Very Happy Travellers

Superb location. We popped in and out of the hotel all day on our walks around. Room had everything we needed including a kettle with tea. Lovely comfy bed, pillows and soft towels in the bathroom. Didn't get chance to use the sauna etc so will have to go back. Lounge area in reception was very comfy where quality coffee or tea was available free of charge. Staff were super friendly and welcoming with wealth of knowledge a d spoke English Fluently.

Wonderful stay with friendly and welcoming front desk staff

First and foremost, we were met with the friendliest front desk person after a very long day of travel - this makes such a difference and everything was perfect anyway but even if it hadn't been I think I'd still be inclined to give a high review. The morning desk person was super friendly and kind as well. Room was clean, very, very quiet (esp given the amazing location in the middle of it all...), comfortable, etc. This is a very sweet hotel and it's clear a lot of care and thought has been put into everything. A wonderful value too! PS Lucerne earns its reputation as one of the world's most beautiful cities. It's stunning. Visit there.

Shower head was mounted on the low side (I'm 5'10" tall) but that was a teeny tiny thing that would absolutely not keep me from staying again (and pressure, temperature, etc were just great).

Cozy hotel right in the heart of Luzern

Cozy, welcoming, comfortable, good value for money, centrally located. Coffee for free at the reception. Luggage room available the whole day. Sofa and armchairs, large shared terrace.

Personnel talking too loud in the morning all over the place, as if they would like you to wake-up and leave (09:00 am). No breakfast available. No coffee in the room.

Excellent!

I like that is super clean and well maintained and the staff were so pleasant helpful and simply welcoming. Las was the one who waited for us to be the last person to be checked in while Sandy who was there at the check out.. i really love the place it is so cozy and near to almost everything except that i was a bad weather we went to luzern and we need to cut the trip short... but if i get a chance to comeback this will be a place to stay! Hundred %

The heater was not fully at the highest temperature that time i was sooo cold in 201! Maybe because it was too cold outside and i did not bother to inform the receptionist as they are closed until 9pm

Comfortable stay

The family room was comfortable for our group of 4 friends. The washroom was spacious. Less than 10 minutes walk from Chapel Bridge and 2 mins walk to nearest bus stand. The reception staff was very warm. They even let us keep our luggage for a while after checkout. Would recommend this place. The coffee machine at reception was a bonus. 🙂

Helpful staff gave us local recommendations for dining and sightseeing to a place that was not previously known to us. Room was clean and comfortable. Location was good. Appreciated secure luggage storage.

Small but convenient hotel

Location was convenient as it is from walkable distance from Lucerne Station, there are lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Also located near Chapel bridge and Lion Monument. Staff were very nice and provided us with the Lucerne Tourist card

Didn't have aircon, even though we opened the windows at night, it was quite warm and very noisy. The bathroom were big but a bit old. Lifts are so small we had to take turn going up as there was not enough space for both people and suitcases.

Perfect location and option for what our family needed and very very good service.

The location was ideal and the pool was just right for our short stay. The room was a little small but clean. At first the wifi didn't work but the host was amazing in getting that going. Overall very happy.

The tv didn't work which wasn't a big deal for us but if it is, it may be something you consider or check ahead of time.

Our room was good, my sisters room was horrible.

Our room on the second floor was nice. Nothing fancy, but nice and large enough for two people. We enjoyed a door out to the patio which we took advantage of.

It was not fair. My sister and her husband also stayed when we visited Lucerne. We paid the same amount for both our rooms and she was on the 5th floor. In the attic. She showed us her room. It was awful. I would never have accepted the room. I would have gone back to the desk and demanded another room or a refund and gone somewhere else. Beware if you stay at this hotel. Do not accept a room on the 5th floor!

Very nice and cozy hotel in Old Town, close to everything! The room was spacious and comfortable! Staff is friendly, and they make some tasty coffee downstairs, free for their guests :)

Comfortable stay in Lucerne and great location.

Great location. Clean. Helpful staff. There is a lift which is an added bonus. The pool looked lovely. Overall a decent place to rest our heads after a long day of sightseeing. We would stay again.

Aircon worked well in the double room with terrace but not so well in quadruple room (probably needs a bigger unit for that room).

Great option in central Lucerne

Baslertor hotel is a great option for staying in Lucerne's downtown, right in the heart of the action at a reasonable price. We took a big room for 8 people and it was wide enough and comfortable. Cleanliness is a most. The swimming pool is an extra bonus. Would come back again with big pleasure.

It is a shame that no breakfast is served at the hotel, but there are plenty of bars and coffee shops around.

Great hotel in the heart of Luzern

Great swimming pool (biggest advantage during heat wave), cosy family room with enough space for all 4 people and luggage, excellent staff. We could use the swimming pool before check in time (there are towels and bathrooms provided for the swimming area). Best possible location, only 10 min walk from the train station.

The portable ac had to dangling out the window, so the window stayed open all night with constant street noise and mosquitoes coming in. The blackout shades only blocked half the windows, you could read by the street lights. The pool also had very limited hours.

The location is fantastic. Very close to the Jesuit Church and Chapel Bridge. Staff were friendly and professional. The hotel is stylish and clean.

The double room was very small. The smallest hotel room I have ever stayed in. It was ok for 2 nights but I wouldn't recommend for a longer stay. It can feel cramped.

Excellent!

This is our favorite hotel of whole trip in Switzerland. The pool area lovely and private with 2 outdoor seating areas. Our family room was good for family of 4 with wonderful air conditioning! The front desk staff and manager were very helpful and willing to go above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. The location is lovely with great restaurants nearby. It felt very safe. Fantastic stay.
