Great stay

I recently stayed at Further Hotel and wanted to share my feedback regarding the experience. Overall, the stay had many memorable highlights, although there were also several areas that I hope the management can improve upon to better align with the hotel’s positioning and aesthetic standards. First, I would like to commend Mira for her exceptional hospitality throughout my stay. She provided a very warm welcome, offered thoughtful recommendations, and consistently followed up to ensure everything was satisfactory. Her attentiveness and sincerity truly stood out and elevated my overall experience. I believe the rest of the front-of-house team could learn from her professionalism and initiative. I was also genuinely impressed by the hotel’s aesthetic and design concept. The property is beautifully curated, and it was refreshing to see the hotel actively supporting local businesses through its recommendations and partnerships. Additionally, the car service was excellent and greatly enhanced our daily experience navigating the area. In particular, I would like to commend the driver who drove me on the evening of 17 May — a stocky gentleman with facial hair. After I informed Mira that I was looking for a local snack, she recommended several places, and the driver patiently brought me to four different locations in search of it. Although we were unable to find the item, he remained friendly, accommodating, and apologetic throughout the journey despite it not being his fault. His sincerity and service attitude were greatly appreciated. The WhatsApp group communication was also very prompt and convenient, which made coordination throughout the stay seamless. That said, there were several operational inconsistencies and maintenance issues that affected the experience. Firstly, there were some room maintenance concerns: - The hinge of the closet located on the right side of the bed does not close properly. I had to either use my luggage to keep it shut or manually press the door while aligning the catch for it to hold. - The cabinet door covering the fridge also does not close properly. Whenever I opened or closed the toilet door, it would hit against the cabinet door, requiring constant readjustment. More importantly, I found the housekeeping standards to be inconsistent, especially considering the hotel’s premium aesthetic and branding. I expected the housekeeping execution and amenities presentation to match the level of design and experience the hotel aims to deliver. Some examples include: - - A The ice bucket presentation varied significantly each day. On the first day, ice was served in a beautiful stone bucket. On subsequent days, it alternated between a standard ice bucket and even a ceramic plate. The inconsistency felt unpolished and disconnected from the hotel’s otherwise refined aesthetic. - The wine glasses in the room were not washed during housekeeping service. I raised this feedback on the third afternoon to the female concierge at Further Gallery, who acknowledged it but did not appear to take further action. When I returned to the room, nothing had been addressed. Fortunately, I later met Mira at the main building, and she immediately apologised and resolved the issue. - The bathrobes were not kept tidy after housekeeping. I am unsure of the hotel’s standard, but in comparable hotels, bathrobes are usually neatly tied and presented after each service. - On the first day, I had intentionally arranged my vanity area with face towels placed on both sides alongside my toiletries. On the second day, the setup remained untouched, which I appreciated as I assumed housekeeping understood my preference. However, on the third day, the face towels were removed entirely, and I had to reset everything myself again. - The first garment steamer loaned to me was not functioning properly and took an unusually long time to steam clothing. I eventually requested a second replacement unit. It may be worthwhile for the hotel to

We loved it, hotel was so beautiful and breakfast was great. They even provided a small cake as I was celebrating my birthday. Can’t wait to go back again!

Aesthetic but poor cleanliness & comfort Tempatnya memang bagus dan aesthetic, tapi pas check-in langsung ketemu semut dan ada rambut di ranjang. Overall ambience juga cenderung gelap dan kurang nyaman. Tidak terlalu family-friendly karena furnitur berat dan setup kurang practical. Layout hotel terpisah & inconvenient Hotel dibagi jadi 3 gedung. Beberapa room (seperti studio loft) ada di gedung Oaken, sekitar 400 meter dari main building. Harus pakai “buggy” (yang sebenarnya Avanza dan kondisinya kurang proper). Kurang cocok untuk keluarga / group stay Kalau booking beberapa kamar, harus pastikan 1 gedung. Kalau tidak, bakal bolak-balik jauh dan ribet. Shuttle gratis ada, tapi baru mulai jam 7 pagi dan ada batas waktu. Akses & jalanan kurang nyaman Jalan menuju hotel sempit, susah untuk putar balik mobil, jadi agak tricky untuk transport. Parking sangat terbatas Hampir tidak ada parkir. Lebih cocok datang dengan driver atau motor. Desain kamar kurang aman Layout ranjang banyak celah/lubang, jadi berisiko keseleo kalau tidak hati-hati. Tidak direkomendasikan untuk orang tua. AC kurang optimal AC terasa panas dan airflow tidak terdistribusi dengan baik. Common area kurang nyaman Area resepsionis tidak ada AC atau kipas, jadi cukup panas walaupun staffnya helpful. - Sistem komunikasi via WhatsApp Semua komunikasi dilakukan via WhatsApp (24 jam), which is convenient tapi terasa kurang personal untuk hotel experience. - Banyak tangga, no lift Hampir semua akses pakai tangga, tidak ada lift. Bawa koper harus minta bantuan staff. - Overall experience Secara visual memang menarik, tapi secara fungsi dan kenyamanan masih jauh dari ekspektasi.
