Cancelled on us at 10pm evening before

We was upgraded to the penthouse which was huge! It had an outdoor tub on the balcony which was lovely and the rooms air con was amazing. The room was freezing just what you want coming in from the heat and humidity outside. We only stayed 1 night so can’t really comment on the location but we went to Penny Lane (gorgeous tapas style) for tea which was approx 10mins away. Outdoor pool area was nice with swim up bar which we had a few cocktails. Friendly staff. We walked to a gym called ‘Wrong Gym’ which took about 20 mins.

We had 4 nights booked here which we booked about a year ago. At 10pm the evening before our stay I received an email that stated they didn’t have the full availability and we could stay on the first night and the last! We was extremely annoyed being told last minute about this. We stayed the first night as we didn’t want the stress as we was travelling from uluwatu. The staff were polite they upgraded us to the penthouse and sorted another hotel 15 minutes away for us.

Nice place in Canggu

Big pool, close to the beach and close to a lot of facilities. Nice room, nice bathroom attached. We had an upper level room. Not much noise. Pleasant stay.

The staff of the rooftop restaurant their English wasn’t too great. We ordered 2 flat white and 2 orange juice. And we got one each. And the orange juice gave me Bali Belly.

Rude Staff and Unpleasant Experience

The staff was rude and made the experience stressful. Breakfast wasn’t included in our stay, but we kindly asked to have it anyway and pay for it. A waiter, seemingly unaware, almost kicked us out of the dining area. Later, they came to our table demanding payment before we even finished, forcing us to go back to the room to get the credit card. Usually, this can be settled at check-out. Overall, really unpleasant vibes.

An amazing stay — clean, relaxing, and full of great touches like the swim-up pool, friendly staff, and a fun breakfast

I loved everything about this property! The staff were so kind and welcoming, the room was spotless, and the swim-up pool was such a highlight. The build-your-own breakfast was a great touch, and we had so much fun relaxing by the pool and playing a few games of pool. Would definitely stay here again!

Probably the worst place I have ever stayed in my many visits to Bali - overpriced, very noisy, ugly location & diff

They did a lovely job decorating our room for my birthday (at a charge paid for by my daughter of course) Pool was nice but not as idyllic looking as photos suggest

Where to start - it is surrounded by nothing but building sites, and buildings, it is really hard to get anywhere unless you take gojeks, (although traffic is so bad in Canggu that cars take forever to get anywhere) the loud music by the pool, nice if you want to be at a day club, not so nice if you just want to chill by the pool, was unbearable and didn’t stop until late in the evening so no escape apart from shutting your balcony door. The breakfasts were very average and boring. And the most disappointing part was being chased down when we were leaving because in checking our room they couldn’t find 1 of the glasses….. which turned out to be sitting on the balcony table.

Noisy nights with screaming cats, and not family friendly at all

Breakfast was very poor – stale bread, watery coffee, and barely any choice. Not very friendly staff eiter.

If you’re looking for a peaceful stay, avoid this place. We had cats screaming all night, and worse, they somehow managed to get into our room – sitting on the bed and the chairs. Completely unhygienic and unsettling, especially when you’re traveling with family. On top of that, there’s a DJ blasting music at the pool until late hours. It’s so loud you can’t relax, let alone get any sleep. The combination of noise and stray animals makes this hotel feel more like a chaotic nightclub than a beach retreat. Definitely not worth the price, and absolutely not family-friendly.

Good location & wonderful stay!

We stayed here once previously and enjoyed our stay so decided to come back again. Was lovely again, staff are wonderful.

Our TV wasn’t able to connect to any internet as staff said it was ‘old’ so we could not use any of the apps to watch TV in the evenings.

Perfect location, perfect staff!

We enjoyed staying at Sense Canggu as it’s in the quieter part of Canggu with a beautiful 15 min beach walk to all the restaurants. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were happy the entire time. We had one issue with a noise complaint and they were more than happy to assist us in moving us rooms (with a nice little upgrade too which was perfect with lagoon access!) Cynthia and the pool bar staff kept us well hydrated and played some great tunes for us to groove too!! Thanks again for having us, we will be recommending to all our friends and family who want resort vibes but without the big crowds. You must ask for the Cynthia special (her cucumber cocktail was delicious) 💛

Facilities, clean bedrooms everyday and friendly staff.

We have been to this hotel 3 years ago and loved it so expectations were high. However, this time round it was not the best experience. When we got to the hotel, we ate at the restaurant and the food took almost an hour to arrive. When it did, the food was cold and steak chewy. Breakfast almost everyday took 30-40 minutes to arrive. Every time we called the reception, there was no answer. Staff is friendly but couldn’t speak much English.

Shocking and disappointed

The property was lovely, clean, pool area was nice

When we went to check out they checked our room and brought down our bedsheets to the reception area. My partner had a few mozzie bites that had been bleeding. They held up the sheets and told us there was a charge of $100 + for this. When we tried to dispute this. They held our taxi up and males came from everywhere surrounding us until we paid the $100 +. I have stayed all over the world in lots of different accommodation types and have never experienced anything as disgusting as that. Would not recommend at all.

Lovely rooms

The room was lovely and spacious. The location is about 5 min walk to the beach and there are good food spots there.

The towels at the pool were not clean with lots of stains on them. The pool couch area was not like the pictures. The laundry service is super expensive, it cost us €10 and when we got it back it was still wet! It would be much better value to get your laundry done in a launderette in the street.

