!

This was our absolute favorite place we stayed while in Ireland (and we stayed in 7!). The hosts were warm and friendly, had helpful suggestions about the area, and thought of every detail to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Our room was lovely and clean with beautiful views of the water and the breakfast was delicious. My whole family loved and highly recommends the Sea Breeze Lodge.

The Sea Breeze is an absolute gem! Michelle was a phenomenal host and the delightful team thought of and did everything to make our stay lovely. From a welcome cocktail to a fruit bowl in our room to a hearty and delicious breakfast, this felt like staying with a friend. The facilities are very comfortable and very clean.

Great Experience - highly recommend!!

Michelle greeted us and gave us great recommendations for dinner cos by. She showed us the room which had everything you could ask for. She supplied us with a full hearty and delicious breakfast to eat before we headed out for the drive to the airport at 6:15am. Exceeded all expectations and would highly recommend.

you need to understand the checkin is from 4-7. We did lots of sightseeing and there is a chance we would not have made it there by 7. Lucky for us it was not an issue.

The room was spacious and comfortable. The owners stocked the mini fridge with drinks, cheese, crackers and left a fruit bowl, mixed nuts, sweets and coffee/tea. The bouquet of flowers was an inviting touch. The breakfast and room it was served in was lovely!

Everything was wonderful, however, the soda that was left for us in the fridge was all zero with aspartame. It wasn’t a huge deal as we are not big soda drinkers.

Great place to stay near city nightlife and restaurants and great access to west Galway and Mayo

My wife and I stayed 3 nights at Theis fabulous bed and breakfast hotel. The owners attend to every possible detail including fresh roses in the room, complimentary snacks, drinks and fresh fruit, binoculars so one can view the Galway bay up close AND an incredible home cooked breakfast with fresh squeezed orange juice. The room was very clean and looked brand new. We will definitely stay in this fine hotel again

This accommodation was exceptional. Lots of nice little touches. A fresh fruit bowl, replenished daily, soft drinks (complimentary). Absolutely nothing was too much trouble. Freddie and Michelle were the perfect hosts. The breakfast was lovely and plenty of choice. If you’re very lucky, as we were, Freddie is an accomplished pianist and played whilst we had breakfast. Absolutely nothing to complain about here!

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at the Sea Breeze. The property was lovely, room clean and spacious, the breakfast delicious and the location perfect - the neighbourhood was so relaxing to be in and a quick walk takes you along the ocean for beautiful scenery. Fred was a pleasure to converse with and we loved hearing his story - if you want the personal touch and to feel a bit of home away from home, this place is for you!

This B&B was the mist relaxing place we stayed while in Ireland for 10 days.

The room was very clean. The bed was very comfortable. There was plenty of natural light coming on the room due to the skylights which were adjustable and equipped with shades. The bathroom was clean and tastefully appointed. There was Wi-Fi in the room and a wonderful speaker system in place to enjoy music. The breakfasts were delicious and there was a good variety of food to pick from.The hosts did everything to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend the Sea Breeze B&B.

Exceptional Experience

We wish we had more time to enjoy Fred (and his teams) warm hospitality. Everything was perfect, from the warm greeting we received when checking in, to the special touches that ensure a very comfortable stay (bonuses like robes, sound system in the room, extra fluffy towels, soft drinks, snacks and high quality toiletries). Everything was well thought out to ensure the comfort of the guests. I should also mention the breakfast as it was fabulous, including some homemade treats made by Michelle. Truly a 5+ star experience. I would recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay while in Galway. Thank you to Fred and his team for exceeding our expectations and making our stay so very lovely.
