Disappointing.

Location was good.

Quality of breakfast was poor - no fresh bread; instant coffee; tasteless cold cuts and cheese; cold pancakes - everything seemed to be done to save time and limit work. Stayed 2 nights - no house keeping whatsoever. Room was not particularly clean and carpet needed a good wash.

Overall pleasant

Good breakfast though not much choice for vegetarians and my two friends were vegetarians.

The fact that there was no lift and we had to climb two stories with luggage to reach our room . Difficult for people with knee issues.

Excellent stay.

Vinny was amazing! His recommendations for food and activities were spot on. He planned one whole day in Galway for us. He always checked in and was super knowledgeable about the area. Also, Lisheen Lodge is in a great location between downtown Galway and Salt Hill!

Warm, friendly welcome from our host, Vinny, who gave great suggestions for local pubs and activities. Communication with Lisheen Lodge very good. Nice continental breakfast. Tastefully renovated and decorated property.

This is where you want to stay.

Immaculately clean and beautiful. In a quiet neighborhood that was within walking distance of City Center. Public bus stop only 2 blocks away. Breakfasts were amazing! What made this property even more amazing was the host, Vinny. There are not enough stars to give to him. I am traveling with my elderly mother and Vinny went out of his way to assist in her comfort and enjoyment of Galway. When I return to Galway, I will return to this lodge with fond memories.

Lovely Stay

This may have been our favorite place to stay during our trip to Ireland, which is saying a lot because we visited some great places! It felt like visiting a friend in Galway - seeing their lovely home, being welcomed with chocolates, and having a delicious breakfast before heading out to explore. Vinny was incredibly welcoming and helpful with recommendations, and we were also fortunate to meet his lovely friend Ciarán who helped us check-out on our last day.

Vinny was fantastic and was sure to have breakfast ready for us at an agreed time each morning, property on a quiet street but still a short walk to city centre, comfy bed, plenty of recommendations provided too :) would stay again!

Everything about this hotel was perfect. Great room, amazing location. The breakfasts were delicious and offered a great variety each morning. The host was incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. Thank you for a wonderful stay in Galway!

Decent location, pleasant owner but disappointing stay.

Owner was nice. Quiet location, yet walkable to center of town and ocean. Quaint.

Beds were uncomfortable. Cramped for 3. No where to put one’s belongings Not one hook in the bathroom for a wet towel to be hung. Bathroom toilet lid was ill fitted. Too small for the bowl and lopsided. One shelf over the small sink that was sloped downward, making it difficult to wash up/brush teeth etx. Areas of red mold in shower stall. Automatic light that went on in the bathroom if movement in the room was sensed was annoying if one of us walked by their bed while others were sleeping. NO WIFI!!! It is a shame because with a tweak of some of these amenities it could easily become a perfect stay but as is would not recommend this place.

Great position close to the centre of town. Vinny was fantastic! Even made us a nice pot of tea which I really appreciated after a long days driving. Really good breakfast which was an added bonus!! Would highly recommend!!

Would love a kettle in the room to make a cuppa but Vinny was exceptionally obliging which made up for it.

Delightful

We'd never stayed in somewhere that felt like a traditional BnB, but Linsheen Lodge provided this and more. The room was very comfortable and beautifully presented, our host was great and the breakfast had such a wonderful personal touch. It was walking distance to the town centre and to the seaside.

There was miscommunication over the checkout time which differed on their info sheet vs the booking.com app which left us leaving in a bit of a panic so they could clean the room ready for the next guest. Check both and clarify with the host!

A fantastic place to stay where you feel well looked after!

It’s quite close to the city centre, and even closer to Grattan Beach and Salthill. My room was well proportioned, had lovely decor and everything worked well. Breakfast was really substantial. And the owner was super helpful and accommodating. I would definitely recommend staying here.
