Great main facilities, rooms need a lot of maintenance

Location is great, hotel reception, main area, pool, garden, restaurants and roof top restaurants are all great. Breakfast as well

The rooms desperately need renovations, maintenance work. Rotten wood all over the place, roof is patched with plastics, limescale everywhere. We tried to ask for a paid upgrade but the extra money was way too much. We needed to pay 50% of day rate for a late checkout of a few hours.

Relaxing vibe and close to everything. Pool amazing and pool villa fantastic to stay in. Enjoyed evening drinks at the roof top restaurant. Food excellent. Staff most helpful. Spa and massage facilities great too.

Fabulous property. Not cheap but worth it.

Everything! Great facilities, location, food, rooms. The staff were fabulous. Can highly recommend.great bars and restaurants nearby.

The club music could be heard but did not disturb our sleep at all. Worst thing and it’s very minor, is the luxurious, giant bed was a bit hard. Close to the beach but it was covered in rubbish. Nothing to do with the hotel though.

We had a fabulous stay, it was very serene. We loved it.

We enjoyed the food, the Service and the location. We were minutes away from the beach and from many local restaurants. Our room was cleaned a few times a day and whenever we asked for anything, they were prompt. We enjoyed the traditional dance and the terrace view!

The washrooms and the grounds were dated. They are updating their spa facility.

Beautiful hotel, comfortable, delicious food, and good location.

The hotel is beautiful and full of history. Its location is amazing as it is just some steps away for Canggu beach, also in a street full of nice bars and restaurants. The hotel food is delicious, although a little more expensive, it is really worth it, in Europe you don't get this quality for the price. The staff is extremely helpful and nice, they are super friendly and welcoming.

Our room had a big leak on the cealing which cause one of us to get water in the face while sleeping pn a rainy night. I did told the staff but they didn't do anything about it. Make sure to check your room before you settle.

Beautiful oasis in the heart of Canggu

The hotel is absolutely beautiful. The rooms, the grounds, just stunning. The staff are so lovely and friendly!

Sadly they were renovating the roof while we were there. We had no idea about this at the time of booking, so there was a lot of noise during the day and we couldn't really use the pool as it was right next to the roof they were constructing. Another thing which is outside the control of the hotel is it is a few steps away from 2 bars/clubs that have music blaring until 5am every night. Lots of mozzies get into the room, so use bets and mozzies spray.

Food was good, rooms were nice, staff were friendly but nothing worth going back for.

Breakfast was good. They delivered it to the room and I was able to order as much as I liked. Taste was good too.

The hotel was under renovation and maintenance was not that great. The lobby was entirely inaccessible, reducing the charm of the hotel. I wasn't informed about the renovation. When I told them about my dissatisfaction they gave me two hours of complimentary massage as compensation. I also ended up paying double for taxi service as I was wrongfully assisted by staff.

Beautifully decorated. It had a very traditional feel

It advertised that it had 4 restaurants, with various cuisines. Unfortunately due to pandemic, they only have one open - Japanese. And if you don’t like Japanese then you’re stuck! While we understand the economic situation, this should have been advertised. We also booked a room with ocean view. Well, you could just about see it in the distance and through the trees, but I would not call it an ocean view.

Rooms in desperate need of maintenance and not up to scratch of a 5 star hotel. “Turndown” done mid afternoon- no curtains closed or bed turned down. Arrival collection was 45 minutes late and collection for airport drop off was 15 minutes late.

the hotel was beautiful, beds very comfortable. staff excellent as was the food. I can recommend the Balinese cooking class, just make sure you book as soon as you arrive

the main areas of hotel has no AC. also not the hotels fault but the beach bar opposite is bloody noisey and seems to have no cut off times. it would have been good if they had supplied MDMA or ecstasy so we could have joined on

Exceptional

Really great authentic little accommodation in Canngu. The hotel is over 20 years old but has been maintained very well and has a very authentic and charming vibe. Canngu has changed a lot over the years and the music from the venue next door can be loud on the weekend nights (until 2 or 3am) but they provide ear plugs. It's nice to see that a hotel adapts to the changes around them. Breakfast options are good too Western and Balinese options available. Private pool in the room was great and their is also plenty of green around. Really enjoyed our stay at Tugu Bali and will always remember when we look at the little keepsakes the staff gave us as we checked out. The hotel is unique in it's own right and if your looking for tranquility, a great location and SUPER friendly staff then Tugu is the place to be.

The location to the beach and shops. The Hotel was beautifully decorated, the rooms were spacious and superbly serviced. The staff were so lovely. .

Everything was fabulous. A little bit of noise from the nearby club, but that's not the hotels doing. They provided earplugs which was helpful.

The large public pool. The staff were excellent.

The pool in our Villa. Just a swinging chair. The cushions were off most of the time because they were drying out because of the rain. Hence nowhere to sit outside. So had to go to the larger guests pool. So wasted money paying for a private pool. Rooms need an update. Very old decor. Afternoon tea served at 4 ??? Hotel would have been magnificent in its day.

The hotel is beautifully decorated Balinese style. The staff are very attentative. The rooftop restaurant is gorgeous overlooking the sea - great at sunset. Japanese food is delicious.

The staff were super friendly a the hotel/space is really well appointed and maintained. The food from the hotel was great and the view from their rooftop bar was an added bonus.

There was some noise from local bars which went quite late, but that isn't the fault of the hotel.
