Lovely, stylish old villa near the Lake

The receptionist was very kind and also the service in the bar.

The cleaning staff started to clean with the vacuum cleaner on Saturday morning, very loud(!!) at ca. 7:15 in the next door room. It was very annoying. They also pushed furniture around very loud.

A delightful small boutique hotel in a beautiful location

Our rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff (mostly young women) were super friendly and helpful. We especially enjoyed the breakfast: Cappuccino, artisan cheeses and breads, homemade muesli (granola), and eggs en cocotte. We loved the location next to beautiful Lake Lucerne and enjoyed walking along the lake to the Old Town and train station. Our rooms had a terrace with a lake view which we didn't spend much time on because of the weather.

As an artist, I didn't like the decor. While the old fashioned wallpaper is appropriate for this older building, the addition of contemporary nonobjective paintings and such color combinations as magenta with jungle green - YIKES!

Great location!!

Great location, wonderful views, easy walk into Lucerne. Staff very helpful especially over parking issues when we arrived, good breakfast! Room had double aspect so views to the lake and to Lucerne

Room a little basic, would have been good to have a fridge and coffee/ tea available in the room rather than group arrangement one floor down, no safe! Also too warm for the radiator so a stay of 3 nights could have done with fresh towels daily as no means of drying them.

Location great, everything else not so great

The outside of the property was lovely, reception and dining room decorated in a lovely old style to match the building

The horrible decoration in the rest of the hotel that I could see, maybe some sort of ‘modern art’ old phones screwed to the wall, our room was painted gold, on the old beams and in the bathroom, terrible. The room was tiny, not even able to get out of each side of the bed. It had a really large air con unit that was not working sat in the very small room. Breakfast was the most meagre of our 18 day trip in Europe The only thing going for this place is the location and the lovely reception staff

A wonderful stay

Loved the location across from a gorgeous park with a swimming spot that was ideal in the hot weather. The hotel is decorated in a quirky, fabulous style and the staff were lovely.

The bathroom was small and the frosted glass walls didn’t provide all the privacy you might desire. The breakfast provided limited cooked items but still enjoyed it on the terrace. The restaurant was booked out both nights and would have liked a heads up to book a table.

The weather was very hot which is not a factor that can be controlled . The shower was small and at floor level without a tub or rim so water got in bathroom . Not a big deal but something to add - not all rooms are like this !

Delightfully Charming Stay with Artistic touches

A fun, well-designed hotel with clever details, and an artistic touch. Located near the water and the wonderful esplanade for walking and restaurants. Our room was very quiet and comfortable. The hotel and room is spotless. A nice dining area and outdoor patio area for relaxing. Charming all around. In a very friendly staff.

Victoria made our visit perfect & The location was the best.

Victoria was extremely helpful, kind as well as professional in every way. She assisted us with an additional nights stay, helped us transfer rooms, assisted with luggage so many considerations which truly made a difference in our stay. We will certainly return should we find ourselves back in Lucerne. The location was perfect ! Walking into old town was easy and pleasant. 5 Stars

Attractive hotel by Lake Lucerne

Very nice staff. The attractive decor was very appealing . There was a toy monkey in the room which was cute and quirky. Pretty location across the road from the lake.

I had one of the rooms which had a shower in the room and toilet down the hall. The toilet was your own and unlocked with your room key. That was fine, just don't forget to take it with you. I did have a little trouble with the shower as I am an older person. I would have liked a grab rail to use when getting in and out. Of course it is hard to retrofit old buildings like this. I only mention it as a guide for people like me.

+ Cute concept, refurbishing an old hotel + hotel is in walking distance to old town - cold personal - especially the guy at check-in -> we missed some warm-heartedness with this overall Marketing - Bathroom need some desperate make-over and cleaning, there was quite a bit of hair from the previous guests and some weird things on the walls, no clue what they did…

Location was great, across from the lake, town was walkable but there was a bus stop outside as well. Parking available nearby.

No AC so it was very warm in the room and being on a main road, it was excessively noisy with the window open

Vintage hotel, easy to travel to, and great view.

Great location right at the lake. I traveled from the Lucerne train station to the hotel by bus, and it was very easy. The building is vintage, but the room was very clean. Its restaurant has a fantastic view, and the old elevator was fun to ride (although small space). Overall, it's worth its price.

pretty home with lake view

lovely heritage house with nice lake view very homey and good distance to city center. close but not in crowded place .. . i really enjoy to walk along by the lake . This is my third time visit Lucern so far for location of hotel I always looking for this area. Bfast.is good even not so complete full bfast , its good . Thanks for chocolate in the rooms 🍫😍

Lovely hotel and excellent views supported by fantastic staff.

Fantastic location with great friendly helpful staff, and nothing was too much trouble for the staff if we needed anything. Good selection of cold cheeses and breads for breakfast and the poached eggs were amazing. 😋

Tea and coffee facilities in the room would be great and also a dressing table. As the heating was permanently on, we had to keep the window open so it was noisy.

Hotel 'Beau Sejour' is located in Front of the Lake, next to the promenade (and playground) , a 10-15min walk to the City center / Verkehrshaus. Perfect for us as a family! The family room (divided but connected in 2 Different rooms) has great confortable beds/Duvet/cushion and everything else that is needed. The Hotel Crew is super friendly, helpful, we felt a strong familiar atmosphere, Like 'at home'. Breakfast highly recommend, especially the 'oeuf cocette'. All very fresh, no Food waste! A perfect stay for a family but I would also recommend to go as couple Or single person!

The walls are thin, depending on the neighbors it can be quite loud next door.

Excellent location, room inside temperature very comfortable

No fridge in room for a 4* hotel, no close wardrobe. And a very, very poor breakfast. Actually, 1 strange tip of egg boiled in a same time with some cheese or bacon. And one egg/person. No ham, no omelette, no yogurt, no olives, no salami, no scrambled eggs, etc. I was so disappointed...
