Hotel Münzgasse - Self Check-in

Property is in an excellent location!

Top floor room. Fan only helped slightly. Room got quite hot. Wasn’t the best for sleeping. Zero ventilation in the toilet room as well. Also, pillows were not great… WAY too soft. my head was swallowed up by the pillow.

Great location, close to station and lake. Room was clean and tidy. Check in process was easy at the property. Rooms exactly as pictured in the listing. Lift access up to rooms was great (4 steps to get to lift)

There is no front desk or lobby at this property but there is a staff member you can contact on site and leave your luggage if you arrive prior to check-in and find your room still unavailable. Our rom was fair size and generally comfortable, a bit more boutique than functional. Bed was comfy, there was a small wall table and chair, safe, spacious bathroom and ok space to hang clothing items and left luggage bags. Shower worked great. TV Streaming through your own devices possible. Wifi worked fine throughout our stay. Note, there is no A/C, unfortunately, our higher level room took in a lot of sunlight during the hot summer days when we were there. By mid afternoons, it became brutally hot even when using the heavy curtains to block out the light. Room included a spinning floor fan to help keep room temps reasonable. P

Unfortunately, even after dropping our bags off early and seeing our booking reservation on the staff list, we had some trouble later on trying to register at the check-in machine, which didn't recognise our name for reservation. Fortunately, it did recognise our booking.com confirmation number with the same name. Weird. Anyway, best to have your hotel confirmation numbers ready to go as well when you arrive at the property. Room included TV mostly German channels. English (BBC and the likes) channels didn't work in our room Our room included a kettle but no coffee or tea packets, which was odd and opportunity to for a quick and cheap improvement. It gets really hot in the upper floor rooms during the hot summer days. Floor fan provided helps but be ready to sweat in your room. We had to take a few rounds of quick cold showers during the late afternoons to keep reasonably cool in our room.