Gorgeous

The property is really gorgeous, in a great location, the staff are so lovely and welcoming. Beds were really comfortable and the balcony views above the pool were so scenic. It’s so easy to get bikes into the more central areas as well. Such a safe place to stay.

The only downside was the sheets/pillow covers and towels seemed a bit worn and the bathroom amenities could have been a bit better like filling up the soap dispensers. But honestly we really did fall in love with the hotel and the people during our stay and this wouldn’t stop me from booking again

Fabulous start to our holiday

Lovely hotel and gardens. The pool was huge and located right outside our room, which was awesome. Staff were super friendly and went above and beyond to assist us in any way. Walking distance to Echo Beach.The room was gorgeous, beautifully decorated, and felt very luxe. Awesome breakfast!

The hot water wasn’t working when we first arrived. Asked to get it fixed, hot water worked for a few minutes before becoming cold again. Asked again to fix but same issue. We couldn’t get a decent shower in the whole stay. Also told us water was free but didn’t mention the big bottles are charged so we got an unexpected bill

A good base

Everything you need in a base to explore the area. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff smiling all the time ( special mention to eggy, wanwan for the cocktail making ) & super helpful with any requests.

suggest starting music later on by the pool ( after 12 midday ) and also playing more relaxing music like chilled house, cafe del mar, rufus du Sol. Then after 4pm start cranking it up to more party sounds!

It was okay for our short time stay

Best part about the hotel was the super friendly staff. It’s a bit outside of the busy side of Canggu, which makes it a bit more quiet. The bed was comfortable. If you want to stay for short time, then it’s a good choice.

Our room (double bed with pool view) had a glass locked door which we later on found out that it was a separation to the penthouse room. So whenever our neighbours entered their room we heard everything as if they enter our room and it woke up us in the late night. This was the worst part about our room. The minibar made very loud noise, the shower drain was clogged and the food in the restaurant was average.

Loved every minute of staying here

For our first time in Bali this hotel set the standards high. The staff were lovely, helpful and attentive. The room was gorgeous and had everything you needed. The street itself is on where there is a lot of food options close by and in walkable distance. I was so sad to be leaving here.

I had bed bugs 🐜 in my bed. I have bits all over my back and chest. Told reception they said do you want us to change sheets. I said no want to move out of that room . It needs to be fumigated so they put me in another room. And there was no difference bugs in that room to?

Party music blasting daily = no rest in the day

Close to the surf breaks

No information was given that the hotel has party days and outside of the party days there will still be music blasting from the pool bar until 6pm. If you are in need of an afternoon nap, that can’t happen because the rooms face the pool and the speakers of the pool bar directly face the rooms. The street coming into the hotel is so much quieter and more peaceful. No one responds to the official WhatsApp number provided at check in. Also if your room is the closest to the entrance, you will find that your room also faces that utility staff closet. The rooms are not sound proof. So when staff are rolling trolleys of cleaning products/amenities, you can be sure to hear the trolleys and luggages going over the rough surface ground. Also there is no water refill station. It is over priced for what the hotel offers. Definitely unable to have peaceful rest while staying here

the location of the property was great! the street was quiet enough to get a restful night and also busy enough to grab a scooter into town or walk along to the many cafes and restaurant. the pool was great, staff - Amazing! happy to accomodate ANY needs. rooms were serviced daily - beds comfortable. the massage and beauty services were top tier.

A mistake not to be repeated.

The rooms where nicely decorated.

Upon arrival our greeting was "you have not paid yet" and then waited an hour after check in time opened to be shown to our rooms. Within the first 10min we had to make 5 additional payments as there where no beds for the children even though the booking stated "your children stay for free" I guess if we did not pay the extra $ the kids would have slept on the floor. When the beds did not fit in the room they did upgrade us to a bigger room at no additional cost, but we still had to pay for the beds. We also had to pay extra for the children to eat even though breakfast was included in the booking price for everyone. The first morning I had a coffee Late with my breakfast and went back to my room, within 30sec I received a phone call to come pay for my coffee. I told them I would do so, but I guess I took to long so they sent someone to my room to get the payment. This was the trend for our entire stay. Out off the three rooms we booked only one shower worked, but they did fix one after we informed them. The rooms with the lagoon access have NO privacy what so ever, if you open your curtains you have other guests in front off your room. We visit Bali twice a year if not more and this was one of the worst experiences I've ever had!

Good location 5-10 mins from echo beach, shops and restaurants close by. Clean and tidy, good breakfast variety, we had a free 30min massage it was a very good massage one of the best. Had no issues at all with this hotel all staff are lovely and friendly great value for money. We will be returning

This was our third time staying at Senses & will return.

The location was perfect. Within walking distance to our favourite restaurants, the beach & cafes for coffee. We especially loved the new upbeat vibe and feeling of the place. Wayan & Sinitya brought fun & friendly atmosphere and made our stay so memorable. We will return and hope to see them again.

The bath towels could do with an upgrade.

Very comfortable and friendly

Very close to the beach, I avoid driving scooters so I could just walk down and do my surfing. Staff were great as well, actually concerned about our satisfaction. There was some light entering the room at night and they improvised a blackout cover as soon as we asked them, which is amazing service.

First night there were people drinking and shouting at the swimming pool until late. It took 2 calls to the reception to calm them down, which they eventually did.
