Excellent location but accommodation compromises were not ideal for one person

The location is excellent a short walk from El Cristo beach and the Port with all the restaurants.

The description on the website is unclear and some explanation might be helpful for people contemplating this property. The apartment is situated on the first floor (top) of a row of similar terraced properties. The orientation is North-East/South-West. The apartment terrace is on the South-West side but has been enclosed by windows and slatted sun screens. It is equipped with dining table and chairs. Next is a small double bedroom followed by the living room (sofa bed), kitchen, bathroom, narrow staircase (leading to a mezzanine with two single beds) and the apartment entrance. There is a second mezzanine located above the kitchen (accessed by a step ladder). In total the apartment could accommodate at least 5 persons. However, a consequence of the focus on accommodation numbers is that the living room is very gloomy with no view to the outside. The terrace slatted sunscreens block the view towards the coast and cut the day light. For some the location and the focus on numbers will be a major positive but for others the balance may be wrong.

Quirky lay-out and decoration clean well-equipped house, very close to the sea and a lot of restaurants.

Great value for the money

Great value for the money. Very nice and helpful host. It's a quirky little place with an odd layout. Good bedroom upstairs with two beds, that were ok. Small bathroom with shower cabin and enough warm water for two quick showers. The washing machine worked well even though we thought it was going to dance out the door. The lime green kitchen with its bar desk was perfect for simpler cooking. We liked the open layout with the living room. TV has many local channels. The upstairs loft would have been great if we would have needed more beds. The master bedroom is really small, but has a comfy bed and good storage. The balcony had great seating, but we wish it would have been able to open up more. The clothing line out there came in handy, but it took very long time to dry anything. Almost everything we needed was on hand. The host had even left both a sewing and a first aid kit, which was much appreciated even though we didn't use it. Good location near the port and beaches, plus supermarkets nearby. Wifi worked great. There were always free parking spots outside. Neighborhood felt very safe to walk around in, even when late.

It is obvious that the place is used by many guests with different ideas of what "clean" means. I had to wash all the dishes before wanting to use them. A deep clean is certainly due. Some kitchen utensils, like the frying pans, needs to be replaced as they were too worn out to use. I also suggest adding a tea towel and oven mittens. A bit too many dog hairs and other dirt for me to call the place clean enough. It also felt a bit too dark, with its lack of proper sized windows. It's location means walking uphill a lot, so not for the lazy one.

The apartment was clean and had all we needed. It was in a good location, easy to walk into the centre of tow and the beach, and had good parking facilities. The enclosed balcony had good views over the garden and down to the sea.

Unlocking the door was a bit fiddly.

Wonderful duplex near the beach

Spotless, comfortable duplex with lots of space. Good cooking facilities. A five-minute walk from the chiringuitos at the beach and less than ten minutes to the port. Free parking. Pets welcome. All in all, a great choice for Estepona and the Costa del Sol.

There's nothing bad about the accommodation but the walk uphill from the beach could be tough on anyone with mobility issues.

Dirty shower with hair, mould at the ceilling, very dark appartment with no windows in leaving room. I was told by the host if I won't arrive on time I have to walk to their office to get a key. I was charge 30 euros for cleaning service but did not get clean apartment. Stains on the ktchen caunter from tomato sauce that has not been cleaned.

Nice size apartment with good size kitchen & bedrooms. All amenities to hand. Lovely garden outlook. Local supermarket 200 metres walk. Port area 300 metres walk. Beach around 15 minute walk.

Very comfortable great location

Location location location. Only a 10 minute walk to the port and beach. Very easy to find and great comunicación. Everything you needed was in the apartment. Kettle, tea, coffee and sugar. Lots of lovely hot water and good water pressure. So lovely to be able to take our dog with us as well.

The bed downstairs was very squeaky would benefit from a better quality bed. I would have preferred an adjustable shower head (able to move up and down i don't always want to wash my hair)

Very easy parking.... right outside. Great location....10 mins walk to the marina, shops, beaches and town. Lovely quiet area.

It was a little dark. The accommodation was fine for a couple, would have been a bit cramped for 4. The lock on the door was very difficult to use, we struggled to get the key in every time!!
