Excellent Hotel

Ive stayed in the Ardiluan many times when Ive had appointments in Galway. It is always excellent. The bar food is very good abd staff friendly. I always feel at ease there.

Lovely setting, close to city centre, pool facilities

Needs some love, outside needs to be painted (green algae) clearly visible. The halls in the bedrooms need updating. Noticed a lot of stray paint on fixtures and furnishings. Asked the lady cleaning the rooms on our floor for more towels, she took the room number and said she would drop them down but they never came.

Absolutely Freezing

There wasn't anything about this hotel that I liked after hearing such great things about it.

We checked in at 4pm and went to our room where we found a large window wide open facing the sea and it was absolutely freezing in the room 12th October we tried turning on the heat but it wouldn't come on ,by 7pm we were so cold we had to leave the hotel to heat ourselves in the car . Asked at reception what time do they turn the heating on was told 8pm which they did but it went off again at 10pm 🤷 ended up checking out at 7am just to be able to get warm in the car. Also not so much as a bottle of water in the rooms.

Breakfast offered a good range of options. A great variety of choices.

We wanted a leisurely start to the day so arrived for breakfast after 9am. The hot food had been kept warm for a while so was dry and tough to eat. Didn’t have a walk in shower. Bath was deep and made showering difficult . We were disappointed that the only choice to dine in the evening was the bistro. I wanted to dine in the restaurant which was only available to coach tourists.

The Devil is in the details

The staff were freindly, the grounds were nice. The room was a decent size.

the room was too hot, we had to open the window and leave it open all night. There was only shampoo and no conditioner, not good enough for a 4-star hotel. They really need to brush up on the small details, as the whole hotel needs a reno to modernise and truly pass as a four-star hotel. In its current condition, it is lucky to get 3 stars.

Very nice for a short visit to Galway and Salthill

The room was spacious and clean. The pool and jacuzzi were excellent, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was delicious

The grounds of the property are pretty and the common spaces very nice. The location is convenient if you have a vehicle.

Our rooms were dated. Needed more convenient electrical outlets/USB ports. Our window had signs of mold and duct tape was used around the frame.

Nice hotel, just a little worn out around the edges,

Food was good. Restaurant staff nice but seemed a bit inexperienced. Rooms were nice and big. Cleaning of room was good. Front desk staff- nice & attentive.

Carpet and floors in hallways and stairs were filthy. The elevator floor was really nasty. You need signage to tell guests to be quiet in hallways around rooms after 9pm and before 9 am. Really loud guests right near our door at 6am.

Good clean hotel with a convenient location

Upon arrival, we were a little early. While I parked the car, my wife asked a lady if we could check in early. Her reply was no, not until 4pm. When I came into the hotel, I asked a young man if he had somewhere they could store our bags until check in. He asked my name and looked up our booking. He then stated, oh, your room is ready, we can check you in now.

Great weekend away.

Excellent hotel..superb staff..great food and drinks. Very close to city..we walked to Spanish Arch in 20 minutes. And all the great bars and restaurants in the Westend streets. Breakfast very good too. Loads of staff and all very helpful. Would definitely stay again.

We loved it and extended our stay

Beds super comfortable, modern decor and clean. Restaurant on site very handy because hotel not close enough to shops. Reasonably priced re food, and delicious high quality. Venue has a big turnover due to wedding bookings, hence fresh food and top quality services.

Nothing, location would be inconvenient if you don’t have a car but there is a bus service very nearby - which is a good idea due to limited parking spaces in town

This was a beautiful hotel; away from the noise of downtown but easily accessible

Our stay was for 2 nights as part of vacation. The room was clean and spacious with a comfy bed. We had a wonderful breakfast in the restaurant as an add on to our stay. The bar/lounge area is great (although can be quite crowded at times) but overall a very pleasant atmosphere. We took a car to town as it is a bit out of the way; but the trade off is for the quiet ambiance!

The windows in our room overlooked the dumpster; as in looked directly into the dumpster; not sure how you can fix that unless it had a roof :) Could use more seating in the lounge area for nights when it is crowded

Couldn't wait to leave it, for the price we paid for the 3 nights we expected alot better

The staff and food was brilliant.

Had to get transport to go to salthill and galway itself, room had a really bad smell in it every time we went into it, we did mention it and they did come and clean it but the smell was still there, there was white powder under the chest of drawer and under the bed. They did come clean it up. Also thought our phone was broke as both chargers wouldn't work, but wen we got home the same charger is working so the plugs wasn't working either

Wonderful Hotel

It had a wonderful character and the staff were excellent. Especially Emma in the restaurant who made us feel very welcome. The quality of the dishes was excellent.

Older style hotel, well appointed and useful location, lots of parking & lift access to rooms. Great restaurant opening hours. Good breakfast. Awesome seafood chowder!

Older fitout, getting a little bit tatty. Cleanliness not quite up to par. Corridors are endless. If you have walking issues, make sure you request a room as close to the reception as possible otherwise 200m+ corridor walk is possible.
