Location and facility are top notch. Such a shame with the temperature setting.

Location (proximity to heaps of cool cafes, restos, bars and shops), staff friendliness and responsiveness, design and interior and facilities (bike and buggy - which are huge advantages for exploring around).

The aircon was too hot. Told the staff and it was set to the max but was still too hot to fall asleep. And the proximity to the main street with the sound of car and bikes at night, making light sleeper like me wake up a few times during the night.

Don't book if you want peace and comfort.

MASSIVE DISAPPOINTMENT. Do not be fooled by the Conde Nast Award, and please read the bad reviews first!! We checked out early because we knew we would not enjoy our holiday if we continued staying here. 1. EXTREMELY NOISY. Felt like I was sleeping by the roadside, with the motorcycles zooming past every now and then. The walls are thin as well, I could hear when other guests were outside and opening their doors, and when housekeeping was doing their rounds. I was up at 6am after my first night because of the noise (road + housekeeping outside etc). Definitely not the peace and calm the listing photos try to portray. 2. EXTREMELY DARK AT NIGHT. Photos look good because they were taken in the day, i.e there was light. But when night comes, be prepared to use night vision goggles. The room is sooo dimly lit we struggled to move around. Could barely see my body while showering. Perhaps they were going for a romantic/ cool vibe but it definitely is NOT practical. 3. FORM > FUNCTION. Sure, it looks pretty in photos. But it is also stupidly impractical. The bed is placed in the middle of a raised concrete platform. Looks good in photos but so inconvenient to get in and out of. Not to mention the bed is a little on the soft side as well. My wife fell down one of the nights while trying to use the bathroom. The 2 'sitting' chairs they place in the room also encapsulates this theme of form over function. So damn difficult to get into, and when I am finally sat in it, the position is so uncomfortable that it was cutting off blood supply to my legs. And then it was another challenge trying to get up. There was no where comfortable to lounge in (useless sitting chairs, concrete all over, difficult bed to get into). TLDR; Just don't book this and look elsewhere.

Great amenities and design, with a lack of personality in service

We recently stayed at Further Hotel, and while there was a lot I appreciated about my visit, there were some significant drawbacks. The rooms were modern, stylish, and well-maintained, creating a comfortable and upscale environment that I really enjoyed. The contemporary decor and clean design contributed to a pleasant stay and was very instagram worthy. Especially loved the bathroom and it's duo showers - as well as the bluetooth speakers in the room.

Unfortunately, the service and staff left much to be desired. I found them to be unresponsive and lacking in professionalism, which made some aspects of my stay less enjoyable. From slow responses to basic inquiries to a general lack of attentiveness, their poor service overshadowed the positive aspects of the hotel. It's disappointing because the hotel has great potential, but the staff's attitude and responsiveness seriously impacted my overall experience

The property is very aesthetic and comfortable. Unlike your conventional hotel rooms. The room makes you feel at home with very nice ambiance. Bed and pillows were extremely comfy too.

fascinating design and laid back ambience

We stayed at penthouse that has a nice balcony along. the first thing to mention is exceptional design, all details very well thought through, giving one an instant aesthetic satisfaction. very clean, super comfortable beds, spacious shower. we appreciated the sound system and music in the room. the staff is as very very professional and friendly. we stayed at Further Gallery building just in front of Baked, which is super conveniently located close to everything in Pererenan and the beach.

the only thing is the noise in the evening as it may get quite loud, however at night the street is pretty quiet

UNBEARABLY NOISY - road noise

Further Hotel – Furthest Away from Calm, Tranquil, or Escapism I booked Further Hotel hoping for calm, tranquil, boutique escapism. Instead, I got a masterclass on how NOT to sleep on holiday. I endured a night of relentless noise that felt more like I’d checked into a boutique-themed sound experiment. Coming from The Oberoi in Seminyak after 10 blissful nights of world-class service, views, and peace, FURTHER Hotel felt like some kind of influencer’s poor joke. The bed backs directly onto the main road. There was no warning from staff. It wasn’t a gentle background hum — more like sleeping with your head inside a scooter exhaust. It felt as if Bali’s entire fleet of mopeds had chosen my room as their drive-thru. They provide cheap earplugs, which is “cute”, but it’s a lost cause. From the ground to the street, every inch of this hotel seems acoustically engineered to destroy sleep and tranquillity. The bedroom doors are paper-thin, and staff noise from the hallway prepping paper amenity bags is ongoing . I made a formal noise complaint to staff to pass on to management , but no manager followed up. Just silence — the only kind I didn’t get during my stay. At $400 AUD a night, this place wildly overestimates itself. The real value sits somewhere around $110 AUD — and that’s generous. The rooms are so dark you need a flashlight. Forget makeup — I nearly brushed my teeth with my concealer. There’s no natural light, no sense of peace and it feels oppressive and somewhat depressing. The only thing that could have redeemed this experience ? A full refund. Nothing else would come close to balancing out such an aggressively unpleasant, noisy night. No one has been in touch in 48 hours after check out re my formal complaint ? Also side note : the beds - They’re dangerously sunken, with no step or support. Nothing to hold onto. Getting up requires a combat roll and full upper body strength.

Further Hotel blew me away in every aspect, the property is beautifully designed and in a great location! The team are so warm and welcoming - I felt especially looked after by Cara at Portion. Thank you for a wonderful stay, I can't wait to come back!

A beautifully designed hotel in a great location with lovely staff, but lacking some key amenities

The pool area is absolutely lovely, and the staff were all amazing - so friendly and helpful. The bed was really comfortable, the overall design is beautiful, and the location is fantastic being right in the heart of Pererenan, within walking distance to everything you might need.

