Very Tired Apartment with Questionable Business Practices

As others have said the deposit was a total nightmare, I hadn't spotted this as we are never asked for a deposit & luckily we had Revolut otherwise not sure what we would have done as it is requested the day you are about to arrive. Deposit was refunded 2 days after departure & communication during this time was zero from the hosts & i was starting to think we had been scammed. The contents of the apartment would struggle to amount to 150 euros so not sure why this amount is necessary? The photos need updating as there is no longer a sea view, the trees have grown & buildings have been built which completely blocks the sea view. Anyway, you can park outside & there are bars/restaurants & supermarkets & the beach within a 5 minute walk. The main area of Estepona with the traditional restaurants in the Old Town is a good 30 minute walk along the front

I rented this apt for my nephew. I live at the urbanization right next to the beach bungalow. At check in time (3:00 pm) and before the manager refused to give me the apt number or lock box number to access the keys. My nephew and I found the apt and finally a friend of the managers came to us and gave us the lock box number. It was 7:00 pm before we could access the apt. I have been doing business with Booking for many years and strongly suggest dropping this booking. The manager never apologized for his behavior.

Great place - remember to check that your security deposit is returned.

Great little studio apartment in a good location near the port.

Staff made checkin quite complex via WhatsApp & asked for an extra €150 security deposit after booking was made. Security deposit wasn’t returned until staff were reminded over a week after checkout even though WhatsApp said the deposit would be returned without delay.

Once in the property great for a 2 night stay

Clean, convenient and good parking

Received an email the day we were arriving saying a bond of 150 euros was required which was ok. However it had to be paid by Revolut or a card I had never heard of or by bank transfer. Owner needed proof of bank transfer which would not appear on my account for at least 24 hours. Eventually agreed deposit could be paid in cash and an employee collected it. It was returned the day we left. However the bank transfer is still stuck in the. Spanish banking system. Be warned if booking this property get a Revolut card or contact them before arrival to pay bond in cash.

I would just point out that this wasn't a bungalow as there were stairs fine for us but not for anyone with mobility issues. It was over 2 floors.

Location was good, nice host, but busy, running other locations. Free parking.

Have to pay security deposit, probobly its fine, but this was first time someone asked it, when booking through booking. It needed update (apartment, amenities, bedding), not suitable for families with kids (open staircase), not safe. Since its 2 floor unit, very small space, in kitchen can't even sit around table. It is NOT bungalow. Very soft beds. Could be gard to check out very early, since host want to check everything after your stay and give back deposit.

Worth staying, great location, clean and friendly

The welcome we got was so friendly. Tony was such a lovely man. He messaged me lots of info about good places to eat. We were made to feel very welcome. We had everything in the bungalow that we needed.

There wasn't anything we didn't like apart from the rain and nothing to be done about that! 😂

A good place in summertime, in wintertime look elsewhere as it's a tiny place without use of terrace

The nearby town is very nice, and the owner is a gentle and respectful guy.

In summertime it's a fine location, as it's close to the beach. But wintertime I wouldn't recommend it as the pictures are outdated. It's really a tiny apartment, and barely fit 2 persons. The torn tent on the terrace gives it a shabby look. It's the only place where you have to pay a deposit of 100,-. I guess that has to do with party people staying there, usually in summertime.

The most awful experience! Be careful!

Be careful before making a reservation there! The facility provider is not taking any responsibility for the poor and false information provided in your confirmation and also not returning any messages from the Booking!

The place smells, is in real bad condition. Balcony is dilapidated, no privacy! There is just one small room (max 25m2), where is bed, living room and kitchen all together. No separate bedroom as described. Facility provider is not willing to return the money although we didn' t stay. Now co-operating with a bank to get the refund for the not provided service and facilities!
