Peaceful escape near the beach and cafes

The rooms here were excellent. Very clean and peaceful. Everything is also very self contained with dining, pools and gym if you just want to relax. The beach is walking distance and there is even a tap outside to wash your feet before entering. There are many cafes walking distance away or you can catch the free grab buggy around. Wifi is good and many powerpoints to charge your devices. The staff are also very friendly and I really enjoyed my stay. Would definitely visit again!!

Lovely stay, lovely people

Location was great, rooftop pool and bar were beautiful, staff were accommodating and so friendly. They did a beautiful arrangement on the bed for my friend as it was her birthday. Complimentary towels for the pool. They had a free shuttle bus running to a few places around the town which was great.

Nothing was good.

This was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. I booked two separate rooms at Citadines Berawa Beach Bali Resort, which is advertised as a 4.5 star property. The reality was completely different and honestly shocking. Both rooms were filthy on arrival. One room had dead cockroaches and flies stuck in the coffee table crevices, coffee stains on the table, blood stains on the bed sheets, crumbs all over the dining chairs, dirty lampshades, stained couches, a bin that looked like it had been vomited in, and a strong smell of mould throughout the room. It was so unclean that we could not even sit down. The second room was just as dirty and also had a large lizard inside. While I understand this can happen in a tropical climate, the staff response was unacceptable. Reception came with bug spray and told us to kill it ourselves if it came back. When we complained, we were offered new rooms, which should never be necessary if rooms are cleaned properly before guests arrive. We were then made to wait three hours with no updates while staff claimed they were “deep cleaning” the replacement rooms. During this time, we could not relax or even sit down because of how disgusting the original rooms were. We were also told there would be water in the rooms, but neither room had any. After wasting most of our evening, we decided there was no chance we could stay and asked for a refund. We did not stay a single night. Despite showing photo evidence of the filth, we were only offered a refund for one night. The photos and rating online are extremely misleading and do not reflect the actual condition of this hotel. This place is not even close to a 4.5 star standard. Save your money and stay somewhere else.

Its comfortable, strategic, and friendly service

I really like the sky pool, it overlooks the ocean. I also want to appreciate that they provide live music for breakfast. I like the idea that they also facilitate us with free laundry room. Overall, the room is very spacious and has a concept like an apartment, very comfortable!

The gym is very lacking in equipment, therefore i cant workout properly and train the body part that i want, please upgrade the gym for the maximum enjoyment

Great value for money

Large, spacious, good aircon, nice rooftop pool, great value for money.

Nothing was really within walking distance. But only a cheap bike away. The servicing of the room was sometimes a bit hit and miss. They would clean the rooms, change towels, etc, but then would leave glasses and cups not washed or replaced.

Comfortable stay

Staff were friendly and welcoming. They had a birthday greeting for my cousin in the room upon check-in. Close to Finns beach club. The terrace has a bar with an infinity pool having a great view. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Breakfast was decent with live music every morning

Great value for money for family with small children

Really good value for money. Family of four two adults and two small children. 2bedroom apartment style room worked well for us. Staff were so helpful and friendly. Pool was great and pretty quiet. Able to walk to beach and good restaurants etc free shuttle around a circuit of Canggu was very handy and the kids thought it was great. Another bonus was laundry machines for use just need to bring your own detergent.

Location was a little bit further out than we thought but no big issue with grab and the free shuttle.

Staff were incredibly friendly, excellent location just a stones throw away from the beach. Rooms were lovely & good air conditioning. Grounds of the hotel always clean & looked after

the hotel is in a great location. it was clean and the rooms were well equipped. I was staying with my young daughter so the room was a nice size for us. The option of two pools was great and we loved the rooftop pool. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

A modern two bedroom executive room which was a great size for the four of us. Roof terrace was great.

Could have give you the basics in room such as washing up liquid, dish cloth, tea towel and a toaster would have been handy and salt/pepper just the few basics. Also there was no mirror by plug sockets and there was room on wall to have fixed mirrors as you can’t plug hair dryer in bathroom so that was a pain.

Very average hotel First night in room, clump of hair on floor Cobwebs above bed No towels in bathroom Below average food at above average prices, room service food served cold and covered in cling film Went up to roof terrace for dinner one evening, was completely spoilt by invasion of people from other side of the roof at a private party. Had to leave food and drink unfinished and go downstairs as it was chaotic, noisy and crowded. Staff totally unsympathetic.

Location excellent. The staff were lovely and always helpful and happy. The room was clean, bright and functional. Good value for money. Great to have a roof top pool with views over the beach and sea

The bathroom shower unit could do with an upgrade. The coffee sachets in the room needs to be instant to be used. The food was average but there are lots of great eating options nearby and across the road or on delivery.

Stunning but very disappointing. Would not go back there.

The room was clean and as I was in the presidential suite the private pool was nice

They didn’t tell me about all the construction work going on and had I known I would’ve not stayed. There was very noisy and for the presidential suite was really poor for them not to let me know. The breakfast was absolutely horrific. Based on that I would not recommend this property to stay at.

The hotel is aging, rooms smell so bad and moist. View from balcony is on a wall, staff not very helpful and mostly the rooms smelled so bad to be honest, humidity and we kept sneezing

Disappointing Experience with Management, But Friendly Front Desk Staff

I had a frustrating experience with the supervisor, who showed zero flexibility or empathy when I mistakenly booked the wrong dates. Instead of offering help, they were more focused on charging penalties. Ironically, on the actual check-in day, a junior staff member was kind enough to move my dates without any issue or extra charge. Clearly, it’s all about willingness and attitude. The room had multiple issues. The dryer took half a day to dry clothes, and we had to change the kettle three times—shockingly, none of them worked. When I reported it, the technician told me I had to hold the hot water button down until the water boiled because “it’s a manual kettle.” Really? It’s supposed to be electric—what a joke. That said, some of the front desk staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. And with the low room rates, the place might be worth it if you’re on a budget and can overlook the lack of proper maintenance.

I didn't like no do not disturb tags for the rooms. I left my room for an hour and the staff immediately entered. I didn't like having my property and personal information violated. This hotel is not a safe place, beware!

Nice hotel, good location but a construction next to it

The location close to the beach and restaurants is great. But they should mention that there are constructions basically everywhere around the hotel and that some rooms do not have the view you see on the pictures. The constructions are from 8am to 5 pm almost every day (sometimes louder, sometimes not that loud). The staff is nice!

Great location, amazing pool

2nd time here and will be back again. My favourite part of the hotel is the rooftop pool. Staff is very friendly as well. Amazing massage parlour within the hotel as well best massage i have had in a while

There is an older wing and a new wing. The room in the older wing vs the newer wing is just a bit more worn, but nothing that is too big a deal
