Everything was spotless and tidy, they cleaned and made the bed every day. Now, the breakfast. It was outstanding, varied and fresh with options for cooked breakfast such us "irish" and so on.

great location, nice place, art about the place is a welcome touch

The room was convenient walk to restaurants in Kinsale, and a good location to pop in to Cork for some music, then get back out of the business for the rest of your stay. the hosts were friendly and we adored meeting the new dog, Shirley (who was not wandering the house - but contained back in the office. She was so adorable and friendly).

Location, great to walk. Into the city centre, room was spacious, seats and table as well as the bed, great shower, able to regulate room temperature, able to open a window, loads of power points, large bed with space for cases underneath, nice breakfast, parking.

The staff were excellent - very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast had a decent selection of choice although we feel the cooked breakfasts could have been slightly bigger portions. The free parking was a nice bonus and it's location for getting into Galway city centre was pretty handy.

The noise: our room was by the main road so the sounds from traffic and people passing by really disrupted our sleep. You could also hear the gusts in the room above in terms of footsteps thumping overhead. You could even hear them using the toilet which was rather unpleasant. I think they generally tried to be quiet but it was annoying. Despit blackout blinds there was also a lot of light coming into the room from street lights - made wors when the porch lights were left on too for later arriving gusts etc

The bed(single)was very nice like maybe brand new. The shower was very nice. Lots of hot water and terrific pressure. The breakfast was very nice and quick. With four options, made to order. I was visiting a relative in University Hospital... 5 minutes on foot

Homey and friendly stay

The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is cooked to order and tasty. The room was spacious. I really liked that it was in a residential area which was a little more peaceful, but still only about 5-10 minutes' walk to restaurants, pubs, and the shore, and 10-15 minutes' walk to the center. It was homey rather than fancy.

We were in the front of the house on the ground floor and the traffic noise was a little loud. I think a room towards the back would be perfect.

Lovely Guest House, recommend

It was lovely, and the staff was so accommodating and welcoming. It was well located, a nice walk from the centre by the channel, we could even spot some otters! It was clean and breakfast was very good. Highly recommend!

Nice bed and breakfast located just a 10 minute walk from the Latin Quarter. Room was comfortable, clean and spacious. Breakfast was good. Staff were pleasant and friendly.

Bring your own toiletries. I think there was soap but no shampoo or conditioner.

Fantastic stay at Desota Bed & Breakfast!

The entire staff was incredibly welcoming, and the room was ideal for two, featuring a spacious shower and a mini fridge, which is great for extended stays! I really appreciated the aesthetic of the building both inside and out. The breakfast was tasty, and the location was just right for walking to nearly everything!

My partner and I thought that we could request a room cleaning or tidying, and if we didn't, no one would enter our room. Don't get me wrong; we were grateful that someone did come in, but we weren't given any notice. I would recommend putting a simple sign on the door so guests can indicate whether they would like someone to come in and clean or if they prefer not to have it done.

The breakfast and great location were the biggest perks! About 10-15mins walk from downtown.

The bathroom a little small and doesn’t have amenities so remember to bring your own toiletries such as shampoo, lotion etc.

Small compact city centre with lovely walks along the coast.

Bed was comfortable, room size OK with a newly installed en suite. Car parking on site a bonus and warm welcome from staff and good breakfast choice. Short walk into city centre so location also good.

We were at the front of the property and found the road noise , up until 1.30pm on Saturday night, quite intrusive. There is a large hospital further up the road and this may account for some of it.

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The location was excellent, close to everything we needed and quiet, and the breakfast was varied and delicious.

The room we got was smaller than expected. The photos on Booking gave the impression that it would be more spacious, so that was a bit disappointing
