The room we had was nothing like the picture that we had reserved. It was a lot smaller than the original picture. They also had a policy that you cannot check in to until 1500 hrs. even if you are early and the room is available. There was an elevator available to be used but no sighs indicating as to where it was, thus we had to carry our luggage up and down several chairs. The elevator was found by accident on the ground floor and it would have been very helpful at the time of check in. The kitchen was on not really suitable for use. With only two medium sized plates, bowls and two sets of kfs. There were 2 coffee cups but there was no kettle to make coffee or a toaster. Eventually we did get a kettle and toaster though. Since there were only two hot plates there was a frying pan and large pot. Don't how the hotel staff thought how we could actually use the kitchen but we did. There also was not microwave. When you are out touring the area every day, it would have been nice to be able to make something quick for dinner. The hotel was clean and the cleaning staff were helpful. The best part about the hotel was its location to the transportation hub which was on 9 minutes away. It was conveniently located for touring the city.

Website was down and we got locked out of our room. The rooms are noisy, you can hear everyone leaving and entering the hotel. The pillows and air conditioning leave a lot to be desired.

Overall this is a good place to stay, though the en-suite shower was tiny and the digital keys you use to unlock the main doors and your room are on a browser, so if your phone dies or you can’t connect to the WiFi you would have a problem (though the hotel has its own WiFi so this shouldn’t be a problem unless power goes out).

The staff was great although they didn’t have enough knowledge about transportation or places of interest. Carpet was extremely all throughout the hotel. The lighting in the room was too strong and in one’s face. One usb outlet didn’t work. The iron board was too dented and the iron was cracked and chipped off at the tip that it could rip your clothes. Not enough towels because they don’t dry quick enough after a shower.

The Lubo is located in a very happening part of town. Charming squares, tons of restaurants and bars were footsteps away. The famous wooden bridge was a short walk and so was the promenade along the river. Lucerne main station is walkable, but be aware of the cobbled streets which make dragging trolley bags and strollers with small wheels difficult. Room was compact and fun with a queen size bed and two top bunks. Only complaint is that the AC was not very effective. We set it at 19 degrees C but the room wasn’t cooling at all which meant we were sweating all night. However we found that this is pretty common across Switzerland and we have been told across Europe. Definitely recommend staying here, we found it more cost efficient than other hotels in the area. The breakfast in the hotel cafe was yummy. Make sure you cross check the reservation number before you reach. The two numbers Expedia provided did not work so we had to call and get the right number.

The room is very small. We had a 4 bed room. 2 of them are fine. The 2 other ones are very small and not very comfortable for other than small children. Great area. Walkable, lots of food option. Check-in was challenging and I had to call since the reservation number I had was not recognized.

Was a very convenient location. Parking was not easy as you could not reach the hotel by car even to drop off luggage. The staff were very helpful and polite, room was clean but a little tired. We don’t spend a lot of time in the room so was fine for our stay!

Really great modern accommodation in the heart of the old town of Lucerne. Staying with 2 teenage kids in same room, just about fitted into the high bunks. Only negative was the one feather pillow which deflated to nothing once your head hit it, so better pillows is my only gripe.

I got really scared reading the other reviews and almost canceled. Im very happy that I didn't cancel. The place was super comfortable. I reserved a room with the kitchen. Kitchen and utensils where good. Space was awesome. Loved the decor of the whole studio. Some reviews state that theres nowhere to leave luggage, that is un true. They have a place to leave luggage very accesible. It has an elevator, place is kinda like a small maze, some stair will be inevitable but not so much. Just a couple of steps. Laundry service was awesome, download an app, pay through there, have your space reserved and done! They have a tea and spakling water faucet in this same room that is superb! Additional coffee at Rokka is amazing!

Extremely difficult self check in, they never sent the email, I contacted The property several times…attempted to do the kiosk and it was not working so we had to call the hotel. After over 30 min we were finally in our room and then everything was ok. It’s just not what you want after a long travel day.

The property is very well located in the heart of Lucerne and was one of the most affordable options during our stay. There’s a charming café on the ground floor, which could be convenient for guests, although we didn’t personally use it. On the downside, the space is extremely compact with an unusual layout. The ceiling above the bunk beds is particularly low—we bumped our heads several times. Our room also did not have a kitchen, which was a bit inconvenient. Additionally, there are no free parking options nearby, and the paid parking in the area is quite expensive (around 30 CHF per day). That said, I would still recommend this property for travelers looking for a centrally located, budget-friendly place to stay in Lucerne.

Overpriced for what you are getting. Given a room on the 6th floor but elevator only goes up to 5. Parking is a 10 minute walk away. So lots of inconvenience with carrying our luggage. No front desk so needed frequent calls to help with checking in and other issues and the digital keys were not working.

Room is small and comfortable. The bunk bed design is little close-phobic. Beds are comfortable. Washer/Dryer onsite is perfect, working and pay by app which is very convenient. The check-in process little confused. Promised instruction email did not send. Use personal phone scan the code linking to check-in is the best because you will need the app to open doors anyway. The best solution is download their app.

Great space and atmoshere. Room was large and area very convenient. Old town area so had some sewage smell from the drain which was not pleasant in our room. Went to complete laundry but the washer was smelly and needed to be cleaned. We ran a clean cycle and advised the 3rd party app but they would not refund the invoice of $3 even though we disclosed the issue. Free tea was nice touch. Would stay again.

The location is excellent, however the property can be maintained better. Our room was so dusty, we had to wash all utensils before using them. The towel warmer didn't work and the AC barely cooled the room, we slept with windows open. This is a hostel and that's how it is set up.
