Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Holiday Inn Resort and the Balinese people

The resort is approximately 2 years old, designed in a Balinese style, and the staff are thoughtful and considerate, going above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. I couldn't ask for better. The beach nightclub is approximately 10 -minute walk from the Holiday Inn Resort, which is packed at night, with many young people in their 20s and 30s. Some popular cafes and restaurants we ate at were Billy Ho (Japanese restaurant directly across the road from the hotel resort), Low Cal Cheatery and Bar, Milk and Madu Beach, eateries were our favourite and Penny Lane (PL), another popular eatery, all within a short walking distance from the Holiday Inn Resort. There are plenty of marketplaces to grab a bargain, but buyer beware: there are fake brand-name knock-offs, so don't think you're buying a genuine product. You can, however, negotiate for a better and fairer deal. Getting around places in Bali, you can use the 'Grab' app (similar to Uber) to book a lift to where you want to go. This is your guarantee that you get legit drivers taking you where you want to go and not get ripped off by those who try to pass off as 'Grab' drivers/riders.

Traffic from Denpasar Airport to Canggu, where the Holiday Inn Resort is located, is approximately 20 km. It took us 2 hours and 10 minutes by car. However, when returning to the airport from Canggu, it took us 3 hours due to heavy rain that caused significant flooding. Some people even missed their flights because of this, so be prepared.

A very comfortable stay

The family room with bunk beds was great, as was having balconies. The staff were attentive, the kids club had fun activities.

I thought it was a little bit expensive for what it was. I much prefer a breakfast and eating area that opens up to the pool or to a view. The kids club also lacked atmosphere and really needed more toys. I did travel with my 3 year old granddaughter and that would have made it more perfect if the kids club was better equipped and perhaps had an outside area but I do realise a hotel cannot cater for everyone.

A lovely hotel with wonderful staff

We had a lovely stay at the Holiday Inn Canggu! Every member of staff that we met were so friendly and helpful. The room was spotless and we absolutley loved the infinity pool/rooftop area. The buffet breakfast was also amazing! Location is also great, with plenty of restaurants and shopping close by. Thanks for a lovely stay! :)

The room was verrry small and the bathroom is only covered by sliding doors which isn't great for privacy.

Un sans faute ! Accueil exceptionnel, personnel attentionné (partout dans l’hôtel), les chambres sont propres, soignées, bien équipées pour passer un bon séjour. La piscine sur le toit est magnifique, sièges à disposition, bar et vue sur la mer. L’hôtel est très bien situé, proche mer et tout autres commodités (restaurants, pharmacies, bureau de change, bars…). Je recommande vivement cet hôtel

The location was smack in Canggu - walking distance to the Lawn, many good brunch restaurants (although the roads are not child friendly or pram friendly) The hotel facilities and staff were very good - could not ask for more. Love the small kids club.

The room was small, and the ventilation could be better. If you include a cot in the room there is not much walking space

Lovely modern hotel near to the beach, restaurants and shops

A lovely modern and centrally located hotel. Staff were really friendly and service orientated. Appreciate that they were able to accommodate me at short notice due to an issue with the booking at another hotel.

Constant ping from the elevators all day as they stopped at each floor, this tended to echo around the hotel due to the courtyard layout. There was a big mix up with some food I ordered from the restaurant, I am vegan and the food was described as such but unfortunately the next time I order the dish I was advised it had meat stock. The supervisor was very apologetic and wanted to assure me that I had not eaten anything with meat stock, but unfortunately I was not confident with the explanation given. A real shame as aside from that everything was good. I would suggest triple checking ingredients with staff if you have allergies.
