Budget apartment in the heart of Lucerne
The location is superb. The coffee machine is a treat.
The main lights didn't turn on but luckily, the bathroom lights are enough to illuminate the room.

Great location in the old centre of Lucerne. Everything in walking distance. Self-Check-In worked flawless and easy.
Very comfortable bed and a very nice bath room. Absolutely great value for the money.
The lighting in the room was really really poor. Also the fridge, coffee/tea offer was so hidden under the roof that I only found it shortly before leaving. Should be more visible for the guest

I arrived at 9.00pm, unable to get access to the property as the access key pad was not working.
Thankfully another party of guests who were also locked out called the contact number in Mexico. After many attempts we were all able to gain access.
The room was basic and clean, but I do feel that it was not value for money.

No breakfast offered. Loved the location that is about it.
This place needs air conditioning. Portable fans were in the room, but the rooms were still hot. We had to open windows but windows had no screens to keep bugs out. Bathroom drains drained slowly. Rooms size was small but don't think that can be changed.

Great location
The location was incredible! The room is quite spacious, looking at the floor space but it feels small because the beams make half the room inaccessible. The fan they provided was a lifesaver during the hot August weather!
No ability to not have your room cleaned each day. I thought leaving your towel hanging was the universal symbol that you don’t need them changed but regardless, the housekeeping changed every towel, every day.
I knew it was self check in when I booked but I don’t like how impersonal this is

Worst hotel ever.
Nothing. Very small rooms, there was no one to talk to so no customer service at all.
When we took a shower all the water was coming out all the way to bed this happened two days in a row. Hand washing sink also was clogged. Last night one our room lost electricity at 11pm and there’s no one to contact so we had to stay in dark room with no fan ( this Hôtel didn’t had AC ) in hot room till morning. No USB charger, this was one THE worst Hôtel experience we had. I would recommend to anyone to stay in this hotel. 0 star.

Easy to reach. Cheap.
For 30 grueling minutes I didn't know if I was going to spend the night outdoor or if I had to find another hotel. The self-check-in machine didn't recognize my booking number and wouldn't give me a card to open my room. The emergency phone number provided by the hotel was left unanswered and booking.com did not provide a phone number: I left a number of emails and messages to both hotel and bookin.com but I didn't seem to be reaching anybody.
Eventually I did call the emergency number again and seemingly just by chance I managed to reach a human who was not particularly apologetic and suggested the apostrophy in my last name caused the check-in system to malfunction. He helped me through by providing a confirmation number I did not have until that point and that allowed me to get the card for my room.
The wooden stairs of the place were very creaky as I went up, and I was worried I would wake up other people on them, or that other people would wak me up. But ultimately they did not prove a problem during the night. The room was smaller than I expected, with a particularly low ceiling over the bed: made me wonder if I'd bump my head against it at night.
The place somehow didn't feel as clean as other places in the same price category. It has potential and character but it is too much of a random mishmash of old and new for me, and it feels, as a structure, it is not receiving as much investment as it deserves to really make the best of it.
Could have been worse: the bed was comfortable, the shower was warm and ultimately the room did the job. But the uncertainty for the check-in is really unacceptable and generated quite a bit of anxiety in a moment toward the end of the day when all I wanted is to rest instead.

Just a place to dump your bags really, not much of a stay to write about
The location of this place is great, right in the middle of old town so one can easily walk to any nearby spot, be in restaurants or tourist attractions. But the place really needs to up the standard to live up to the hype of a self-checkin format option for tourists. As someone travelling post a knee surgery, a lot of inconvenience trudging up the stairs with our luggage and the cleanliness standards were just not acceptable.

Being one of the cheapest hotel in the area is ok. The cheapest room is very small, just enough to sleep and shower. Location is the most centered you can wish!
It could be a bit cleaner. Under the bed there was quite a lot of dust and some mold in the sealant of the shower. No AC makes it super warm in hot days. There is a little fan for a tiny help.

The location is not far from train station but have to pull luggage over rockie roads.. the room is quite small but enough for solo traveller.. it was self check in but have to wait till 3pm.. luckily i can drop off my luggage at the restaurant below.. i was assigned to the top floor with diagonal ceiling roof..
Everything is fine but at night around 8 or 9pm, there is a stench smell flowing in to the room.. have to wait for the ventilation to clear it off.. took a while before smell goes away..

Very dirty and disguisting - lots of hairs (including bedsheets!) and balls of dust.
Room small, no space to move, no shelves to leave the stuff. Just bare, even unpainted walls. I had to keep all of my things on one small chair.
Lift is weird, definitely not a human lift, rather a cargo lift. It almost gave me a heart attack when I couldn't open the door to leave!
This place is located above the asian restaurant and looks slightly different than showed on the photos. Also, it does not deserve the money I paid.

Great location, OK for one night.
Location is great, as it is in the old town. Hotel is situated above a ramen restaurant which serves great food.
A bit hard to get to the place with a car as you have to drive through a busy shopping street. Parking was quite expensive. The photos do not indicate which one is the standard one. Room is extremely small with no view.