There’s no alcohol allowed on-site as the hotel doesn’t yet have a licence, which should be clearly stated on the listing. At the moment, the listing mentions an on-site bar, which is misleading. Breakfast must be ordered in advance and comes from an external café, and you can’t order anything by the pool before midday. These are fairly essential things when choosing a boutique hotel for a holiday, and we were disappointed not to be able to enjoy a coffee, cocktail or wine by the pool. Had we known this, we likely would have booked elsewhere.

I went against concerns from negative reviews I had read because of aesthetics!

Beautiful interiors & overall aesthetics. Clearly a lot of time has been put into curating the spaces throughout the hotel & small touches such as incense in the room, automatic blinds etc were nice. Pool area equally stunning, with clever cooling mist above the beds (although my partner didn’t enjoy this, so might be annoying for some). Pool snacks were enjoyable & drinks in main bar Vera were good too. We didn’t eat in the restaurant but it was always buzzy in the evenings.

Upon check in, we took our own bags to the room which, although not an issue, is quite unusual for a high star boutique hotel. I had read reviews about noise levels so booked a garden suite as the hotel advised it would be quieter, however these rooms are definitely not quiet. Our room specifically had an inconsistent clicking noise which they said they’d look into but we never really got any update on - we imagine it was coming from the pool above us. Not only this, the walls must be super thin as you hear everything going on throughout the ground floor (we were just off the reception area) so there is constant commotion from staff/guests/doors. It’s not very relaxing. Upon going to bed on the first night, there were stains on one side of the bed - given the time, there was no staff onsite to change them. In the end, the night receptionist came to do it which is appreciated, even though they didn’t fit etc. When we checked out, we were told the sheets were clean they just had some marks on them - indeed this could be the case but no guest wants to get into bed to find dirty stains & don’t think the staff should have been arguing over it. One thing some people also may not like is all the mirrors are tinted so difficult to apply make up in an already dark environment. I went against concerns from other negative reviews (& my partner) because it looked so stunning, however definitely a lesson for me to go beyond that in the future. I hope this hotel can iron out its teething problems, train staff to be more accommodating & do something about sound proofing because then it will feel much more like a luxury boutique hotel.

I recently stayed at the Further Hotel Cangu in Bali with my mother for 6 nights. The rooms were absolutely stunning and the architecture was breathtaking, just as all the reviews had mentioned. The experience felt like staying in a luxurious pyramid in Egypt, making us feel truly out of this world. The front desk service was exceptional, adding to the overall positive experience. However, it's important to note that the hotel's location might not be ideal if you're looking for a place to swim, eat, and relax repeatedly. Unfortunately, there is no pool or outdoor area to lounge around, and finding authentic Indonesian food nearby can be a bit challenging. On the bright side, there are a few Western coffee shops and bakery places within reach. A standout moment during our stay was when we stumbled upon a gelato shop right across the road, offering some of the most exquisite gelato I've ever tasted. Additionally, the hotel features a restaurant named Vera, which I highly recommend making a reservation for. It's important to note that while the cuisine is Western, the prices reflect that as well. While the hotel itself doesn't have a pool, they have an affiliation with a pool club named Le-Bajo, which I strongly recommend visiting. Located in the middle of picturesque rice fields, the pool club offers a serene atmosphere, two fantastic restaurants, a beautiful pool, comfortable day beds, and even a boutique shop that might tempt you to splurge. Oh and they do breakfast, lunch and dinner and you get a welcome drink, which is delicious! Overall, our stay at the Further Hotel Cangu was a remarkable experience with stunning rooms, exceptional service, and access to delightful dining options and a fantastic pool club. Just be aware of the limited nearby amenities for swimming and traditional Indonesian cuisine.

Worst hotel in my life.

Overpriced. 2틀 밖에 안있었던걸 행운이라고 생각해요. 너무 피곤하고 그리고 원래 방도 다른 방인데 다 꽉찾다고 이방줌.(소음이 덜할거라하고) 밤에 늦게까지 소음 수영장 인듯 해요 탁탁 거리는 소리 노크 소리 같이 들려요 그래서 3시에 잠듬 아침에 수영장 물청소 소리에 6시에 깼어요 ^^... 이제 한국인들은 이리뷰 참고 하시길. 아 미니멀한 호텔이라 직원 분들 베개 바닥에 내려놓고 청소하세요. 첫쨌날 체크인이 늦었는데 청소 하는거 보는데... 침대에 털이 있는건데 왜 매트리스 바닥만 청소하고 다시 올려놔서 저는 결국 8시에 쉴수 있었습니다. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. However, the room was unbearably noisy—earplugs didn’t help, and it felt louder than an airplane. Room service is available until 7 PM. The water quality was poor, with a strong limescale taste. Overall, the hotel felt overpriced. I stayed for two nights and felt lucky it wasn’t longer. I was exhausted, and they gave me this room because the original one (supposedly quieter) was fully booked. Because of the noise i slept around 2-3am I was woken up at 6 AM by the pool cleaning noise. Korean travelers, I’d recommend avoiding this place. If you can endure the noise then go for it. Its good for IG place not for sleeping place. Requested xtra hygiene but I wish i can share the video of noise

Tolles Design, unerholsam durch schlechte/laute Lage

Tolles Interior, sehr tolle Ausstattung in den Zimmern:

Leider unfassbar laut, Zimmer zu beiden Seiten. Zur Straße hinaus kann man kaum schlafen und auf der anderen sind leider auch laute Bauarbeiten. Neben der Zimmer ist leider keine Lobby oder ein Bereich bei dem man sich nett aufhalten kann.
